It's important to note that this fight was not nearly as easy as it looked. It's not easy for Rimaru to devour enemies that are so far above his own level AND the Orc Lord was devouring Rimaru at the same time (everytime there was green smoke appearing was Rimaru being consumed) their back and forth lasted several hours and in the end Rimaru only won cause he convinced The Orc Lord to concede.

Oh yeah also Geld wasn't a demon lord yet. He was actually still in the process of evolving into one but Rimaru stopped him before the full evolution was complete.

Ruben

Also you guys seem to have another misconception. Rimaru didn't eat Veldora. Right now Veldora is just sitting inside Rimaru until he can find away to undo the barrier around him. But Veldora's still alive and not absorbed.

Gladeez

Guys Veldora is still alive he is sitting inside Rimaru until he can find away to undo the barrier, remember when Rimaru and Veldora became friends

There is a distinct difference between him storing something and consuming something that is slightly less clear in the anime.

Oui Oui

His body wasn't fighting on it's own. It was Great Sage fighting

Also the place you saw when geld turned back to normal was what the desert looked like before

Sunshine Hall

Is Sheera okay? All these uploads she sounds sick. Like her voice is hoarse. Feel better girl! ;-;

Johnathon

When in doubt, just eat your way out.

Zen Reacts

oh man Rimuru is far from unstoppable

Maaan that’s the crazy part. Rimuru is busted, but he’s not unstoppable (yet 😆)

lmao Slime ended

JsnSkg

Bruh, don't you know? In anime, you LET people power up. XD No interruptions are allowed. LOL. Unless you're Android 17, and just do w/e the fuck you want. :P

Jordan

I got mad when they keep letting it eat but then I remembered Dragon Ball Z and just accepted it 😂

Something you might not have noticed is that Rimuru is a little bit larger now, most notably his hair's longer, showing that he's actually gained a notable amount of power from eating Geld. Also this is the first time he's had an actual challenge, Geld was about equal to him at this point and only lost because Rimuru helped him to accept his death.

Erd'na

Just realized that they are watching this series at the perfect time. They don't have to wait for season 2 that long.

KiDo

Damn now I gotta wait another week for more

Minh Le

are you sure Rimuru is unstoppable? well, lets see :))

Ace Overton

Only a few things. This battle wasn't easy. The Devour and Predator skills are basically equal, with the user being the difference. In the end, Geld lost because Rimaru convinced him to give up and that he will take care of all of his people's sins too. The showcase of power scaling is normally pretty well shown, except in this instance. They fought for hours trying to consume each other. Also, he didn't consume Veldora per se, but the jail that is holding Veldora and draining his power away. Great Sage is basically manually calculating the formula to go to the moon. By hand. It's possible, but damn it's a lot of hard work. So Veldora is still sitting inside of him now, and his powerful presence leaks out through him

I love the anime called ascendance of a book worm. I read the novel well before the anime and I would highly recommend it. so much so that from now on every single video I watch as well as any new video posted from this day forth will have this comment on it along with it's corresponding number. The number is to keep track of how many of these I have done. I will do this until they review the anime. This is comment number: 6

I’ll admit it, the Geld flashback made me cry.
