The name Diavolo means "devil" in italian, not a very popular name in real life but it fits the boss well. All his theme music is quite demonic with chanting too. Just to make it clear already this arrow were chasing is special, it's not like the others because it has the beetle emblem on it. Cioccolata means "chocolate" and I believe Secco means "dry" but I might be wrong about that one.

You know someone's fucked up when a main JoJo villain is disgusted by them. Part 5 is definitely the darkest in the JJBA anime so far.

The fungi they're talking about is real, although heavily exaggerated. What the fungus actually does is take control of the infected insect's brain like a zombie, then "possess" it to climb to the highest thing it can find and sit there motionless until a predator comes along and eats it so it can continue its life cycle in the predator's digestive system. If it fails to climb and get eaten, the fungus just bursts out of its still-living body horrifically and kills the bug. If you're familiar with Pokemon, Parasect is based on it.

So if the arrow is made of extraterrestrial material, does that explain why it had no effect on that alien student from part4? Was he a stand arrow in humanoid form?? Or does it not affect his species? So many questions...

the mold is real btw, they’re called cordyceps, usually found in jungles. The zombies from last of us were based on the insect controlling cordycep mold as well

Hear me out I have a theory on this. What if Mikitaka is from a planet that is abundant with the mineral that has the stand virus on it. After years of exposure his people basically integrated it into their cells through evolution causing them to sort of be the stand and have powers. Since, it was said that Stands are the next step in human evolution it only makes sense that it awakens different things in different species. That's why he can't see stands and the arrow bounces off of him. He technically already has stand power but since he's not a human he doesn't have the same powers as them. Thanks for coming to my ted talk lol.

I feel like this is pulling Part 2 together. Because the god Joseph beat became a meteorite and after that people started getting stands. And Giorno's stand is somewhat similar to Karz when he got that godlike power.
