lol, by three spots for nationals, we mean from the tokyo prefecture because they are hosting and have a lot of teams. Karasuno is from the miyagi prefecture which only allows one team to go to nationals. Nationals will be composed of teams from all the other prefectures in japan

No there are 3 spots for Tokyo teams in Nationals because Tokyo is such a big prefecture... Other prefectures like Miyagi can only send one representative which is Karasuno, they earned their spot as Miyagi representatives in Nationals after beating Shiratorizawa.

Pretty much what everyone else says, the size of the prefecture affects how many teams they can send to nationals + the hosting prefecture gets an extra slot as well, so Tokyo gets three

Itachiyama beat fukurodani, (bokuto’s team) that’s why it shows them first and bokutos team second and finally nekoma being third just barely making it to nationals.

Karasuno is the only rep for their prefecture because its a small town out in the countryside. Tokyo gets three because of the size and amount of schools there

The important thing to note which you may have not noticed is Bokuto's team lost and got 2nd. Itachiyama got 1st. All 3 qualified.

I thought the animation in s4 was pretty good, it adapted the manga well. There was just that one or two episode that looked bad and thats cause it was outsourced. The second half of s4 wasnt as good as it should be cause of covid

The only dude on Nohebi who actually had any pride in his play was #4 Numai(guy who dislocated his thumb). That’s why he said “Suguru says being called cheaters is a compliment, but I hate it. So I’m going to shut them up” doing it with his serve

Karasuno and Nekoma are in different prefectures, it's like different regions in the US. Karasuno is from a much smalller Miyagi prefecture so they only have 1 spot for nationals which they took when they beat Shiritorizawa. Nekoma is from the Tokyo prefecture which is huge so they have 2 spots avaiable, the 3rd "venue sponsor slot" is because Tokyo is hosting Nationals this year so the host region gets an extra spot which means Tokyo can send 3 teams.

I think the reason why Libero's are more likely to be short is that they have shorter muscles, ligaments etc. so they don't have to move their body that much in order to create explosive power, so it is easier for shorter people to react in the manner that a Libero should.

Plus taller players tend to use up more energy moving around compared to shorter players so Libero is an ideal position for shorter players.

tokyo gets 2 seeds because of how many teams there are in the big region. And whoever hosts nationals gets an extra seed, that's the "venue sponsor" slot. Since tokyo is hosting this year's nationals, they get a total of 3 seeds. Itachiyama won the entire tournament (they defeated bokuto here at the end) so they get the 1st spot, fukurodani got the 2nd seed since they lost the finals, and nekoma won the extra slot because they won 3rd place.

I've already seen a lot of comments saying it, but yeah, depending on the size of the prefecture 1-2 teams get to qualify to go to nationals, so miyagi prefecture (karasuno's prefecture) is small enough to only get one slot, so they had to bust their asses and beat shiratorizawa to make it in, where tokyo is so big, they get two representatives by default. So since Fukorodani won that first match against Nekoma, they automatically qualify for nationals since they're in the top two of the prefecture. The team they lost to in the second match, Itachiyama, would have beat Nohebi in the first match as well, and normally those would have been the two reresentatives. However since tokyo is hosting nationals (which I got the vibe from the show that they always do, but I'm probably wrong) they get an extra representative, which is why the Nekoma Vs Nohebi match even happened, since there wouldn't be a need to determine who made 4th vs 3rd place in the prefecture.

I agree with roshi about nohebi academy. It was right on the borderline of cheating but not actually cheating because they don't actually touch the ball they just manipulate the ref into making a call that favors them which happens in a lot of sports.

Thanks for the reactions! I just finished watching your S3, E9-10 reaction on youtube and just had to see if you had more! So seeing as you had a lot more already done for the OVAs & S4, I just had to join your patreon. Also, sorry for the long comment ! - You guys probably already know already but the 3 spots is for the Tokyo representatives. That's why it's Itachiyama Academy, Fukurodani, Nekoma and Nohebi playing a tournament against each other. The 1st place for this tournament will be the first rep. 2nd place will be the 2nd rep. And 3rd place will be the special rep (3rd rep). The main loser of this special tournament won't go to Nationals. For Karasuno, since it was for Miyagi Prefecture, Miyagi doesn't get 3 team representatives so only Karasuno represents all of Miyagi. Other prefectures like Osaka, Hokkaido, Fukuoka, etc., due to their larger populations, get 2 or 3 representative schools while smaller population prefectures just like Miyagi (like Nagasaki, Fukui, Yamagata, etc.) only get 1.
