Kazutora’s mind is about as stable as a tilt-a-whirl. I’m convinced he wants to die because ever since he killed Shinichiro (and in spite of how he outwardly blames everyone but himself) he’s been going out of his way to confront and antagonize Mikey, knowing good and damn well what would happen to him. Sadly, Baji wasn’t about to let it go down like that. RIP.

Baji is too good of a human being to be doing all of that for Kazutora. Till the end he wanted Kazutora to not take on the burden of killing him despite the things he did.

It’s kinda annoying when people get mad at characters for standing around or not doing anything. The characters don’t have control over what they do. I mean the creator and animators are in control.

I like this show but it's a little too much crying and talk no jutsu... Something going bad and Takemitchy just screams and cries to the person he wants to stop. I feel like that wouldn't be needed if the author just made him a slightly better fighter.

Only thing that makes my head hurt is how he always cries and does ABSOL nothing in most cases, doesn't even finish the sentences...I...I or Mikey, Mikey.....don't...instead of saying, I love the series but I wonder why the author made me this annoying, literally can't remember the last time I saw a ''useless'' person like this, nevertheless a good episode though

Okay, the way I see it, from those little flashbacks of the previous timeline, Takemitchy DID change things. We see Kazutora literally stabbing Baji to death, while in this timeline, Takemitchy pushed him away after only the first stab. This gave Baji the chance to "survive" long enough to make the self-sacrifice gesture, and make a point of him wanting Mikey to forgive Kazutora. Also, Takemitchy DID intervene in the end, stopping the fight even though Mikey could have killed him too. And then he revealed the charm, which obviously has some sort of meaning, and looks like it's gonna make Mikey snap out of rage-mode. If Takemitchy hadn't confronted Mikey, the charm couldn't have fallen off his jacket, so yeah, his actions DID have major consequences on the outcome. I feel like we all wanted things to go like the first time, when he could actually stop Draken from dying, but it looks like it won't always go as smoothly. At least the guy is doing what he can, and it does bother me a bit to see so many people hating on him, because if he could save everyone flawlessly every single time, it simply wouldn't be realistic.

I'm struggling to really like this anime because it seems like nothing good ever happens or when you think Takemichi has done something good everything goes to shit again. It's just such a frustrating series and the dialogue is so dragged and not to mention THESE ARE MIDDLE SCHOOLERS??

I mean, yeah there's conflict like every anime. There would be no show if everything went perfectly. Draken is alive and he changed a handfull of things in the future. It'll take time for everything to be perfect

Baji killed himself so that a friend who went to juvie because he killed a friend's sibling wouldn't feel guilty for stabbing him... I don't know if Baji had parents involved in his life just a little bit and if it's the case I wonder how you explain that to a parent.

The protagonist sucks ass man. He’s a coward all the way through the show, with random spurts of courage thats lead to him crying and begging. It’s upsetting how majority of the time he doesn’t use his brain and think things through or how he never learns to fight or how he stands around watching. I see now that they compare him to mikeys brother cause he to was probably useless in a fight but had that emotional talk no jutsu

I mean tokyo revengers is such a cool story but the writing is off and full of holes and no character makes sense etc. + the whole setting with "kids" beeing in this story makes it all so weird eventough it wouldn't have to be. I love Tokyo revengers because it is a super cool story it probably is a 8/10 for me (demon slayer is a 8/10 for me aswell for example so I really like the show) just because it is such a good watch with cool characters and all that stuff but man I couldn't take this episode or more like this valhalla vs toman thing serious it is so dumb and kinda makes me angry how the author fails to properly execute the writing eventough he already created this cool world and story. Idk always have mixed feelings while watching this show fails to be a serious and deep stories with realistic conflicts but at the same time it bangs so hard at the light hearted moments and just plain storyline.

i honestly hate the way takemichi just stands there as important shit he knows is coming, happens right in front of his face. I get that he is the weak protagonist but this is getting ridiculous at this point. i love everything else about the show besides that one character's writing.

i think the problem is the anime's pacing. by dragging out this ep to add tension, the anime inadvertently made takemitchy a lot more hesitant than he actually is. the scene in the manga flowed a lot better imo.

I think you nailed it. The manga doesn't make it look like Mitchy could realistically intervene in a lot of the stuff that happens at the critical junctures but the sense of time in the anime makes it seem like he really ought to at least have started to try something.

The issue isn't that he doesn't succeed, the issue is he doesn't even try DESPITE having foreknowledge of everything. Not a single time has he done anything with the information he has from the future. He acts surprised everytime something is going down, the worst part is that before it happens he ALWAYS cries, screams and gives a motivational "I GOTTA SAVE EVERYONE"....then does nothing (like when he did a puzzle for 4 days and was surprised "omg thats right! Today is the day Draken dies"). He doesn't have to be good at fighting, he doesn't have to succeed everytime, he doesn't have to do the right thing, he doesn't have to be cool...He just has to do SOMETHING. There's a reason why Subaru from RE Zero works and Takemitchy doesn't. Subaru tries and fails. Takemitchy gives shonen mc speeches, cries then fails.

you have to understand the pacing of the anime, its intentional. There's no situation where he's actually losing time while he's standing still figuring out how things are going to happen. its just the tension being dragged out.
