Looking for advice! So this is the most current fan subbed episode, we want to know if we should wait or continue on Netflix. What we saw from episode 1 on Netflix was that we would have missed a ton of context due to so much not being translated. We want to know how you all feel? really love the show would hate to have a bad experience watching

Definitely watch fan subs, I watched the Netflix version and you can't tell what's on-screen and miss a lot of context.

This series has WAY too many jokes where gag text appears on-screen for the official subs to be worth watching. If you absolutely HAVE to, the Netflix subs are different than Crunchroll's and they do sub a lot of the on-screen text. There just isn't a lot of polish, so things get messy when there's a LOT of it on-screen at once.

Wait it out for sure. Like you said, if you watch it on netflix you'll end up missing out on a bunch of context. It's the same kind of situation as the netflix vs. crunchyroll argument when it comes to translations(ie crunchyroll usually having the better quality translations) only with this show, it's even more important than usual. Yeah, we know we'll have to wait longer to get your reactions to it, but with this specific show I think you'll have the better watching experience with the fan subbed versions.

This is why i dind't vote for this series, the sub situation is pretty bad. For the time being they could react to Kakegurui to fill the gap or continue Monogatari idk.

Also, T9 was the shit! I could text whole long ass messages while sitting in class staring the teacher right in the eye and i only had to glance down at my phone a couple of times to make sure the right word was highlighted. It made sexting kind of a chore though. If i had a nickel for every time i accidentally turned "lick" into "kick".....and my girl would be like "But...why?!"

I'd suggest wait for the fan subs, because in most cases fan subs are just the better translations. You guys could react to Steins Gate in the meantime would love to see you guys react on it since its a very good show.

Not sure which fan sub site you use, but I have been on GogoAnime/9Anime, unless the netflix subs aren't as bad as people say, the subs I've been using on those sites have translated just about everything on screen, and it is up to current episode 9.

Bro whoever is Subbing these needs to be hired by an offical company ASAP because they are Amazing with them. Also what happened was that for some reason the phone basically automatically dialled someone by holding it to your ear…..was that ever a feature on flip phones because I’m old but I still don’t recall them doing that? Ps one thing I have learned from this series is that Najimi is a troll!

I don't think its underrated because everyone knows how it's insanely good I would say it's a "forgotten" anime in a way. Also agree on a psycho-pass reaction maybe after 86 because it would be a good replacement "theme" wise.

Those are the animotvslash subs. They're a group that does fansubs completely using machine translation, so they're the second worst subs out there after Crunchroll (arguably worse than Crunchroll in some ways). You should never, EVER watch those subs if you have access to the Netflix subs.

Maybe there wasn't any signs or written stuff because I've noticed that's usually what Netflix doesn't translate the spoken stuff is usually fine but for certain shows they don't bother with the background elements at least in my experience

1) Holy shit, how did my comment get posted three times????? WTF Patreon. 2) It's possible that the episodes get updated after a while. Like, maybe not everything is subbed when it first drops, and then later on it gets it? Since I don't watch it right away. Anyway, as of writing this, the past few episodes on Netflix have been great subbing wise. I still think ppl were overreacting. I get partly where they're coming from, but at the same time it's really not something to be up in arms over. People really act like every single mistake made by a company or medium of entertainment calls for metaphorical pitchforks.
