This video is old, but a little Manga context that the show ignores (no spoiler): Basically, Tanjiro was driven by pure anger. The manga says that a human can push themselves passed their normal limit when experiencing intense anger and it makes their eyes bleed and they can ignore intense pain. But at the same time, they’re not breathing. If a person goes even 1 second too long in that state, they’ll die. Tanjiro was exactly at that limit when his sister’s ghost pulled him back. If he took that extra millisecond to cut her head off, he would’ve died before his blade made it through her neck. That’s why he could overpower her like that and why he could ignore his shoulder about to fall off

This was what I've been waiting for the sheer carnage and despair. Lately I've been feeling like Daki wasn't much of a threat because of how easily Tanjiro was keeping up with her movements and it'll turn out an instant mop for Uzui. This was before her bands returned to her but I was pleasantly surprised. Even the subtle details made all the difference for example Tanjiro open stance and the clonking sound when he dropped Daki severed leg on the tile roof. Beautiful work ufotable.

since its explained in the manga and not the anime ill explain why tanjiro stopped. in the manga its stated the humans have 2 limits. life and stamina. he was about to go past his life limit. if he did then he would have instantly died. hes been past his stamina limit. but a second later he was going to die. so even if he did kill her it would be him and her dying.

I don't think it was Tanjiro's dad in the flashback, most likely he's the original user of Sun Breathing. Given Tanjiro's age, his father is 50 at best (I think he's is probably in his forties or even late thirties). If he's such a formidable sword master that can threaten Muzan, there is no way the current master and Hashiras don't know him and his son (Tanjiro).

Here's my thing, I do love the action of this episode, I was wailing like a baby when it happened. BUT, the narration for Tanjiro stopping his attack mid-screen, ontop of Nezuko looking so vividly pissed off, was soo important for context in the manga. I can understand why they didn't do it, because of pacing the episode and what not, but it SHOULD be here somewhere. Like hopefully they go into the Limitations of Humans and Demons at the start of the next episode, because if they do ALL is forgiven.

This just goes to show how far behind the Hashiras Tanjiro still is. Rengoku was keeping pace with Akaza who was higher ranked then Daki and he was actually breathing properly. Tanjiro is just barely doing it but out of rage and uncontrolled breathing. So he’s improved but still far from hashira level and the only reason he can step into the same realm as them is cuz he knows the sun breathing techniques

In case the anime didn't make it abundantly clear, Nezuko saw the carnage in the streets and was reminded of her family, and that made her really angry at Daki. That, in addition to her about to kill Tanjiro.

It was asphyxiation. From his injuries and also when his eyes got bloodshot, it was a clear sign and as he kept on fighting he was holding his breath, I’m guessing so that he doesn’t bleed out. He didn’t start breathing until his sister told him to otherwise he would’ve died instantly😬 Demons don’t actually need to consume humans to survive, they only do it for strength. The reason why Nezuko gets hungry is in my opinion, because of Muzan’s Cells in her body. The same way the other demons can feel what he feels and feel his memories is the same way they can feel his need for power and he gains power through what? Consuming humans but Nezuko chooses to rest to recharge her power instead and she’s still able to regenerate the same way as them but the demons obviously don’t know that.

I get what your saying but I wouldn’t say it’s a Kaioken buff since it doesn’t actually power him up. Just makes it easier to cut opponents with tougher skin and gives him anti regen. The Ruri fight is the perfect example. He could’ve killed him but the fact is Tanjiro was just too damn slow. Idk if you watch one piece but I’d say it’s closer to the original gear second. Luffy got faster and hit harder but was left immobile once the technique ran out. It’s not the perfect comparison but its the best I could think of

Not only that but the image that it showed was a man that looked Tanjiro's dads age (when we saw him in the ep 19 flashback) for sure, but we've also been told that Tanjiro's dad was hella sick. The man who spoke was talking as if he knew about demons and witnessed them kill humans without remorse and had been slaying them for a while. I personally dont think Tanjiro's dad was a demon slayer, but someone who had been taught the breathing techniques of the demon slayer shown in the flashback through the hinokami kagura dance. Also in the ep 19 flashback he said "Tanjiro make sure these earrings and this dance are passed down to you if nothing else, that is what I promised." The promise is likely reffering to tanjiros grandfather as his grandfather probably passed it down to tanjiros dad as a family tradition. All this to say I dont think it was tanjiros dad, but an ancestor...

So the afterlife is something that vaguely defined in Demon Slayer. Each time Tanjiro or Nezuko see their family it softly implied that it actually is them reaching out to the two. Magic is also something that's softly implied. Like the warding mask Urokodaki gave Tanjiro before the final selection. It broke after Tanjiro struck a tree, afterwhich Tanjiro's brother spoke to him, begging him to wake up before he's killed.

People really need to calm down and learn to not spoil anything, it's not that hard to just comment on what episode was shown and remember that we also didn't know anything until later on. There are some stuff that happened in this episode that will only be explained in the next season. And it's normal to mistake the slayer that muzan fears with tanjiro's dad since we haven't seen any sun breathers yet, just a little more thought and it's debunked. Apart from that, I wonder if they would be able to fit the cut parts from the manga that would explain tanjiro and nezuko's situation had they not done a recap at the beginning.
