Every scene you see Geralt in this season. It's all before Cirilla story and the attack on Cintra. Just know Geralt and also Yennefer is before and Cirilla is current. It will all start making more sense down the line.

Please watch the Witcher Nightmare of the Wolf animated movie on netflix as well. I recommend watching it between season 1 and 2 as if provides some cool background on one of the characters in season 2. Also its an incredible movie on its own merits

I just realized while watching this episode, it’s Geralt’s fault that Cintra got attacked. Since what happened to him was before the attack of Cintra, he was the one that gave filafandral the idea to back and regroup in order to become stronger and attack the humans. I don’t think this is a spoiler cause you guys know that that was before the attack.

The timelines are running like this Yennefer>Geralt>Ciri. The most current timeline is Ciri's, however all of the information in Geralt and Yennefer's timeline is also important. As the show goes on it'll start to make more sense. :)

I'm 50/50 on the timeline spoilers. Personally I like the disjointed timeline, for the most part its a fun and effective way to structure and condense multiple story beats that span over a long period of time. However, I feel for most people, nonlinear narrative are more trouble than they are worth, and it might even put them off from the show if it's not explained beforehand. Anyway, they already know, not much that can be done at this point.

More like Sapkowski never really put much thought into it (and a few other things honestly), but considering the story is taking place in a post-apocalyptical distant future, the choice feels appropriate. It's funny that out of all the things to get mad at this adaptation for, this is what gets some people heated.

Sorcerers/Sorceresses DON'T rly use simple cantrips like the Signs that witchers use (they only use those cuz the fuckers are fast af to cast in combat, and they don't rly have true magic affinity for anything more complex than the basic 5 or so cantrips that are hand signs + will, essentially)

TD, the witcher world, is hardcore racist. People are killing elves because of their ears. Do you think, in this world can be toleration for black people? Some stuff is even inconsistent with a storyline, for example, Geralt had a love interest for Fringilla, because in the books she looks like Yennefer (like they are very similar and it is described in detail), but here she is black. And btw, everything is based on slavs myths and legends, and there were no blacks. So yeah, it's hated for a reason

Oh, the choices can be hated for a reason, that doesn't mean the reason is solid. And as for racism, it works on the idea of groups, so if you have a group of "others" that are not humans, like elves, dwarves, yes humans becomes relatively more tolerant of internal differences of humans and focus on hating non-humans. And the comment wasn't even about about Fringilla; when people are angry for more background or minor character, that's says a lot more about the people angry. As for Sapkowski's inspirations, yes they are predominately slavs myths and legends, but we are not in middle age Kingdom of Poland, are we? This is a fantasy post-earth post-apocalitical world, not a period piece or documentary, so everyone can relax with the ethnic purity.

As long as the story is good i don't care what color the people are. For one, magic is not real, two, there are no known races of humanoid species aside from humans themselves (don't get me started on aliens) Third and finally, it is not real life. People who see someone white or non white and assume diversity quota have problems.

That's true some people really need to chill and stop telling reactors what to expect. This trio's IQ are pretty high and they pick on details well, if I caught on the timelines on my first watch, I'm confident they would have too as in many shows that I watch them react to, they always pick on details that I didnt get on my first watch. The timelines being confusing in this show is exaggerated imo as most viewers agree that they it up on a certain episode.

I haven't finished watching the episode yet, but I have to say that I am proud of Roshi. He has been coming through clutch with picking up things in shows in recent times (not just with this show but other shows as well), like when Yennifer tried to eat the flower to cast the spell and Roshi remembered it was from when she saw that other dude eat one before opening a portal. Sheera meanwhile COMPLETELY getting clapped, almost gibberish comments since they make no sense, and looking at a creature with HORNS and calling it an Elf; Jesus, RIP Sheera's Brain. Again, I have to say I am happy to see Roshi picking up the slack cause the other two seem to be done. It will suck if nobody makes connections and remembers what is going on in the shows. Sheera used to be clutch with the emotions and making connections, hope to see her get back with it. (Definitely not the mindless "predictions" and dick jokes, but actual, thoughtful inputs and reactions, Lol.) Also, my man Lupa out here spoiling and "explaining" things not even in the show yet, but not understanding 4 Marks is LESS than 10 Marks. He even acknowledged that the pig was 10 Marks then probably completely zoned out when Yennifer's Dad sold her for 4 Marks...
