Alright, I think the best thing to do now that Cobra Kai is over is focus on the Witcher. That would be the “Netflix show” replacement. Also finishing the Witcher will allow more room for other shows down the line too. That’s just my take on things.

Spectacular finale and amazing season overall. The show covered everything. We were given closure on Aisha, Daniel and Johnny reconciles, Anthony and Kenny drama comes to a head, Robby opens up to Johnny, Kreese's ass finally gets locked up, Eli fully comes into the forefront realizing he doesn't need to hold onto the bravado the Hawk persona allowed him. There was meaningful character development with Tory. The fact that Daniel is finally willing to go on the offensive and remake Miyagi-do into his own style along with Chozen is amazing. I'm happy to see you guys were moved to tears by story.

But OK that scene after Cobra Kai "wins" and Silver is talking abut opening up Cobra Kai's through out the Valley is straight from TKK3, and like Daniel's worst nightmares are coming true. The man who tormented him as a teen, and traumatized him is winning so far. Also yeah Daniel basically said what was my theory on why he doubled down on Miyagi-Do. Silver really fucked with him in the 3rd film.

When I first saw TKK3 I knew Silver was far more evil then Kreese. Kreese is good but Terry was the one who came up with the revenge plot against a teenager for winning a tournament, etc. A kid he didn't even know. My only mistake watching at the time was thinking Kreese might have remorse for that in the 3rd movie lol. Silver is next level.

So here's where I stand with Kenny. I love Kenny's character. His actor was phenomenal at depicting Kenny's emotional state. I understand his pain having being bullied and the locker room scene was justified. I hope that Kenny after dealing with his bullies twice will be able to at the bare minimum coexist with Anthony. No one's expecting them to be buddies but I don't want Kenny to make Anthony the sole target for his odium for an entire season. It's not healthy. You got back at your bullies now just live your life. At the end of the day Anthony did try to end things twice and make amends. When I even suggested this in the yt comments people went off at me stating Kenny's in the right to torment Anthony throughout the rest of high school for his actions. I was shocked how many people wanted Anthony to suffer. Months of Anthony bullying Kenny seeing the harm he's done and trying to apologize should amount to him being tormented for years. If it does turn out this way I can definitely see Anthony training under Chozen and I'm here for it.

Terry as the main villain for Season 5 is God-Tier. Tory is still the best female on this show for me. Daniel is finally going the offense so maybe you guys will stop hating him in the future lol. Season 5 will give Johnny his own 80's action movie when he goes looking for Miguel and I can't wait. Perfect. They also did a good job with the tournament and making the final fights epic. Also for next year....how will Daniel and Chozen work together? He didn't work well with Johnny and he hardly knows Chozen. To say it'll be interesting is an understatement.

When I first watched this show, I'm like "Oh, Miguel is the karate kid." At the beginning of this episode, I'm like "So...Hawk is the karate kid?" And at the end of this episode I'm like "Ohhhhhhh, SAM is the Karate Kid." And it sucks because even if Tory tries to tell Sam that Terry paid the ref it's gonna be a hard sell to sam that Tory didn't know about it because to Sam it's gonna look like Tory was fighting dirty when Tory accidentally elbowed Sam in the face. The high drama potential is real.

The reason Johnny and Daniel didn't work out that well is because they had two very different styles of karate. They didn't have respect for each other's karate style but Chozen is just Miyagi-Do offense oriented. They even had that moment of reconciliation so they should be okay.

Since silver announcement of cobra Kai dojo spreading to different locations I was thinking the the original cast of the show was going to all get together against a whole new cast of cobra Kai & Kenny & other new members like Kyle plus people who joins from watching cobra Kai win that’s what I believe we will see new new faces of cobra Kai exactly how they introduce Kenny and made him liked by a lot they showed it’s possible and I can see them getting a whole new cast because of the absence of a lot of characters plus Miguel and a few others are to old for the all valley tournament now too

When S2 first came out I was fresh out of high school and didn’t mind Stingray, found him pretty funny for what should’ve been an annoying character. Now that I’m an adult and have perspective, in hindsight Stingray is just the absolute worst character in the show, this season making it even more apparent. I guess when I was younger it was like “oh an adult loser hanging out with kids haha what a quirky guy” but now it’s “this is a guy in his thirties trying to be best friends with children, what a fucking loser”. It’s like, you’re a grown man who’s number 1 goal in life is to hang out with a bunch of little kids and play karate with them and willing to go so far to falsely accuse someone of attempted murder to do so.

I don't think it has so much to do with wanting to hang out with kids and play karate with them... It's more so that this is the only thing that he has going in his life, like his neighbor said. This is the thing that he's latched onto. It could have been anything else, but it just happened to be doing karate with a bunch of teenagers. He's a guy in his 30s that never grew up so he's tying his self-worth to the only good thing he has going. Other adults ridicule him, whereas the kids think he's cool. And yeah, he has no accountability or responsibility. Plus he dislikes Kreese anyway for embarrassing him. People have always lied in order to gain something or keep something.

I don't think the locker room scene was justified, because Anthony never physically harmed Kenny. His stupid ass friends did. The worst thing that Anthony did to Kenny was steal his hoodie. I get that Kenny was bullied and he just lost a fight to Robby where he got his ass beat so his emotions were raw, but in the locker room he went too far. He doesn't have to forgive Anthony. He doesn't have to be friends with Anthony (although I think they should be in time). But he didn't have to wail on him like that. That scene... I was done with Kenny from that moment. I'll wait till they redeem him next year to start caring about him again. As for Anthony, I don't have feelings either way. People love that he got beat up because he has been annoying and spoiled for the entire show. But they also went out of their way to depict that he did what he did because of peer pressure and he never really wanted to do any of it.

I will defend that movie forever. Jaden Smith nepotism aside, it was legitimately good. Anyone that is making an objective assessment has to say that it was good. The music was epic, the fight scenes were epic, the cinematography was epic, it had freaking Jackie Chan. The bullying was more realistic because they were in a new country and the kid was younger. And the final kick was better than the crane kick. I'm sorry, but that movie was amazing. If we didn't have Cobra Kai, I would say that it is a textbook example of the perfect remake. That said, the Cobra Kai creators have already addressed this. Jackie Chan can show up on the show as Jackie Chan, but not Mr Han. They consider that film as taking place in another universe as Cobra Kai.

It may just be me but it seems like whenever one of the Cobra Kai sensei's starts thinking about changing or second guessing the status quo of Cobra Kai's philosophy the traditionalist sensei they brought on to help them train their students stabs them in the back and takes over. No not necessarily. They've already said they have more planned besides season 5. Season 6 has just not been greenlit yet. They're planning for stuff beyond season 5. Whether Netflix lets them do it is the question.

nah, yall dont get it cause yall cool but as a former loser i so get it. stingray is DESPERATE to belong. he has no one and nothing and the only time he felt happy, had friends and accepted was with cobra kai so yes once you go from nothing to everything to nothing again you would do ANYTHING to get it back. i was lucky to find my everything/acceptance within myself #imanisland but i would say until my late 20s early 30s i was in his place hence why i kept "friends'' who were never friends to me and stayed in relationships with no good bad boys despite how awful they treated me. fear of being alone and unloved is a POWERFUL motivator for manipulation

really great season and nice set up for 5. im ready for the father drama but i can wait so i can rewatch season 4 a million times like i did all the other seasons so i can really appreciate all the greatness. i pick up something new every time. eli is very good acting wise. im ready for him to do some indie shit. if folks dont type cast him he could be the next great. i see the potential, talent and skill. the subtle things he does to show meekness or strength is INCREDIBLE!

Sam has taken one loss since the series started, and it was rendered meaningless once we found out that the fight was fixed. Sam's character could have taken a legitimate loss that would have led to some sort of character development. Now, if/when it is revealed to her that she never actually lost the fight, it will only prove that she's right again and doesn't need to change anything. Her character has been untouchable from the beginning and that makes it hard to root for her. Getting hurt in a fight that you win isn't the same thing as taking an actual loss and I hope that the writers do more to develop her as the series goes. This was her best season overall but compared to characters like Tory, Hawk, Demitri (who I hated until this season), or Robbie (my 2nd most hated character until this season), there just isn't anything interesting about her.

The fight at her house was mostly a draw id say, neither really won. There are prob a few more, so i wouldnt say Sam is winning

Sam was injured at the school but won the fight after landing the final strike that knocked Tory down the stairs, the prom fight never really had a conclusion either unless you're saying that her and Miguel arguing at the end was the loss. The fight between tory and Sam during prom ended when both were pushed into the pool, I'd call that one a no contest. The fight at her house was also a no contest due to them being interrupted. The only other fight that some people call a loss is the arcade, but since Sam left the fight once tory showed up its not a loss. Im not saying that she never got hurt, all of them have, I'm just saying that her character has never taken a real loss that she could learn from. Its possible she could learn something from this cheat loss she took if Tory keeps Silvers bribe a secret, but I would hate to see Torys character take a step back after the growth shes had this season

I'm kinda disappointed you missed the importance of Daniel having the mc add the two time champion part to Johnny's title. This whole show, nobody has given him credit for that, like Daniel winning against him once erased his past victories. I even added it in my head the first time I watched it, then I heard him say it. I really liked that. Also, Daniel and johnny never agreed to close their dojos if they lost. If you go back and look, they Creese would say something like "If you lose..." and they'd respond with "we won't lose". Lol, they never made a deal with him.

Every time they fight it’s literally on behalf of the girls they’re trying to defend. It’s pretty much the same every encounter after that, the guys always show up at the back end of the conflict and it just escalates from there. The ending of this season is quite literally the first time Robbie actually gave him a chance to be a father, every other time Robbie pushed him away at every given opportunity minus that incident with Sam. Yes he’s a bad parent for leaving him for so many years but don’t act like he ain’t tried since the start of the show. Miguel is my ride-or-die favorite, so the way they sidelined him (while still allowing for some genuine character progression) bummed me out a bit and I'm really hoping it pays off next season. I hated Robby for most of seasons 2 and 3, but he's probably my favorite behind Miguel now. The actor really stepped up his game and between his role as mentor to Kenny and his emotional scene with Johnny, I'm hoping he starts down a path of believable (not heel-turn like Hawk) redemption. Excited for everything they've set up for Season 5 to bare fruit.

Kreese and Johnny become Senseis for Eagle, Robby will learn from both of them and secretly from Chozen, Silver will create an elite squad with Anthony being in it. Ralph said in an interview that he can't see the 2010 Karate Kid version appearing in Cobra Kai. His explanation was that 1. the two have no connection whatsoever so randomly bringing in Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith, while interesting for the viewers, it wouldn't really fit the narrative and 2. in Ralph's mind the two are two completely different cinematic universes so a crossover is basically impossible unless there's a Doctor Strange and a Spiderman whose identity just got revealed in the Cobra Kai verse lol

im impressed with what they did with miguel. as much as this show is heavy on cliche's and nostalgia to soaps and 80s action films they did the unexpected thing of NOT having miguel come in at the last second and not have myagi-do win. he is very much the star/lead but they did such a great job building up the rest of the supporting cast that now with season 4 in a lot of ways its an ensemble now so there was someone to take his place believably. bravo show. bra.vo.
