This was so ridiculously big brain. We were clapped for most of the episode lmao

Comments

LordTouchMe

OMG I WAS WAITING FOR THIS!!

SuperflyAlex

I was waiting for this episode

NecDW4

LETS GOOOO! Woo, quality tanking from max to potato 10 minutes in.

neoplansc

This is probably my favorite episode of the entire show tbh

Devin B

Probably the most big brain moment in this show

Salt n Pepper

this was the best ep for the entire series

WAY

Roshi thumbnail face lmaoo

Drippalo21

Anyone know if they will go back to monogatari?

slipHAZARD

I've never understood why so many people think the game is complicated or "big brained" it's actually quite simple. They just implement it in a fairly creative way. But the game itself isn't that tough to figure out. EDIT: I'm not trying to talk shit or down to anyone that disagrees, sorry if it came off as judgemental.

NecDW4

Shiritori is a game where one person says a word, and the next person has to say a word that STARTS with the sound the last word ended with. So something like Kni(fe)>(Fe)[el]>[El]ope, ets.

jesse almonte

Ah yes, the FBI's favorite episode

Sun
>>77074486

They will. It's either after Komo or after Tora. One of those two.

Hughjass

Easily the best episode for this show

Dbhe

In Shiritori, you say a word that starts with the same letter as the last letter of the word your opponent said. So, for example, if I start with candle, you can say elephant next. And then I could say tree. You can't say the same word twice, and in this game, whatever you say either appears or disappears if its already there.

Lola

Roshi looking confused in both NGNL and Ranking King thumbnails lmao

PolishWizard

LFG 3 days in a row with the lasagna

WhiskeyVector

Their tits weren't censored btw (okay they were but listen), per the game's rules Sora made all nipples disappear when he said "nipples" in the game. He also made all of the girls' vaginas disappear before that. Even had Shiro confirm it for him lmao. What a clever way to "not" censor some tits lol. Props to Roshi for figuring the game out from nothing just a few minutes ago while watching a modified version of it btw! The translator must've wanted to end it when they had to put this into English.

Hobbes

I remember seeing this episode and being so proud that I knew exactly what his plan was as he was doing it

Cloud

Great reaction, All of us are dead next!

Raider

YES!

Smash Bran'Discootch

That freakin thumbnail, I'm dead. Also, i'm really sorry to spam but I really wanna make sure yall watch the credits/look for the end credits scene on episode 8. The outro is different and there's a really important end credits scene.

James
>>77076136

They already said its coming as soon as they get room in the schedule

Thamor

Sheera it's not "flicking her bean" it's "flicking her wing beans" :D. In the game Shiro literally removed their Vaginas so no flicking the bean while the game was going on.

Marko
>>77074625

How do yall not understand? Its not that people think the game itself is big brain, its the utilization of the words they choose and how and when they choose them for set ups is the "big brain" part people mean. Like you said the game is pretty simple, but it becomes exponentially harder with their anime rules of manifesting and erasing things.

Anthony Purington

When a star explodes, it would be way more destructive than what was shown in the anime.

Osiris Cage

I like how people are explaining the game to them when they already figured out how the game works mid episode lol

Peacefinder Simply
>>77074625

the "big brain" part is simply how they took advantage of the rules and outsmarted her so much, the game isn't some crazy complicated game but is vague enough to allow a lot of freedom of creativity. Edit: Didn't see that Marko already said this, my bad.

Stinkmeiner

Yall thought this big brain? Just wait bro they finna turn up.

Crinnit

Best girl Jibril shows up

Paulothy
>>77079780

Happens all the time, you see people in the comments explaining things to them that they've already pointed out

Malachi ☎️

She aint lying bout the bodies part either, hope you guys watch the movie

Emiliano Ruiz Chong

In my opinion, this is my favorite episode of the series, so many things happen, new characters, big brain moves, destructions, everything went above and beyond. Amazing.

Joey Zero

Them titties weren't censored. Sora literally took their nipples away along with the vag.

Zephyrs

Its a different day then last episode, the note when the dog command was issued was "The day ends when shiro and whathername goes to bed" aka never

Harry Tobin

Have you noticed there isnt any guards in the castle since there isnt violence

TYPE_RAS
>>77079744

Although what they caused wasn't a supernova it was a hypernova, an theoretical explosion that literally rivals the big bang (the creation of the Universe). A supernova would only reach a few lightyears beyond its star system a Hypernova would annihilate galaxies

Arturo

Outro was to funny 😂

Falcz

Hope yall watch the movie frfr

かもめのたまご

Shiritori is the same game they were playing at the end of Toradora ep 20

Don Keedick

Anyone in favor of them reacting to Hinamatsuri next?

Matthew B
>>77136932

Funny until it slaps you in the feels. Then more funny. Then more feels slaps.

rickie woodson

i dont know what its called but the game exists in the states and we do it in acapella (riff off). you match the last word with the first word of a chorus. in this game we are going by the japanese language so we go by syllables. whatever the last syllable is of a word the next person has to create a word using it. example: i say baka. roshi can now say kage. i then say genki. you can try and a trick and go ki and maybe you win but anyways you just keep going back and forth until one person cant go or doesnt come up with a word fast enough. verbal scrabble

Austin Yun

"It's black history month Sheera" lmfao jesus

Enkyri

I'm actually surprised you're able to keep up with what's happening Roshi. These are my favorite genre of anime, but they purposely try to lose you in the sauce.

Drake Rage

Why has nobody commented about the audio being messed up? Am I the only one that is hearing a slightly delayed echo with the anime's audio? I hope it does not continue throughout the entire video.

Nononanon

the double audio hurts my BRAIN

Eric Vasquez

In arabic "jibril" is how you say "Gabriel" fun fact.

Damion Middleton

MadHouse was having a Field Day with this Ep lmao

Lupa is Dadi

Notice how much controversy this show had (in the comments) when they showed a crotch shot of shiro yet when she's literally giving mouth to mouth to sora all that energy that had disappeared? lmao actually clowns

baja

You know, as much as i like ngnl It would be a lot better if this was from sora POV. Where the game for him is to manipulate the game his way. Him giggling in his head after the first move when he knew he had a lot more knowledge than this chick expects and now starts playing on how far he can beat her. More western style

GrimmBones

Explanation and some Trivia about stars! To explain the last moments, Jibril wrote with her magic "Empy-headed Academic", which removed the text that Sora wrote on the paper. Meanwhile, on the other side of the paper, Sora additionally wrote "Coulomb's Force", also called electrostatic force, which is the attraction or repulsion of particles or objects because of their electric charge. Two like electric charges, both positive or both negative, repel each other along a straight line between their centres. And when you remove that, well, you remove the energy barrier that holds nuclei of the atoms apart. So what happened in the end wasn't a Supernova like Lupa thought. It was much bigger. It was a Hypernova, AKA a Collapsar, very energetic supernova thought to result from an extreme core-collapse scenario. Basically, the Mother and Father of All Supernovae. To add, Supernova doesn't always happen when a star dies. They only happen when bigger stars die (like, 10 times bigger than our star, at least) after they go from Main Sequence Stars to Red Giants, and then into White Dwarves, and then into Supernovae, while the smaller ones (like our sun) turn into Red Giants, and then into White Dwarves, and, theoretically, Black Dwarves, where they lose all energy. (I say theoretically, cause since the Universe came to be, there still hasn't been a single Black Dwarves, because of how long it takes for one to get to that stage, but we assume that they do end up becoming one because we do have Brown Dwarves after White Dwarves)

Adam Levine

This is one of my favorite episodes of this show. It's a little weird because to make the game work in both English and Japanese they had to stretch some of the words which is why the subs say things like "Eye fuel" for lamps and "Hooter nub" for nipples, because the previous word had ended with a letter that didn't make sense for the English version of the next one.

Godrick

lol this episode was way easier to deal with in english XD

Godrick

for the record i want to say I'm a physics student and all that shit was legit

L.lollyasha
>>77683144

I'm wondering why it's legit?! How did the disappearance of the mantle go unnoticed from the surface of the planet? The earth not only remained whole but there also wasn't even an earthquake. How did Sora and Shiro survive being in the vacuum of space? And, my favorite, right after the Coulomb's Force disappeared, the earth core has started collapsing rapidly. Gravity still exists, however, the bodies of both The blank and Jibril are still considered "their bodies"? Actually, Is it possible to say words like "matter" or "atoms" in this game?

Tijay Carroll

becareful with looking away. they answered ur question but you didnt see when u looked away. he told her she can read the tablet whenever she wants

VictorBR45
>>77683144

Nope, you can't directly cause a player to die. So "matter" or "atoms" wouldn't affect the players at all. When Oxygen and Air were said, the players weren't affected at all (so Sora and Shiro could share the air in their lungs). Also, in the vacuum, they breathed out after saying atmosphere so they could last longer than Jibril without popping.

Goldy
>>77907969

and im not sure if i was reading wrong or what but wasnt it the big bang they created ?

Diego Zenhäusern

My absolute favourite episode of the anime! This is where I went from really enjoying the show to absolutely loving it! The big brains is just insane😮
