I'm with him tbh. Like I was fine with the canon, but this felt a bit forced you know? I was feeling KM too. Like its throws away Harley arc of getting know Kiteman and learning what true love looks like vicariously through Ivy's relationship. As well as Ivy's arc of finding throw love and friendship. Its not like they both couldn't do that with each other, but the inclusion of KM kinda takes away from their respective arcs. Like its not good story telling, which is ironic after the episode they had with the two guys talking shit about this exact thing. Like its ok to hate how a relationship is done in a story if they waste your emotional bandwidth in one direction and expect you feel a way in another.

I don’t really like this development because it kind of says that any strong meaningful friendship is bound to turn romantic and you basically have to be sus of your girl’s friendships, her friends are your competition kind of trope. If Ivy wasn’t with Kite Man it would work better. I don’t think George Lopez was popular in my country so I don’t know if he’s funny or not.
