Woah that escalated quickly lmao they gotta slow downnnnn

Chase Daly

Did you catch the indirect kiss? Minori put her fist up against Ryuuji's lips, and what was the first thing she did after Ryuuji left? That's some down bad activity there.

blitz

one more to go

A.D.Z

Only one more ep 😭

wavyesper

One of the most satisfying kisses in romcoms

Kelsey Roberts

Please tell me you're releasing the last one today. I cannot live on this cliffhanger.

REDRIOT

minorin kissed her first right? so was that supposed to be like an indirect kiss? cause she put her fist against his lips 30sec ago and then kissed the same spot in the hall way. i missed it the first time watching it as well. that was pretty cute, i feel kinda bad for minorin. she should've just accepted him the first time before taiga developed feelings for him.

SWAGxMAGICIAN

Minorin just became my favorite character in the show after this episode honestly. Also, I don't know if you noticed but after she put her hand on his lips, she put her hand on her lips, like an indirect kiss for their "final goodbye"

Devin B

Taiga's apartment was being paid for by her dad but because of his business failing she would have no choice but to go back with her mom and Taiga actually has a decent relationship with her mom but Taiga just felt that she would be awkward with her mom's family. Even though Taiga is 18 her mom had every right to want her daughter to have a roof over her head.

Desmond Sackey

Damn I forgot he said that stuff to his mom, it’s hits different now that I’m older, that wasn’t cool at all.

Javier

Lol its not the dads watch, yasuko told him when he asked if it was his dad's that no it wasn't she stole it from her own father when she ran away from home so the old folks are yasukos parents... ryuji is following in her footsteps it's ironic lol

A.D.Z

Minorin Ami Taiga how can u decide when the 3 of them are literraly best girl

Asad Khabir

So guys when you are done with this would it be replaced by another duo reaction (If so I hope its Kakeguri, its completely insane) or would it be replaced by a trio reaction

Greg Harrison

Teenagers can be so cruel man. Saying that to his own mother

MetsuMonsta

Yes thank you Sheera cuz I don’t think Roshi could understand the Taiga and her mom situation based on that small amount of context with her but he should’ve definitely picked up on a little by the tone she was using and choice of words. Also as someone who’s been in a similar situation to Ryuuji, I fully stand behind what he said to his mom. As a parent they do what they do out of love but Ryuuji was also doing the same. Just because he’s the child in the situation doesn’t mean he’s wrong or doesn’t understand but your faulting him for caring which to me is strange. And he’s right, at least to me, that her failures is what’s got them where they are in life anyway. He didn’t ask to be born nor did she have to run from home, for reasons we don’t know of, and have to struggle in this particular fashion. Me finishing school is one thing but you blowing up about me making money to HELP TAKE CARE OF MY MOTHER is completely uncalled for. He can earn money and still become a success in life. She was forcing her past failures on him as if he was going to go down that exact same path

Lola

You should watch ''My love story'', it is SO good! I rarely liked a rom com that much. It's really original too as it derives from the cliches and it's hilarious. There is also ''Saiki K'', but that's not a rom com. It's a comedy/slice of life/action/supernatural anime, but it's goated!

Smash Bran'Discootch

Ryuuji definitely regretted what he said as soon as it left his mouth. You can see it all over his face. It was still a trash ass thing for him to say and i am also mad that he didn't apologize. But i think in his teenager mentality brain, him running away IS him apologizing to her. Like he isn't just running away to marry taiga because fuck his mom, he is running away because he feels like she would have a better life without him around. It's like when he was saying she'd have a better life if he wasnt born. Well he is born, so instead he's running away so she won't have to worry about taking care of him. Whereas Taiga can't live by herself anymore without getting a job because her apartment isn't being paid for by her dad anymore since his business failed. I'm also pretty sure that he PLANNED on apologizing to his mom but she was gone when he got there. Remember how Tagia said, "About Ya-chan...." and Ryuuji was like "Don't worry, I'll take care of it." If she had BEEN there, he would have apologized to her. Thats why he was saying, "She's such a child, running away" because that was his way of saying, "Damn, i didn't get to apologize." Also, idgaf minorin is still trash. Giving up her savings is the LEAST she could do for all the bullcrap she caused.

Martin Sætran

Ya-cchan is the ultimate mom. You'll learn more next episode.

>>77710568

Yea that how I took the whole him running away bit. Minorin did not have to give them niggas money which she work for to chase the life she wanted because of this riddle and run arc she had. I mean i still don’t like her but the amount of jobs she work and just handed them the money, speaks volumes of her character at least.

MetsuMonsta
>>77710568

Just curious but what do you think he should’ve said? He definitely should’ve worded it differently but you know you say things in the heat of the moment

NecDW4
>>77710169

Exactly. She knew he was a good student. Her working herself into sickness, and getting mad he tried to help out is one of those helicopter parent overcorrections. Its GREAT she wants the best for him, but she also has to respect that HE can and will have to take care of himself someday, he cant just let her baby him his entire life because she's worried that he cant.

Smash Bran'Discootch
>>77710568

I don't really know what he should have said, but calling his mom a failure in life and saying she's trying to push her failures off on him when he knows that she was only pushing herself so hard so he wouldn't have to work so he could have a better life than she did, is kind of shitty. Which, ultimately, is the goal for every parent, to give your child the opportunities to have a better life than you. She did come at him wrong, which is what sparked the whole thing. But at the same time, I think that he had already decided to run away, so part of me thinks that he said that in order to push him mom away because he was planning on running away. I dunno man, I'd have to see the next episode in order to know that one for sure.

Justin Williams

The watch was his mothers fathers watch, so he is meeting his grandparents on his mother side for the first time.

MetsuMonsta
>>77710568

Nah this was definitely spur of the moment for Ryuuji at least. He got hit with a lot of bs in 1 day between Taiga, Minorin, and his mom pulling up. I think initially he just didn’t want to deal with anymore drama but after they got to the bridge it became more of an apologetic thought to run away and since he had Taiga at his side there was no reason to look back

KamiGema

IDK if a lot of people will be on board for this one since it's very heavy on critical thinking and analysis for a rom-com, but I'd love to see y'all react to, Oregairu (My Teen Romantic Comedy Is Not As Expected)

Joey Lauzon

Recommend horiyama it’s a great romance and not to long either or over the moon for you which is my favorite and getting a second season

Danny
>>77712289

SalmonYu

_monjiro

Horimiya after Toradora pls

TheShortGuy

its her grandfathers watch

Denickart

Pet Girl of Sakurasou's another one of the Romcom GOATs

Danny

ngl this ep hit hardest for me than all their love traingle square stuff. not to downplay those but im weak against familial love rather than romantic. the struggles between ryuji and his mom really hits hard. its hard to blame either side since for ryuji he doesnt want to burden his mother and wants to provide as fast as possible. on the other hand, yasuko is literally the perfect mother (which is ironic cuz in the beginning we see her as the most childish character on the show) who has raised ryuji by herself and he turned out great. and all she wants is for ryuji to grow up and go down a better path than what she did. i dont usually cry but this shit hits too hard not to when they were arguing or when they show how much they cared about each other.

Devin B
>>77710568

Just like how Yasuko wants a better life for Ryuuji he wants the same thing for his mom. You saw how he almost broke down when he realized how much strain working multiple jobs was for Yasuko. His idea to run away came from the fact that he thought his mom would be better off without him cause he truly thinks he ruined her life just from being born. What he said to his mother was trash but he probably thought that he was doing his mom a favor by leaving her.

Kurumi

My teen romantic comedy yall would love it

luis delgado

Clannad or Fruit basket to replace toradora and komi

Devin B
>>77710169

The main problem in this situation is that Yasuko doesn't make enough money to send Ryuuji to college so no matter how smart he is it doesn't fix that situation. She decided to work more than one job to make sure that Ryuuji has a chance to keep his grades up without any distractions so I can see why she would get angry at him for working. At the end of the day both of them wants the best for each other but they're not thinking about their own well being.

Steven H.

Watch My Love Story! Its hilarious and wholesome!

Devin B
>>77712965

I recently watched Tonikawa and it was more wholesome than I thought. Can't wait for a second season.

BlackAirForcesEnergy

You two being a long time couple who also married and had kids have an refreshing perspective on their decisions lol. I think that's cool. You two were really taken aback by it and had a whole conversation on why this is a mistake. Which is different and good. And agreed on the brightside they at least went to family instead of a hostile or hotel or something.

Luke4003

clannad, oregairu, horimiya, fruit basket, bunny girl senpai.. there is so much to watch and these are all great choices!

MetsuMonsta
>>77710169

But aren’t scholarships a thing in Japan? Like there’s more than one way to skin a cat, I’m sure he could figure something out while also help ease her burden and I think his mom is just being bull headed when it comes to the topic of Ryuuji’s education. Bull headed in the most loving way tho

Crow

if ya never seen bunny girl senpai ya have to watch that

Oh Alone

Next anime should be “Another”. React with Lupa plz. I feel enjoy every time he scream.

Frozenbozo

Bunny Girl senpai is top tier

Reminder

is monogatari coming back after toradora ends? or has it been canceled?

ALEWUANGO
>>77712289

This is the one I’m most hype for if they plan on doing it def gonna be a 10/10 reaction

Kinglaive

Just one more then we can all watch school rumble, or we can watch re:life

rrayzy

PLSSSSS OREIGARU NEXTTTTT. THE CHARACTERS ARE JUSTTT SOO GOOOD.

Lemoine

Little detail you guys missed, that scene when Minori and Ryuji were in the infirmary and Minori said that goodbye to Ryuji. She lightly tapped his lips when she did that fist bump thing, and then when he ran away, she kissed her fist for an indirect kiss in the hallway

Chunchunmaru

Hoping for fruits basket next

Devin B
>>77710169

From what I can tell in the show Ryuuji's grades are good enough to get by but he isn't top of his class or anything like that. In Japan they have you take entrance exams for the college/university of your choice so Yasuko probably wants him to focus on that and pass but yeah she's kind of projecting her own insecurities onto him. I think Ryuuji should be able to pass those exams while helping her mom out but at the end of the day they're both bull headed.

Oh Alone

Perhaps, Minori and Ami go lesbian after this

Jr. Martinez

I feel like sponge Bob during that I don’t need it water scene 😂😫😫 I need episode 25 😂😫😫

Anonymous

In the version I watched the subs said, “Which one of us did whatever they want and failed to become a respectable person.” When he was talking to your mom. I feel like that is slightly worse than what the subs said in this version.

Alberto Aguirre

you guys should watch My Dress Up Darling

rrayzy
>>77729633

have u watched it? Bcs Komachi is a whole definition of a sibling love and hate relationship. idk what you’ve seen though but you obviously interpreted in the wrong way. 😭

Sydo

Ryuji and Taiga: LETS RUN Romeo and Juliet: LETS RUN AND DIE TOGETHER I like the first one better.

かもめのたまご

Yasuko got pregnant and ran away from home when she was 16 thats why Ryuji said she could redo high school and he never met his grand parents

RuTo-San

"Pokemon Journey" started cracking up like crazy LOL 🤣😂

KamiGema
>>77729633

But nah Abraham I know what you’re thinking about and tbh I hope no one EVER reacts to that

SWAGxMAGICIAN

please put Fruits Basket on the poll for when you finish ToraDora. Or Clannad. I think since Sheera has a kid Clannad would hit hard for her

miss millie.

please put nana on the poll! i haven't seen many people react to it but it's a really good show. good story, a lot of drama, and good music!

OD
>>77773209

Nana is so messy I'd love to see that too

HeMustBeKawaii
>>77712289

I'm with you, but it was on the last poll and lost. So here's hoping they give it another chance!

N1ckv3n

After toradora it would be nice if you brought Fruits Basket

beelzebub

Phew The way Takasu did his mom was pretty bad lol, he might not ever see her again and that's the way he did her

Khite

PLEASE add Skip Beat to the poll!!!!

StrawberryIcedTea
>>77705460

Yea, it was definitely an intentional indirect kiss as a form of goodbye to him in her head. The more I think about it the more I feel sad for what happened to Minorin even though she manifested her own ending this way through her actions. Because yes, she & Takasu would have 100% ended up together organically since they both had mutual feelings anyway and she knows this for a fact. She knows for a fact that she gave up a relationship with him for her best friend which I think must suck worse than knowing that the person you like never liked you in the first place.

StrawberryIcedTea
>>77707161

wait actually I never picked up on this, is Taiga older than Ryuji? Is that why they only needed to wait for Ryuji to turn 18 because she herself was already 18?

jemily113

bunny girl senpai is 10/10

Taylor Moon
>>77708864

Yeah and it's something probably every teenager has said to their parents.. sheera needs to relax

A1_MiLFshAkE
>>77708864

@Taylor Moon I completely agree just didn't see someone like Ryuji saying something like that w/ the relationship & closeness that they had

Brandon L

Ryuuji definitely meant it in the way Shera described, he doesn't want to be a burden for his single hard working Super Mum and wants to pay her back now, but the way he said the other things about projecting her failures onto him was definitely sad and he kinda realised when he saw her cry, which is when Taiga dragged Ryuuji to run
