Dororo is dope. The episode did a masterful play on both the superstitions around Muramasa blades that are renowned for their thirst for blood and "tsujigiri" the act of randomly slashing a passerby.

So, Dororo naturally followed after Hyakkimaru because he was curious. He has no idea why he ran off, so obviously he went to see what's up. Second, Dororo did not believe the story about the cursed sword for even a second at first, so naturally he thinks nothing of touching the sword. All this makes perfect sense for what little knowledge the characters have, compared the knowledge that we as viewers have.

lol the Samurai hair cut is called "Chonmage". Samurai would often fight in humid and hot weather while wearing heavy armor. Which would lead to heat exhaustion and fatigue rather quickly. So they developed the Chonmage style in order to help cool down their body temperatures. They would shave the top and sides of their heads, leaving a portion of hair in the back, this was done so their helmets would fit better and not fall off during battle.

The struggles are a bit less noteworthy, for example, Hyakkimaru got his nervous system back ep 2, then tried walking over fire. I get what you mean though!

the hairstyle was because of the helmets samurai wore into battle. the top baldness prevented chaffing, while the knot in the back was a cushion. later it probably became a symbol of something or other, but initially, it was done out of practicality. Still looks wack af tho...
