Loved this season and I think they will make a season two eventually, but the manga is only about 30 chapters ahead, and this season adapted about 140-150 chapters alone, so it probably won't happen for several years.

Even tho I really disliked how Miranjo was just forgiven without any repercussions, I still can't help but think this anime is really amazing. Everything else about it is just awesome. It may not be perfect but I am definitely looking forward to future seasons. Shoutout to Daida's amazing development too

At least Bojji didn't give up his crown just to be with Kage. If they ended this season with Bojji choosing Kage over his dream I wouldn't know how to feel about this show but at least he's still aiming to be king but for his own kingdom.

The only time I remember it being really bad was the eren/Annie fight in the forest but other than that it was really good, or at least I think it was. and they had a lot of time to grow between season one which first aired in 2013 and season 3 which came out in 2018.

Kage having his mini sad boy arc was unnecessary.I wish that he stayed for a while and Boji saw that being a king wasn’t what he really wanted and that he wanted to start his own thing with Kage.That would’ve made more since then Kage running away for no reason…

I had serious beef with last episode but just seeing Daida apologize and Miranjo actually voice her commitment to being a better person made me do a complete 360. Great finale.

Honestly...last episode ruined it for me, and this episode barely made it better. Who are these people loyal to. If hieling Daida or Boji told the guard to kill either one, it would be a mixed mess. One good thing that happened is that Boji left that toxic ass kingdom. Hieling was right though, she did steal his self confidence then proceeds to have him relinquish the throne to her son. Kingdom full of snakes forreal. These are just my opinions on it and not to persuade anyone else' enjoyment of the series. I humbly drop this anime even if they have a season 2.

Lupa was kidding with the Jon Snow Quote, ma'am, did you forget how badly Bojji wanted to be King?? Props to Lupa though, he remembers past events and even some names too. A happy surprise. Edit: WTF Bojji actually gave up the throne??? I understand it is cooler to become King from scratch... but why did they have to do it like that... Jesus, seriously. Daida's first step to making amends was to give up the throne and Bojji gives it up right after? This show does have a lot of potential and I did like the mysteries and the depth of characters, but I realllllllly don't like the way they do some stuff. They are making this wayyyy too unnecessarily convoluted. They add things that just end up seeming like Bojji keeps getting shafted.. Like I knew Daida and Bojji would not be in the same Country but after all the betrayal and misery Bojji has endured.... Bojji is once again the one that ends up leaving and going through more hardship.. Like it sounds good on paper that Bojji has to go through these hardships to eventually become Rank 1 King, but it does leave a bad taste in my mouth with the way they have gone about it. TL;DR: The show's writing is both good and bad at the same time, lol.

I know Lupa touched on this point but I just wanna say it really was trash for Kage to leave Bojji like that. Kage kept telling Bojji that he would stay in his corner and be there for him and after all they've been through he felt that Bojji didn't need him when he became king. I know Kage did it cause he kept doubting his own worth to Bojji but at least tell the kid your leaving.

This episode was a huge letdown. Last episode had enough problems with the random marriage proposal but I feel like all this contrived drama with Kage running off, made no sense for his character and was just a plot device to shove us in a new direction for the next arc. Also wtf is Kingbo's deal? He really almost died to Ouken and he's going to just risk letting him back out in the world? Moron

Yeah... especially with how last episode ended with Desha becoming Rank 1 King, I thought the Finale will have some epic cliffhanger or something but it just left a bad taste in my mouth with how all the "bad" guys got a happy ending, while Bojji ends up leaving the Kingdom after all that. Like Ouken is actually a good guy who got cursed into immortality and losing his mind so he gets a "bad ending" with constantly drowning and getting chewed up by a fish till someone gets his head back... Then there is Bojji who is the 100% good character who ends up leaving the Kingdom that he was supposed to be the King of, since Bosse felt bad for stealing Bojji's strength so he wanted him to at least be happy being the King.. but nope.. all the good guys got "bad" endings. All the "Bad" guys that caused all the mess like Miranjo and Daida get a good ending with them becoming King and Queen after everything.... like it is really weird how things ended.... realllly weird.

This show was amazing for the majority of it with the character development and the animation, but there's just something about these last two episodes that felt really rushed and like they were missing something, especially with Daida and Boiji never really having that conversation about the attempted murder and if Boiji was going to forgive Domas, which I guess was implied at the end but I still wanted to see that. I also feel like the last minute angst with Kage was unnecessary but that's my own opinion.

Despite last episode I liked this ending. Honestly Bojji being a king just didn't fit him in my eyes and Daida is better for the job especially since hes reborn as a new kinder man ( you daida hater back off because the old daida died remember). Being a Lil adventurer seems more fitting. Also I don't think he needs his strength anymore because he's equipped with something better to defend himself.

Kingbo wanted to f*** Ouken up for what he did to him. Kage running off actually made sense to me. He always stayed at Bojji side as a friend and helped him out, but now Bojji becomes a king and gets a lot of people by his side, he feels he's no longer needed. He couldn't face Bojji and say proper goodbye, but I'm glad they reunited and set for the new journey instead of some cliffhangers.

I dont know if yall remember but the shadowclan people have an intense drive to find someone who needs them, which is probabl what drove kage to leave. He felt that Bojji had grown so much and no longer needed him and that he would just be in the way

Nah kingbo might be my favorite character. Man pulled a judomaster and came back for his round 2 after taking a nasty L. And bosse’s takedown of ouken mightve been smarter and more permanent but kingbo’s definitely got more style points 😭🤣 mans took of his head, said fuck that blood magic shit, and hail mary’d his head into a lake for the fishes to take turn eating 😭 and was laughing the whole time and did it in front of oukens escorts 🤣 thats how you get it back in blood We most likely gonna see ouken again tho so they gonna have to have a round 3

My issue with the end of this show overall is that it had really easy payoffs to very soild setups like boji went from weakest to strongest in 1 episode and everyone of these complex characters all felt they had arrived atthe end of their character arcs to quickly and everyone just forgiving each other and just saying that's understandable just doesn't feel right

Miranjo abused and manipulated Daida all his life. I understand her trauma but doesn't excuse all the atrocities she did. The fact remains that she repeatedly manipulated and murdered a lot of people for her goals this payoff doesn't sit well w/ me

Her mom wasn't just murdered in front of her. She was skinned alive and had her limbs cut off. Lets not forget that Daida basically got a front row seat to all her motivations and her life. I do think forgiving her isn't the most satisfying conclusion. She did a lot of wrong, but at the very least, it seems like she's going to work to right those wrongs in the future.

Yeah, even calling it looney toons (at the end) is an understatement. Alright so listen to this, Daida is allowed to marry Miranjo who has definitely done way too many awful things, and literally almost destroyed the whole Kingdom a minute ago, but she is allowed to end up being the Queen. BUT, Bojji is sad and misses his friend Kage, so Hilling's advice to Bojji was to "find your own place, where you are happy and don't let go"... which means Bojji has to leave the Kingdom if he wants to be with Kage?? Why? So, Bojji is not allowed to just bring Kage back?? LOL Like Hilling can be perceived as a whole villain "manipulating" Bojji to make her own son, Daida, King again.... if we didn't already know that Hilling was actually a nice person... They built up the season really well, but ended it with an actual circus-clown show.

Same I love this show all through out and I’m with the forgiving Miranjo thing contrary to how everyone else feels, but I felt like the last 2 episodes could of been written a lot better. All the build up the shows been progressing towards just turned out to be somewhat impactful

Daida getting himself trapped in his own body from all the scheming and cheating is not considered punishment.. he brought it on himself by listening to a freaking Mirror and being heartless AND dumb enough to want to kill his brother and everyone who voted for his brother to be King.... even though he had already won.. he stole the throne successfully.. then decides to become a Dictator, started with ordering Bojji and Apeas to get assassinated.. later he would have just extended it to start killing anyone who might oppose him in the future. When he finally comes back he announces his intent to marry Miranjo, thus making her the next Queen (aka the Queen will be the person who nearly destroyed the kingdom). As much as I understand Miranjo's actions.. even forgiving her is understandable but how you going to make her the Queen?.... The people suffered way too much due to her to then have to bow down to her as she became the Queen thanks to Daida... makes no sense. Like Daida's "character growth" is basically that he used to be a complete piece of shit, but now he is just a complete idiot, who is also shameless if he does keep the throne after all the scheming and plotting he had to do to get the throne in the first place. If he really had a change of heart, he would be ashamed of himself and exile himself from the Kingdom... not make Miranjo the Queen.

The entirety of it wasn't bad but there were certain scenes like when he did that big punch that spun his whole body in a circle causing him to fall, and the one where he had her on the ground that seemed a bit weird to me. But I also haven't seen season one in like 5 years so my memory is iffy so yeah I guess I'll have to rewatch it then.

A tiny detail I really enjoyed when I was watching this finale is how the context of the final moments of the show make the ED sequence seem like you're seeing the continuation of Bojji and Kage's adventure. This was a masterpiece imo, gonna have to just wait to see if Spy x Family or Chainsaw Man comes out later this year to really contend for my favorite of 2022.

it was a good ending emotionally but story wise it was pretty bad tbh. All that just to give up the throne because your dumbass friend decided he didn't belong there for no reason. It was like everything that happened was mostly pointless and we back where we started. Also don't understand if bosse is dead and miranjo died ( then obv came back ) why wasn't boji's cursed lifted? I guess that's the plot for next season? Because Boji should of gotten his strength back and gotten bigger. Its confusing and felt kind of rushed. Emotionally tho this show was beautiful and I loved it. Also I think it was implied via flashbacks and few other hints that the Gods gave up directly ruling humanity in order to control them using the ranking of kings system. Theres probably a whole lot more to go into with that and its probably some fucked shit. Boji without his curse even lifted is basically unbeatable at this point so only option is to introduce overpowered god characters his dad couldn't even beat without cheating.

Im very late to this, but I believe it has something to do with the gods, they fear the mortal races becoming strong enough to kill them, so they use the rankings to eliminate them, the "treasury" in reality is more like a pandoras box, anything that comes out of it is either cursed, or its effects are not what they seem to be, its funny how the messanger who comes to evaluate the rankings suspiciously looks like one of the gods during the war where miranjo people were genocided.
