Jay

just subbed and was treated to this😩🙏🏽

Bennie Bee

I clicked this faster than I could breath.

Ashley

AYYYY I WAS WAITNG FOR THIS

heirisrequiem

I never knew Egyptian music hit like this🔥

Ryder LS

The third personality boutta be black and they'll have Oscar Isaac do a black voice, getting the show cancelled in the process lmao

LeFlaneur

I’ve been wondering, are they treating Black Panther as an avatar of Bast, or like is he just channeling a little bit of her power. If he’s a legit avatar, with more people having faith in Bast than Konshu, wouldn’t Black Panther power level be way higher than Moon Knight? Marvel has always been kind of trash with the power scaling, but it’s becoming more of an issue now that they’re using all of their characters.

LeFlaneur

It’s literally spoilers. But Ranginald to be fair if you look at the other show comments, manga readers are just as inconsiderate

Joseph

People were saying one of the avatars in the meeting had an African accent and looked wakandan in looks and clothing and are saying they’re Bast’s avatar and that instead of BP being the avatar he’s the gods warrior

Julius

Sheera really likes Boost Juice, huh?🤣

Ranginald Vagel

It’s funny to think that Marc now knows the feeling of blacking out and suddenly coming back to mayhem

LeFlaneur

Show runners are saying that Light Yagami was wrong and calling out people who didn’t root for L

Jake White

It’s not really clear what exactly gives these gods their power in the first place, whether that be number of faithful believers or just an innate feature of their existence.

David

he was showing himself in episode 1, no one else set up the date with that mystery woman

David

we are blessed to have Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke man they are too nice

Asellian

bro if he said get on ur knees to me i wouldve been gawk lol. Dude is a hotty

MaybeNextTime

This show is easily the best of the bunch of Marvel series to date.

Erica Collins

bro wtf did Konshu do to Harrow to have him be so tramautized talking about abuse and stuff omg he actually looked like he was going to cry when he was talking to his statue. I kinda feel bad for him Also I think the reason why Konshu didn't have Marc kill Harrow is because Harrow hasn't done anything evil or else he would've clapped him by now cause remember, Konshu only kills those who have already done evil. & another reason is maybe because Harrow is old......but then again he's about to be an avatar for the other goddess so maybe not

Ethan

Why're you being such an asshole even though you were the one to blatantly spoil? Defensive much?

Corey Greene

Mummy Tims would be a fire look can’t even lie

rickie woodson

they change the name of Isis to eesis cause of the terrorist organization but still pronounce osiris the same....should for continuity just have it be oseeris

Pablo Gutierrez

when they were turning the stars back 2000 years, I actually felt like my whole shit moved

Alex Omega

I like how Arthur is using Khonshu's past against him, Marc's present illness against him, to get the Gods and Goddess to turn against Khonshu & Marc so he can summon Ammit in the future.

LeFlaneur

Let me warp people’s experience because I absolutely need them to know I know stuff from the comics, and let me get offended when they call me out on it 😬

Pablo Gutierrez

the third personality is actually a hood nigga

Simple Fan

Sad to not see Khonshu for a while. He’s hot

Alex Omega

To defend the Gods and Goddess in this episode, Khonshu DIDN'T brings any evidence or proof to the court plus KNOWING he has bad blood with them too. He basically came there saying "ON GOD Arthur is doing shade shit so stop him" They mention that they don't focus on the people of Earth besides their Avatar so, of course, they wouldn't care about Arthur or any other humans UNLESS they had any strong evidence to their claims which they didn't have at least that's how I saw the courtroom trial.

Smash Bran'Discootch

Just remember, the egyptian god of the moon has four aspects.

BZD

Wait they actually changed the spelling of it?

slipHAZARD

Personally I thought this episode was a big step down from the last 2. All the horrible green screen in this episode made it look like a CW show. Plus the big fight was kinda lame, like he's the Avatar of an Egyptian God why is he struggling against like 5 rent-a-cop security guards with spears?

aostheory

Pretty sure that the black woman in the pyramid of Giza with the Ennead was the avatar of Bast (of Wakanda), just my guess though.

slipHAZARD

Also they better mention atleast one of the Avengers next episode. Because surely some one would be curious as to why there was an eclipse one day and then the next day the the stars flew backwards in time.... People saw that shit, it's got to raise some eyebrows no?

Vexxed

SO NO ONE IS GONNA CATCH HOW ROSHI SAID “WONT THE AVENGERS SEE THIS”. Y’all know what time this is 👏👏👏👏👏👏 (EDIT: Yeah I messed up. The entire time I thought it was DC due to the dark setting 💀)

logan

My question is, during the judgment why didn't anyone point out the Ammti tattoo that Arthur has? or maybe the fact that he has the scarab? Seemed kind of stupid to me

Saynt Michael

What does pronouncing Isis a different way have to do with pronouncing Osiris a different way?

RonyOnPat

Homie was struggling because he has healing, not invulnerability. He was literally impaled like 5 times because Steven wanted to try and reason, he's also literally just a human with powers, not a god. Also, don't know if you caught on but hes also being thrown off by his alter, guy is having the mental fight of his life and you expect him to perform at his best? Yes, he probably would have kicked ass but his alter took control and, as a result, got him into the situation that he was in. It wasn't due to a lack of skill or anything like that.

slipHAZARD

Dude that whole scene made no sense what-so-ever. Mark: He's up to something! Arthur: No I'm not Egyptian Gods: Well he's clearly not up to anything, you may go

Ethan

I think Khonshu has done enough stuff in the past they'd honestly not take his word for anything. But yeah, it was a stupid point not to make about the tattoo. I'm just hoping they're feigning ignorance and actually investigating on the side.

slipHAZARD

What sorta Jedi mind tricks did Arthur pull on the Egyptian Gods? Or are they just that flat out retarded (and I actually mean that in the correct medical sense). You would think they would take a little more interest in the idea that some one is trying to resurrect an Egyptian God that was so dangerous they had to seal it up and throw away the key. Like could even just one God poke his head around and be like "So what's with all these hundreds of people digging around in the middle of the desert?"

faded

Why do you always have to criticize something? Ong just watch their reaction and stfu up lol

faded

Ppl like you literally don’t want me to read the comments anymore, get some cooch to relax dawg

HybridEclpse

Shouldn't the Black Panthers be the avatars of Bast since they get their powers from her or am I wrong?

slipHAZARD

Well he's seems fairly invulnerable, I mean we did see him get hit by a car at full speed, seen him get shot multiple times and pretty much walk it off right afterwards and he does have some form of super strength. I wasn't really expecting him to perform at his best but at the same time it's just a handful of security guards I wouldn't expect him to need to be at his best.

slipHAZARD

@tryph lol "get some cooch to relax dawg" bruh I think you need to take your own advice, you're the one getting triggered over a comment about a disney comic book show.

aostheory

Hmm you could be right. The way I see it though is that the Black Panthers get their power from Bast through the heart shaped herb and can commune with Bast in the astral plane or whatever, so its like a gods blessing. But Bast's human avatar would be how they can take physical form on earth I guess only snag in that is Khonsu doesn't seem to work like that

Fedei

Wth are the Avengers gonna do? The only one on my mind that might give a crap is probably D. Strange but he's probably busy with the multiversal stuff. Tbh I really don't wanna see any Avengers in here, if they do show up then cool. Just tryin to watch a series with new characters with new problems that they're tryin to fix, that's it.

slipHAZARD

@Hybrid Doesn't the Black Panther get their powers from like that flower boost juice or something? It's been a while since i've seen the movie, but I think they just prey and speak to Bast but aren't actually it's Avatar.

BZD

Wow. This is a whole other level of power compared to what we’ve seen in anything prior. Sure Captain Marvel is strong, but she’s not strong enough to literally alter the path of the moon and cause an eclipse. Outside of someone using infinity stones, Konshuu is definitely the strongest character we’ve seen. It’s a shame he got the Han Solo treatment. But wow. This episode was amazing.

BZD

So apparently this takes place after Endgame. So the avengers are kind of in disarray.

BZD

I like to imagine that all the aliens out there in the MCU went on one heck of a roller coaster this episode.

aostheory

Yeah they do from crushing up the heart shaped herb. Just not sure what that makes them to Bast, I still think the avatar would be separate from the Black Panthers like you said since the just speak and pray to Bast

slipHAZARD

@Fedei Itotally agree with you that I dont actually want to see any of the avengers in the show. But at the same time it is a connect universe that they've purposefully built to be connected. And the stars in the sky did fly backwards in time, whether or not they would be able to do anything about it it still should cause some one to be like "huh that was weird". I know it's become a bit of a cliche since the first Avengers movie but Marvel has done a good job, especially with shows like Agents of Shield where they don't need to actually physically have the Avengers there but still make the worlds/shows/movies feel connect. I mean they could have just made it so that no one could actually see what they were doing, like give Konshu a throw away line like "what were doing is happening so fast that no one will be able to notice or perceive it"

aostheory

Yeah until we know when this takes place we won't know what the Avengers were doing at the time. Still a fair question tho

faded

@slipHazard nah thanks i’m good. Got nothing else? It‘s not even specific bout this show. You’re crying bout the smallest things under every reaction i watch, it’s crazy

Victor

It may be trivial, but doesn't the Ennead suppose to be a group of 9 Egyptian gods like Steven said? I only counted 7 avatars, and that already included one of a banished god's (Marc) and a sealed one's (Harrow).

slipHAZARD

@tryph lol yeah? You're good on getting cooch? You should try it man, I think you might not get triggered by comments so much if ya did.

13

Good to keep in mind these gods and their avatars arent all knowing. This is like the equivalent of a crazy guy with a record illegal activity running into a police station and accusing someone(who theyve mentally broken down btw) of murder with no proof.

Mr. Glasses

When Lupa and Roshi said it at the same time, that had me cracking up.

Dontsop Keran

I mean in most modern media mythological gods are seen as overly sure of themselves and cocky. So I think it fits into their character

slipHAZARD

Yeah but to be fair it's not like Konshu is accusing Arthur of stealing his lunch money or saying a bad word. He's telling them his former Avatar, who knows of the existence of Gods is trying to resurrect a former God that they deemed so dangerous it had to be sealed away for eternity. Like if my kid came up to me and said the neighbor kid called him a mean word I'd tell him just to ignore him and play with other kids. But if he told me that the neighbor kid was trying to burn down our garage, I might just poke my head outside just to make sure.

Joseph

Wanda and Strange alone are more powerful than Khonshu

ArtCPU

I'm pretty sure the tattoo is covered by the sleeve and they just never saw it

Sthuthukile

Fun fact: the name Layla with that spelling, is an Egyptian name meaning "night" or "dark"

Sera

I think it's funny how this other personality was introduced the same way Marc was introduced to us. (and Steven) Just dropping bodies all around and the host being confused about what just happened

Frizen

There is no reason for an avenger to show up. Something weird happening in the sky is not enough. Honestly think about each of the avengers and try to come up with a logical explanation for that person to go to Egypt, there are none. At most a shield agent might be sent for recon.

Chuzo

Man i hope this new personality is Jake that mf’s a an actual hood nigga like fr thats his character 😂 not even capping but idk if they’re going the comic route

Ren

Oscar Isaac is taking home every award for his performance in this show.

Sthuthukile

It's not really an indication of strength level though, just a unique kind of power

Persto

If I do recall correctly, in Black Panther, Wakanda worships Bast to some extent because they mention her during the scene where T'Challa is first inheriting his power. Also I do believe that when they get to that special plane during T'Challa's visions, they see Bast or some incarnation of her as a panther/cat. So I'd be willing to bet that Black Panther warriors get their power from her to some extent, but not as much if they were her Avatar.

DevilMayCarter

Ngl this has me thinking about Yu-Gi-Oh, the whole mind shuffle between Yugi and the Pharaoh.

Azayzel Hoarde

i feel like even if the Avengers DID see the night sky just start spinning there's not much they could've done, MAYBE Dr. Strange but I'm assuming he's busy with a multiverse of madness maybe LOL

Sthuthukile

In any mythology, gods are just vain and conceited rather than all knowing and wise. It's best to just consider them an immortal species than morally superior in any way

clement

the other gods seems so stupid don't you think?

Argo2Unitard

Taunting mid-fight increases your combat multiplier by a lot

Dude559

I just imagine Nick Fury sitting on his fake beach in space somewhere suddenly seeing the sky shift and go "I am tired of these motherfuckers on earth fucking around with the motherfucking universe"

Mufasa's illegitimate Son

Moon Knight is literally what DC should've been - it balances its dark, and intense moments with its comedy perfectly. Moon Knight is such a good show to the point where it makes you forget it has anything to do with Marvel

Panda

Whats the name of the song lupa is referencing? I try to find it every once in a while but i have no idea what to look for lmfao.

Foxyguava

Honestly assumed Mogart riding off on the horse injured would be how they wrote off the character after the actor (Gaspard Ulliel) died 3 months months ago in a skiing accident... but filming wrapped in October and I saw Ulliel credited for more than 1 episode.

Foxyguava

To be fair... even if the Avengers were in full force, if the sky was just suddenly spinning where would you even begin to suspect as the source of the phenomenon lolol

Foxyguava

As Harrow's car stops with him looking at the sky Roshi: " Of course you're close by" Bruh... how is anyone not close to the sky? lmao

Foxyguava

What would the Avengers do though? Avengers: oh hey the sky is spinning... let's go to...umm...umm.. the sky? And then umm... well...umm... shit

Foxyguava

I read somewhere that it was always something like Aay-siss or Eee-ses because of however the Greeks interpreted waaaayyyy back in the day. When it was anglicized it became Eye-sis. Either way... we are talking about interpretations of names from Hieroglyphs that are technically only consonants with vowels being super contextual but largely lost to translation and time. It's mostly a kinda poetic interpretation... which is kinda why some people say Ee-sis should be more like Ee-se-t for a feminine ending

Malcolm Washingon

Not sure you can have set nowadays and still have peace. He gotta be sealed in stone cuz otherwise the avatar of set would be on demon timing

Connor Sievers

i also didnt really like that scene but it kinda makes sense. Like dontsop and a couple of other guys in the comments said gods can be pictured as cocky. Also just because they are gods doesnt mean they are all knowing, they said that Ammit was burried somewhere even the gods didnt know.

Kenneth O'Connor

Bruh I think mark killer Layla’s dad, dude in second episode was talking about how mark hog tide some archeology ppl n shot em and this ep layla said her dad was killed while working or something like that

BZD

Yeah. I legit forgot about them and then realized later. But I already have as clapped, so I decided not to change or delete my comment. Gotta take that clapping like Moon Knight takes a spear through the chest.

BZD

Especially the one who looked like that guy on Shark Tank

BZD

I’m pretty sure that he was working with Layla at the time he did that, because she also needed a fake ID and had to be careful in Egypt.

BZD

I feel like the gods missed the whole Thanos thing, because they’d realize that things like gods have already been revealed.

Jaime Ruiz

It's pretty obvious what happened. Marc created Steven during that time and was one of the ppl tied up or killed along the way by the ppl Arthur hired. He recognized Marc as a mercenary.

Jaime Ruiz

You gonna tell me these gods dont have a power to check someones mind... like come on. They were fucking stupid.

Jaime Ruiz

The Avengers officially disbanded during Civil war and only got back together for infinity war, end game. So they dont really exists hence why the new phase has been about creating new avenegrs.

Oliver

Shit bro imagine Layla marrying Steven while Marc just being trapped on the inside. That would be a hole anime concept lmao

LeFlaneur

They could always recast Mogart with someone like Marc-André Grondin or even Ben Barnes, depending on what they do with Punisher characters.

LeFlaneur

Gods being complacent trash and getting clapped for it is the plot of the next Thor movie.

These Plums

Sheera's theory at the end was already confirmed. Harrow said that himself lol

LC

This show has been way too smart for some of the dumbass moments this episode. Like that guy on the horse that saw 27 guys get folded and thought 'nah, IM built different'

LC

or the sarcophagus exploding but the pieces still being perfectly fine? did all those theatrics for no reason. or the extended shot just watching the jeep drive and the random shaky cam.

Jigga Man

When you attempt to clap your hands but get your cheeks clapped instead

joshua rosario

or the fact to put the map together in front of the only light source they had on the jeep hood to then facing away from the light so he cant see the map and placing it on the sand floor...

Victor

I think that the third personality is the one that dated the girl back in episode 1. First I also thought it was Marc, but watching this episode made me realize that Marc was committed to the mission and he truly cared for Layla, so dating another girl is out of his character.

Rene Sanchez

i just realized that the moon phases represent the episodes, we're halfway through and there was a halfmoon

Bazil

In the 2nd episode wasnt Konshu telling Steven to break Harrow's windpipe?

Erica Collins

@Asad I'm pretty sure he was just saying that because he didn't want him talking to Steven lol He just wanted Harrow to shut up lmao. He's just tied of his bs plus they have personal beef 😂 I truly believe that if Konshu actually wanted Harrow dead he would've been dead by now. & because of how dire this situation is I don't think Konshu is the type to let stuff like this drag on. He said their mission is to stop Harrow not try to kill him

aostheory

Went back and watched the episode, she is actually the avatar of Tefnut lol. They actually mention all gods in attendance

Champion Bescos

Damn. I feel like people are purposefully misinterpreting your comment just because you had criticisms of the show. I thought your comment was pretty straightforward about "mentioning" one of the Avengers. No one wants or needs them to make a cameo, but it wouldn't be hard to have a mention of them, even in the news in the background. Like you said, an interconnected universe needs to be consistent with the powers that be keeping an eye on big shit like this. Now I, personally, am enjoying this show far more than any of the other MCU Disney+ shows, but I can also acknowledge that this was the weakest episode yet. Between the editing being choppy and incoherent, the effects feeling unfinished, the choreography of the fight scene, and the logic behind characters' decisions, it felt less... genuine. Less thought out. Like, the writers and producers knew they had to get character to point B and C, and just haphazardly tied them together. Guess what, fellow fans? I still *really* enjoyed this episode. Had a blast watching it with the wife and again with the crew here. But I can still acknowledge ways that the episode could have *easily* improved itself. Why must we settle for decent when great is readily available with a bit of perspective? We're all on the same side here, no?

this guy ?gae

lupa said he would freak the f out, for what? let me remind u that dis is taken in mcu where alien and angry big purple guy who snap half of the universe exist, hell i wouldnt even be suprise at this moment coz shits happen and exist in mcu.
