Also the S1 and S3 endings tie together. So Miyuki didn't invent the airplane, but the narrative is that he's been waiting since the WW1 era to get a chance to go to Kaguya. The S2 ending just foreshadows the final episode of the season.

First off, the ending is a sequel to the first one and it's a callback to the princess kaguya conversation when Shirogane said he'd drink an immortal elixir to save her. We also got some foreshadowing for his character development. Peak😩

The reason Shirogane can’t say anything about Hayasaka’s perspective on wether people will love the real her is because Shirogane does it too. Like whenever Shirogane and Chika train, that’s Shirogane trying to hide his weaknesses and vulnerability because he believes Kaguya couldn’t live the real him.

In the ending of the previous season it was Kaguya who was dreaming and was woken up. Now it’s shirogane’s dream about her and he is woken up. That shit is cute, even outright narrative plots. Nice~

The ending song is probably their own take of Kaguya-hime's story. Remember when they were watching the moon and Shirogane and Kaguya was talking about the story. Where kaguya-hime left to go to the moon and left him an elixir of immortality. In the real story the guy burned the elixir of immortality because he cant live in a world without kaguya. But Shirogane said if it was him, he will never give her up. That's why in the ending song, Shirogane was holding a green bottle which is presumably the elixir of immortality. You can see him invent the plane, and then invent the spaceship and attack the moon all just to rescue kaguya.

Hayasaka says ooki (大きい) which can be interpreted as either large in size or loud in volume depending on the context. Kaguya obviously misinterpreted what happened here.

For real, overall voice acting score for this whole series is a 10 for me. Iino, Hayasaka and the narrator's VA specially steal the show for me.
