In my humble opinion Jukai should let Hyakkimaru choose his own path, just as he did with his life. Keeping the leg from him was messed up considering all hes been through

I think hyakkimarus hand is green cause it's a prosthetic so its made of wood cause the trees were kinda green too

Do an UNCHARTED Reaction!!

I feel like Hyakkimaru only became a "demon" in his eyes as a product of his circumstances. Regardless of whether he has a fake leg or eventually gets the real one, evil will still exist, he deserves to have what was stolen from him (achieving that by fighting the demons) and deserves to at least have the accommodation (a prosthetic) I'd be mad at the world too and everyone who sides with saving his father's land.

BZD

I agree with your humble opinion.

Mr. K

Correct me if I'm wrong ya'll but did the ghoul not kill Jukai because it sensed Hyakkimaru's demonic scent on him?

Argo2Unitard

Just as Hyakkimaru is allowed to do what he wants, Jukai is also allowed to do what he wants.

BZD

Mothers are the ones who form the child’s body. That pretty much what he did.

DjinnBae

the video is not coming up for me. anyone else?

Kingmakaii

Him killing his family if justified if he do it they keep trying to clap this nigga tf he supposed to do sit there and die nah fuck out of here 😭

Please react to Kekkai Sensen after Dororo

Burning Talons

Nah, They go after life. Jukai was just dead inside so he didnt have anything to feed on

Quintin

I respect Jukai's decision. Taking a life, even when justified, takes a toll. Look how many soldiers come back fucked up even if they're fighting for the "right reason". Jukai thinks that the price Hyakkimaru has to pay to get his body back is too high. Sure he might get his body back but, what good does that for him if he's mentally fucked and worse off than he is now. Makes sense that he doesn't want to support that. Is it worth losing your mind to get your body back? Of course that's just how Jukai thinks it will go. We will have to see if it does.

day 7 saying that the trio react to kanata no astra

Redu

A parent's job is to protect their kid (which I know everyone knows), that's all he was doing. Protecting his soul and mind. He felt if he gave him the leg he would be essentially be helping to push him further into hell/not being human inside

EmoBurrito

I mean I get siding with the main character and all, especially since you know he doesn't owe them shit, and like the story is about him. But like logically speaking him not getting his body is the lesser of the evils. With that being said Hyakkimaru gang!

Roshi the only one that noticed the Pussy Tree 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Drake Rage

This is literally the same issue with Eren from Attack on Titan. The Paradis Islanders deserve their Rights, like Right of Freedom and the Right to Life. The world just wants them all dead just for their peace of mind and politics. Hyakkimaru deserves to fight for his Basic Rights, even if it is not convenient for others.

Zeklo

Jukai is pretty reasonable. He recognizes Hyakkimaru's 'right' to killing his family and essentially getting an entire land's worth of people killed. That isn't his hold up exactly. His hold up is with the mental rammifications of that. Hyakkimaru is very mentally immature due to the circumstances of his life. The guilt and regret of that may only dawn on him much later. Jukai doesn't want his son to end up like him. No will to live as a result of incredible amounts of sins, regret, and guilt.

Drake Rage

The only issue is that he should let Hyakkimaru decide, and then respect that decision as a "parent." It was not right that Jukai knew Hyakkimaru was going to fight, but still let him go without a Leg.

Drake Rage

Yeah, but Hyakkimaru has already decided to fight. He is going to fight with or without the Leg, so Jukai is just making it harder for Hyakkimaru and could even get him killed without a proper Leg.

Quintin

Jukai did let Hyakkimaru decide. He gave his opinion but did not stop him from leaving. Hyakkimaru was free to go and he did. Also, Hyakkimaru fighting either way does not mean that Jukai must abandon his views and aid him by giving him a leg. Jukai isn't obligated to make a leg and Hyakkimaru isn't owed a leg. Jukai, as a parent, would want to help his child in what's good for him. Not in what's bad for him.

Jawdane

I think he called him Mama because he mirrored the first words he heard from his actual mother "I cannot save you", or maybe he knows 'Mama' to be someone who cares for him, as he'd have no scientific basis of how the father/mother system works and how it relates to gender. The only time he has heard the term 'Mama' is from Dororo's tales of his compassionate parent.

Drake Rage

What I meant by letting Hyakkimaru decide is that Jukai should have let Hyakkimaru decide what he wants to do, and then support that decision, as a parent (aka giving him a Leg). You would expect a parent to help his kid... like a Leg is not a big deal, it is not like we are asking Jukai to give Hyakkimaru a Gun to go kill his "bullies"... its just a Leg so just give it to him, lol. What if Hyakkimaru died because of the Leg? Jukai would rather stick by his "views" and risk Hyakkimaru's life than give him a Leg?

Quintin

A parent absolutely does not have to support their child in every decision. If my child wanted to blow their college fund to move to LA and pursue acting with 0 experience, I don't have to enable them by buying the plane ticket. But I will support them if they fail and try to get back on track. I think that's the key point. Supporting your child is different from enabling them to do something bad. Perhaps Jukai doesn't want Hyakkimaru to become a better killer with a prosthetic. Maybe he hopes that he will give up without a prosthetic. I agree that Hyakkimaru would be "safer" in a fight with a prosthetic. However, if the prosthetic makes him more likely to pursue violence, does that really make him safer?

Drake Rage

Yeah, I understand Jukai's perspective and it is valid, but it is too BIG of a risk to hope the prosthetic is enough of a hindrance to make Hyakkimaru give up, but NOT big enough of a hindrance that he actually ends up dying while fighting. The risk is just not worth it. (aka the risk is too big for a parent to take, jeopardizing their kid's life)

Dragonfist

You should react to Kingdom it is the best anime right now. It's in season 4 so a lot of episodes to watch.

Devin B

@Drake Rage If Jukai gave him the prosthetic then that means that he's supporting Hyakkimaru's choice which he doesn't. Parents can only do so much for their kids but if the kid wants to do something that can mess them up in the future the parents aren't obligated to support that choice.

Drake Rage

Refusing the Leg based on principle vs Risking Death of Son. That is all I am saying. The risk just does not seem to be worth it. Just give him the Leg, as a parent, lol. It would be understandable if Jukai was choosing Daigo's Land and its Lives over Hyakkimaru, but Jukai really cares about Hyakkimaru and does not want him to become a Demon himself. Refusing the Leg based on principle/views over the possibility of Hyakkimaru killing more people just doesn't seem right. Like it **almost** feels okay, but then you realize that its just a fricken Leg, don't make your Son limp on out to fight Demons with crutches in hand, LMAO.

Quintin

I'm just saying: If Hyakkimaru flees because he realizes he can't fight without the leg, giving him the leg and enabling him to fight will put him in more danger. Maybe fleeing Daigo's land and living with Dororo is the play. But I see where you're coming from. If Hyakkimaru will never ever give up fighting then he's better off with the leg because his odds of surviving are better.

Emiliano Ruiz Chong

Honestly yeah. Very good series and will get even better further in season 4. But it has a lot of episodes and the first 2 seasons are with old 3d model animation. It can be a hassle to watch, but the plot and story overall is magnificent. I do recommend it a lot.

Drake Rage

Yeah, I just felt like Hyakkimaru had planned to fight no matter what. I understand your point though, that Jukai has faith that the Leg could somehow make him stop fighting.

Kermit

It sucks that everyone around Hyakkimaru expects him to forget about getting his body back because no one in the land bothered about learning to use fertiliser yet. Also, 20:00 : Lupa with the nip slip on another dororo episode, lol.
