Jean-Marc Mwandulo

Sakuta and Mai's relationship is so mature for typical anime couples I love their dynamic

Lola
>>83397437

You get used to it and it's just makes the rewatch more fun because you discover jokes you didn't get the first time

Erik De La Cruz

Are yall going to watch the movie after you finish the series?

Maxine
>>83397437

I def had to adjust to Saiki K's sub speed lol, but the dub is also pretty solid

Lola
>>83397437

The Japanese voice actors make it so much more funny for me so I prefer the sub

Shiroja

Dam they hit my birthday with a typhoon in the show

jayden

are you guys gonna react to the move too?

Matthew Nieves

I feel like it's more about confronting their feelings to kinda gain some sort of closure and put them at ease, rather than bottling up those feelings. Still pretty wild to confess to someone who has a girl already, but I don’t think the intention was to make something work out between them it's more like accepting that it can't work out

Taylor Moon

Didn't you know, Japanese Rain hits different

Anas Ghadfi

I dont think its about Futaba going to get her man, I think its healthier for the friendship to be able to either stop or move forward if both parties are honest. If she tells him about it (which she does at the end of this episode) without expecting anything in return, they can hash it out and move forward from there. Kunimi made his own decision to prioritise his friendship with Futaba over his relationship problems so it's not her or Azusagawa's fault entirely.

Anas Ghadfi

Futaba's issues stem from her fear of being alone as well as her self-hate. The loneliness was resolved from realising that her friends will always be there for her. Uploading pics was just a cheap way to fill that loneliness (equating it to attention) it wasn't necessarily sexual attention she was looking for but any is better than none. The self-hate/shame issue was resolved from her admitting to herself that its okay to want things for herself and put herself first (asking to go to the fireworks).

It's pretty tough confronting or sealing away those feelings. I feel like seeking closure is definitely what they were going for than just "fuck his girl, go for it."

David gonzalez

Damn that roshigan wrong again....down bad😂😂😂😂

JsnSkg

E7 I said Sakuta was a top tier friend.... scratch that, he's a god-tier friend.

Friendly Elites

I think the futaba arc has to be my favorite in this series, its shorter than most of the others but it uses it to get straight to the point theres no fluff in getting what needs to be done. It tackles this specific situation so eloquently and maturely. Sakuta and Kunimi are the real ones here.

JsnSkg

The dude FAINTED out of nowhere. Why is the hospital so unusual? Man, I really can't understand your interpretation of a lot of things in this episode lmao.

John Spartan

I get Sheera's opinion. But that just who Kunimi's is, a real one that cares for his friends even if it puts him on a bad spot with his girlfriend for a while.

ironic legacy
>>83404108

At least in America, going to the hospital is a big deal financially so going to one for no reason would be like hey why’d you bring me here I’m fine

Javier

You guys always say it's inappropriate or wrong but for one person to hold the feelings sucks and they're good friends so when she confessed she understood he wouldn't reciprocate and he understood she needed to let out her feelings and move on so it doesn't end up being weird for them and it's not like they had anything going on behind his girlfriends back, it was a mutual understanding as friends that let both move forward in a good way

Sum1s0mewhere

HOElsome indeed and I was gonna comment on this stuff about her confessing or something like that. But I see a lot of people have done it already . Just know things work out different in other countries and it depends on the situation as well but I get everybody's point of view

Liudmila Duk

day 9 saying that the trio react to kanata no astra

HeMustBeKawaii

Day two of requesting that y'all watch Re:Creators, It's fire. Also you guys missed the end credit scene, I'm surprised no one else mentioned it.

Ronim Anwar
>>83411401

Re:creators is underrated for sure. but i doubt itll win a poll unfortunately. we can hope tho

Vayne

Trio should check out "Executioner and her way of life" isekai with 6 episodes out right now and honestly its a banger so far. probs the best isekai of the season tbh

MochanAmazing
>>83411401

Re:Creators is something that I dropped while it was airingm but would watch it when they react to it

StolenChakra

I feel its better to make the situation uncomfortable and be honest and get the situation resolved vs develop a mental illness (adolescent syndrome) and wanting to off yourself in a typhoon for your otherself. Just get through the awkwardness and move on with your life. I feel its like if you have a problem with your manager at work but keep it in a not say anything because you need a job and just endure the stress, or you can say something, risk the managers feels, and something can potentially change vs staying the same problem that is becoming toxic

IzanagiAce

Kunimi should break up with his girl and it's not just because Futaba likes him. She's been problematic and toxic as shit since episode 1, telling Azusagawa to stop interacting with him due to the hospitilization rumors. I could understand if it was just about Futaba and her not liking a girl being so close to her boyfriend but even then she goes to Azusagawa and tries to order him to tell Futaba off. She's trying to become the only person in Kunimi's life, separating him from his friends.

Kami_Psy

I get where Sheera coming from but I think it's really just to let your feelings out and sometimes that can make it awkward or bring you even closer as friends. In this case, I feel like it was making their friendship awkward when she didn't tell him because she was always nervous and acting differently around him. Random comparison but, It's like if you met someone you knew from high school and they say "you know I used to have a crush on you back in school right". They know that you're with someone and they know it's too late and doesn't expect you to be with them or anything at all, they just want to let it be known because they regretted never telling you.

artisticSarcasm

I feel like as people here and considering the friendship in general/Futaba's general consensus not to act on the feelings and moreso just trying to figure out how to deal with them, it was good that they ended up watching fireworks together and they were able to express honest feelings and accept them and move on. Futaba seemed to really need help from her friends in terms of support in moving through it healthily (considering what almost happened (her essentially killing a part of herself)), and thankfully both were in good form to respond, but of course a very nuanced situation.

Son Gokhan

Roshi the whole confess situation is more like confess get shot down move on because in the back of their mind tgeir always thinking i might have a chance but getting told no allows them to move on

Aziouss

Nah if you don't say anything you will regret it. She handled the situation perfectly She said what she had to say and told him to go make up with his girl. The flipside to that is she does not tell him and it will still be awkward between them only this time the wont move on from the things she has bottled up. The futuba arc is my fav btw.

Jaime Ruiz

Hey what's that taking a peak? Oh is that uhh.. Peaky Blinder

Bailey Jerr Lim

Im expecting you to watch the movie after the show also

JadonTheEternal

I'm sure tons of people have told you guys, but you absolutely HAVE to watch the movie. It wraps up the story well and is a really fantastic watch.

Daylight95

ROOOSSSSSHHHHHIIIIII!!!!!!! Season 2 trailer 2 for MADE IN ABYSS SEASON 2 dropped a few days ago.!!!!! Drop date of JULY 2022. LETS FUCKIN GO !!!!!!

Ross Adams
>>83406925

Not to mention, keeping the feelings bottled up hoping they'll go away doesn't help. Did they forget how Koga started another time loop due to that reason like two episodes ago. And that only got resolved when Koga came clean to Sakuta about it. These unresolved issues are the reason Puberty Syndrome even happen in the first place.

Tom Hoffman
>>83425708

Right? Like bro his girlfriend is so rude. That is my homeboy I’m not gonna stop being friends with him or Futaba just cause you’re insecure about rumors that are going around.

Lloyd Edwards

Nah Kumini's GF is a fucking annoying bitch... she's been talkin shit to Sakuta from episode 1. she's the worst part of this show

The Endless

Yeah guys different cultures have different way of handling emotions/relationships. Whenever you see these episodes about characters being pushed to tell other ppl in relationships they like them it’s more about that person gaining closure so they can healthily deal with those emotions and move past them instead of doing things the American way and bottling everything up and dealing with it in negative outputs that rarely have positive outcomes.

Theralyst

Kunimi's GF isn't mad at him cuz of his friends getting him involved in their shit. She hates Sakuta because she thinks that his reputation will bring down Kunimi's social status if they keep hanging out together, and she hates Futaba because Futaba likes Kunimi. They fight because Kunimi won't drop them as friends. Girl's just a bitch lol

azerangga

futaba remind me of hanekawa from monogatari series

Daniel Borrego

roshi, dont you get it. in anime , if a character touches water, they instantly become sick. well he was biking through the rain so going to the hospital was the obvious result. i think eating all the rice has made japanese peoples skin too weak.

Adiuva
>>83404108

I don't think it was the hospital itself, rather the rain hospitalized him which seems to be a common slice of life trope.

Christian Isaac Alvarado

at this point i dont know whos more obsessed with onezies, Roshi or Kaede 😂

Joel Ramirez

ima point this out at 2;43 either roshi or sheera farted lmao
