please watch oregairu, I've seen tons of reactors doesn't understand anything about that show and often make weird assumptions about the MC, but I am confident Roshi and Sheera would be able to understand it

For anyone curious, the basics of Hanafuda/Koikoi are this: -It's very similar to Go Fish or Poker, where the object is to collect certain hands (except there's also a common area where you can take cards by matching suits) -The trick to the cards is that instead of Hearts/Diamonds/Spades, each card has a specific type of flower on the artwork that determines the suit. Like the four cards that have maple leaves in the background are part of a set you can match. -Each suit has 4 cards: 2 common cards that mainly only exist for matching and two special cards. The special cards will also have something else in the art, like a ribbon or animal. So you can also get points by collecting those themes. (although a couple of the artworks are REALLY fucking obtuse, like the sake bowl counting as an animal) -There are also a couple of special hands that you just need to memorize, like Boar-Deer-Butterfly giving you a decent amount of points (Ino-Shika-Cho from Naruto are named after this hand) -The bright cards are basically a royal flush/Exodia. You get a stupid amount of points if you collect all five (but one of the five is a special card called the Rain Man that can sometimes fuck your hands if you take it without having all four other pieces). The general rule is that these five cards can be identified by having a lot of red on them, but you really just have to memorize which five they are. -Once you get a certain number of points, you win the round (what was it? like 10 points?). If you're playing under Koikoi rules, you can basically declare double or nothing and keep the game going. Obviously this lets you collect more points (there's a total score tallied after each round), but if your opponent wins after you declare koikoi, your score just gets super fucked. -There are also a couple other special cards (I know the sake bowl does something weird), but I don't remember the specifics. -I THINK there's also a penalty at the end of the round for having cards in your hand that aren't part of any set. That's the gist of it, from what I remember from the Fate/Hollow Ataraxia minigame. I spent way too much time playing that.

i think they mentioned one time that the reason why it takes long for them to post komi is bcos of sub issues. like they wanna wait for the best subs to come out since the fansubs are better for komi iirc
