Vanitas's "little brother", number 71, refers to the vampire of the blue moon as father after they rescued vanitas and number 71 from moreau's lab just fyi👍

I feel like this show is not as popular as it should be because of people's (wrong) first impression of it, probably due to the character designs, and the fact that the two main characters are good looking men. And I say this because, when it came out, a lot people said stupid stuff like "not watching because this looks gay", etc., which is ironic, given the huge amount of chemistry between the boys and Jeanne and Dominique. It's unfortunate, because it actually has a great story, and I'd say it's a pretty good adaptation of the manga as well. I'm glad you guys decided to give it a chance!

I's say it's an okay adaptation, but definitely not a good one. Bones ended up cutting a lot of important things out from the manga so they could end it where they wanted without having any loose ends to explain away

its a pretty mediocre adaptation tbh lol also the art style is pretty shojo since its done by a women who takes inspiration from Hiromu Arakawa so you can't blame people for not giving it a chance based on aesthetic alone i mean they did the same thing with pandora hearts and some people won't watch D grayman for the same reason. Who really cares you seem like the weirdo type who gets upset when people don't like what you like instead of just enjoying shit yourself.

Are you saying I'm a weirdo type because I said that, in this day and age, someone saying that they don't want to watch something because "it looks gay" is a stupid reason? I don't get upset when people don't like what I like, I simply said that I find it silly to judge something based on appearances. That's all.

So I got three things: 1. When you see 71 talking to Vanitas in his psyche, he's not talking about Moreau. More info on this is revealed later on. 2. You're spot on with one of your guesses, but it's never *directly* revealed in the anime. 3. The anime and the manga don't deviate that much at all. Everything is pretty much the same even down to the dialogue. They didn't skip a beat until you get to the end of season 2, which was probably intentional seeing as the show caught up to the manga and they didn't want a huge cliffhanger.

the show does adapt the manga really good with some changes and how they do some character reveals as well as past scenes. Its just one of those shows that is good in manga and anime just its only popular for its run. It has a lot of people that watched it and a lot of good ratings but it was just one of those things that only got talked about while it was airing and people prob wont think about it again until a further season comes out or someone else talks about it. Another sad note is that the newest season of slime came out and that was the only show really looked at for the summer of 2021, same thing with spyxfamily this season. People only really say that spyxfamily is the only good show this season when there are plenty of others that deserves some good praise as well.

Roshi, nobody talks about Vanitas outside it's own fandom cuz its underrated asf. It's a great adaptation from the manga thats further enhanced in the anime due to the soundtrack and voice acting

I loved Beyond the Boundary a lot, but think Noragami would be better for reaction. BTB has a soft spot in my heart tho

I like how Noe is genuinely concerned about Vanitas cause as he spends time with him and learns more about him he's able to figure out Vanitas' motives more clearly and what it is he's truly after. I keep forgetting this is Noe's case study on Vanitas.

People sleep on this anime because it's a vampire anime and they tend to get complicated. Shiki, emotionally complicated. Serph of the end got Shadow Hunters levels of complicated. Vampire knight got all kinds of Twilight weird and so on. Put a vamp in an anime and things tend to get a little pretentious. This one is going strong so far. P.s. I like the new intro. P.s.p.s. 71isn't calling Monroe father. Just wanted to get in on this clapping😂😂

THIS!!! Dance Dance totally surprised me! I decided to give it a chance because I love ballet, and because I saw that it was made by Mappa, and it's become one of my faves this season. Unfortunately, I think a lot of people won't watch it precisely because it's about ballet. It's a shame.

Vanitas has some INCREDIBLE restraint. Holy shit. Not even his facial expression falters. He has to be absolutely SEETHING inside. Not only that, he's very articulate. Really has a way with words, and phrasing stuff just right to avoid suspicion.

I started watching it cuz it was made by BONES. That's really all I needed. Well, and the aesthetic looked cool. Then I came to find out the music is by Yuki Kajiura (Fate/Zero, F/Sn Heaven's Feel, SAO, Fena: Pirate Princess). That in addition to the voice acting and interesting characters, and cool vampire shit, kept me glued to it.

Dance dance this season is easily one of my favorites, you have a show like that which is underrated because the sport that it is about. But that is how the anime community goes. things get overlooked or things are talked about for a single season and no one decides to mention them again

I'm 99% certain that the subtitles we see on screen aren't the same subtitles they use for some reason. So it might have been subbed differently. Happens all the time in other shows.

they usually watch from crunchyroll but neither subs refer Moreau as father. Also if you actually listen to what "number 71" says you can hear they word "oniichan" so the little brother assumption is not necessarily wrong. (given the lack of context)
