In the LN Naofumi tortures tf out of that guy. That shield is called the Nue shield, he got it way back in season 1 when they killed the Nue but because it was weak he never tried it out. The shriek it makes manifests ones worst fears. Naofumi uses it to make all the slaves that died from that guys mistreatment come back to haunt him. He hits him with multiple blasts of fear. Then when he tried to run away, Naofumi trapped both himself and the guy in a shield prison and kept hitting him with the fear until he was leaking (pee poop, tears and vomit) from all his holes and passed out. then Naofumi hit him with one last full power fear blast so that he would continue to suffer even in his dreams as he was passed out.

I haven’t seen anyone try and explain this recently so I want to give it a shot. There is a difference between vassal weapons and the Cardinal weapons. The most notable difference is the cardinal weapons are generally stronger. Another thing to note is for every one cardinal weapon there are two vassal weapons per world. For example glass is the fan vassal weapon welder not the fan hero. They should explain this more soon I just wanted to get a little information to you guys if possible. Love your reactions keep up the good work!

I'll never understand the point of them rushing through this much content to fit it in to a 12 episode season only to be caught up with the manga... So we're gonna have to wait years for the manga to get far enough ahead again. Unless they planning on just adapting the LN and going past the manga but if not they dumb for this... still kinda fucked up this season.

That makes sense why it seems like so much context or scenes are being skipped then I guess.

Hyped for the next episode, but it's crazy how fast it's moving

i mean theyve always adapted the LN. Even the first season have lots of cut scenes but everything was still adapted well for the most aprt. Big issue here is the execution of this arcs.

If you didn’t know it got green lit to have 3 seasons already. So season 3 will probably come next year but yeah it’s a terrible idea to try and pack this much content into just 12 episodes. It was a really terrible idea
