Are we getting house of the dragon today my lords

Scott Tyson

Hell yeah! Literally lol loving these reactions so glad the show is picking up with people.

zILovePelmeni _

sometimes i hate how weak omnipotent beings like dream are presented in Live Action series.

Kingmakaii

Lupa same that movie fucked everybody who watched it up lmao and I’m glad we on the same page Roshi I couldn’t be a god ion got time for humanity games bro 😭

Sera

The scissoring jokes 💀 I can't stand them

zILovePelmeni _

we still need that dr stone 1hr special btw lol

Junior

Never give Roshi god powers😂. But, no lie, I'm with Roshi on this one. Why is everyone acting like Dream is the homie from bacck in the day? Give me my f*%@ing sand, bro🙆🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️

James

Mad Hettie isn't a dream she's just an old woman who hid her heart from Death making her immortal. As for Constantine disrespecting Dream it's just their MO in the comics he threatens God himself.

Metweet .c

Doesn't every Constantine just not care about the opinion and lives of powerful beings like Dream? They deal with their egocentric personalites alot. All of these beings like dream are way to arrogant anyway and enjoy playing with the lives of humans so there's no point in being all subservient to a entity that sees you as a play thing

by chances

what? is this real? the fastest uploads 😊😊😊

WAFFLETITS

Marvel comics fans can relate, the mcu versions of characters are complete pushovers compared to the comic counterparts, Thor and Thanos are especially nerfed by comparison.

Jay

Can't wait for the fifth one..... Masterpiece

Shiroja

Humanity wonders why some gods do evil shit and want to destroy them. Also humanity: Hey let's fuck shit up for everyone and not give a dam.

aesopf

Bro I'm so glad y'all weren't fuckin with Constantine either. Her selfishness and ego were so unbearable it made me glad that the show didn't try to redeem her as it went on. She was a good character for one episode and we get to see how Dream came to view humans the way he does by his interaction with her and obviously others before her time.

aesopf

This next episode is truly when the show picked up for me

Maleny

The dream that Constantine has is interesting, because its a big plot point in the Hellblazer comics, and gets flashbacked to a lot. Astrid's death represents the single worst night of Constantine's life and it haunts them for a very long time. It's the first and worst example of what Johanna says later in the ep, about everything she loves dying horribly. Really depressingly, this means she left the woman with the sand to try and protect her from a terrible death, only for this to be the indirect cause of her terrible death. Constantine's life is a series of miseries, and that's why they're so comfortable yelling at a higher power. John or Johanna would spit in god's face if they got close enough.

Bree

Not gonna lie Constantine pissed me off in the beginning of the episode, like? If that was her trying to get information and someone got in the middle of it, you bet she would throw hands.

Champion Bescos

As someone who’s only read some of the Hellblazer comics from Alan Moore and seen the poor adaptation (but amazingly fun film) from the 2000’s starring Keanu Reeves.. is there a reason there’s a Johanna Constantine?

PandaLeHey

IP conflict with a developing property. Gaiman decided to use Johanna Constantine as an alternative since she’s already exists in sandman comics

James

Pretty much. Every Constantine is incredibly arrogant but also has the smarts to back it up

James

That's the difference. Constantine would sacrifice everything for the win and Dream wouldn't

Mozart Waddell

As soon as Matthew mentioned cutting the sand with real sand I immediately thought of Roshi

Bree

Ngl James you said diffraction at first and I was like "what? what does that mean in this sentence? Am I dumb?" but now I see

Lamaree Jackson

Damn Lupa went on a tangent during the Matrix reaction about wanting Keanu to come back as Constantine, but this is the second episode with her—her whole profession as an exorcist being talked about—and nothing. Does he only like the movie or something? Is her being Joanna instead of John slipping him up?

slipHAZARD

John Dee is probably my favorite character in the series

KeYo

they made Constantine so selfish. you bought this sand and then left it with your ex who you left with no goodbye and then the only reason you came back was to get the sand back and then you blame him for the sand messing her up. humans lol......also am i the only one who was weird out by the fact that her ex looked like the little girl?....like just me?

David

hahaha Lupa be fr that demon look like you AND Roshi did the fusion dance real quick

Quelz

Ur telling me a nigh omnipotent being like Death really couldnt find this old hag’s heart? Lol

James

There's actually a good comic about it Death: The High Cost of Living

Lola

That bird is about to be my favorite character

Alex cleveland

Why is every single human in this show trash asf lol. They ironically make the humans look like more of the antagonist than actual nightmare himself, and thats a pretty cool twist ngl

Sauce Sorcerer

After this episode, the rest of the show was great. I enjoyed the first 3 episodes, but the rest of the show was just on a different level imo

Mozart Waddell

How many more years until Roshi enter into the public domain? FIRST thing I'm doing is making a God Roshi film, a sequel, next a spinoff, and then a prequel Silence of the Yams 🍠

Jarren Jenkins

When was Constantine ever a 'good' person? They are more like the Punisher or Batman. It also depends on the version of Constatine this one is supposed to be. She's human and humans are selfish. Just think of Keanu's Constantine he was a total asshole to people but was blessed by God (his Guardian Angel power).

Jarren Jenkins

Every Constantine is an asshole in some way, but genuinely want to be a humanitarian and do good things. Constantine is also attuned to the supernatural so they deal with Gods and Demons and all their immortal bull on the daily so I would be the same way. Like, piss off, you're a God lol

Ichigoat

Lets hope Roshi never becomes a god. Homie gonna destroy humanity over a game of 2k lol

Erik Miller

The Endless aren’t omniscient, which means they know everything. They are pretty close to being omnipotent, which is being overly powerful, enough to do just about anything.

Sun

Did he become Glassman yet?

rickie woodson

im hyped for tomorrow. thats the ep i've waiting for. no game no life kinda battle

jokerzhat

i liked the comic version of this episode more. it felt a bit more comical despite the same dark story.

AdventHorizons

That poor girl damn could’ve atleast brought a Big Mac lmao

Yanpo

Squaring up with a Constantine is one of the biggest gambles any entity in the multiverse could be taking. You might get lucky enough that you're dealing with Constantine at a moment when they are little more than a half drunk wizard with a sharp tongue, or you might be unlucky enough to be dealing with a Constantine that has a literal IOU note from Lucifer, and now you have to deal with the second most powerful being in the Multiverse. You never know, and it's often best not to fuck around, and find out.

Jarren Jenkins

That is Constatine, I believe, just a gender-switched version. Constatine is a bit of an asshole, arrogant because he/she is so damn smart in the comics. Plus he's super strong magically even though he's just a human. That's why she comes off as a bitch, because she is. Constatine generally wants to do good though, just has a round-about way of doing it. Imagine Keanu's Constatine in this show, it would be the same person lmao.

CT

Constantine isn’t a naturally powerful magician. They rely on a obtaining magical artifacts and swindling powerful beings. Almost every day of the week they probably have some irate mystical being appearing before them, demanding the return of their Magical Devine Special Thingy (or ELSE!)

DjinnBae

constantine attitude although accurate is unbearable

Ghoullie

im sure no ones gonna read this long ass essay im about to write lol but, on the topic of like "humans who wont help even though humanity is at stake" -- the thing is, both Constantine AND Dream are assholes in their perspectives. Constantine is selfish and apathetic towards something that is important for the whole of humanity. Morpheus says "we need to save humanity" but he actually cares very little about people. He is the godlike version of some detached political figure who can only understand people as numbers in a statistic. And you can already see this perspective of his in this episode -- Constantine is less a person a more a pawn in his quest. He turns his back on someone suffering with no compassion because Rachel is just an unimportant pit stop on his journey. Morpheus represents an ideal of the macro -- sacrifice the necessary minority for the survival of the majority -- and Constantine represents an ideal of the micro -- ensuring the survival of the whole means little if the ones left exist only in misery.

baja

Constantine is just an asshole you find in the wild. But he is powerful. He is always dealing and wealing with the devil and heaven. Every world ending event he is always in there because why the fck not

Somuch Bttrdenu

Roshi caught the Crowley connection, which means he saw Good Omens another Neil Gaiman work, just thought that was awesome

Arknightoni

Juuuuust you man lol I don't go into shows thinking about that sort of thing

Antonio

To be fair, most mythologies have petty ass gods. He'd fit right in

delete

WELCOME TO HECK - Shout out to Lupa and his family.

Quelz

I understand. Its just hilarious to me someone of Death's stature was seriously unable to kill someone cuz they hid their heart. I feel like if Death really wanted to, she still could kill the witch regardless but probably just let her live cuz it was funny to her

Charlie baker

Uh aleister crowley was a notable real life occultist, roshi isn't making a gaiman connection hes making a real world connection

TheDroppedFry

They need to stop gender-swapping established characters. It’s fucking annoying.

Somuch Bttrdenu

Neil wrote Sandman and Co wrote Good Omens with Sir Terry Pratchett. In Good Omens, Demon Crowley was worried he was going to get in trouble because he negotiated a trade between a human and demon about a helm. I like to think Roshi just so happened to see Good Omens and make that connection over him just so happening to research occultists from the 1800s for some reason and then remembering him for a reference that has nothing to do with him.

Don Keedick

It would have been great to seem Dream interact with John Constatine. Also, 9:18 is me after Taco Bell.

Jazmyne Mattucci

Yall really made me remember Repo Men and im so upset.

Brianna Jenkins

I’m with Roshi on this one. Constantine left shorty hanging in the most crappy way possible. Lupa funny asf about Repo Men 😂

Joshua Rabon

Either is possible, but Aleister Crowley is not some unknown obscure figure like you make him out to be. He exists in the zeitgeist; if they have ever interacted with conservative Christianity have almost certainly heard of him from there as well.
