you guys have to realize at this point David is a 17-year-old boy. He's still in high school. Imagine what a high school kid would do when presented with those situations where he has to decide what to do with Tanaka and the problem with the Police with Dorio and Maine also added the fact that Maine was his parental figure after his mom died. Id say the show did a great job showing the mind of a high school kid when they get involved in this kind of situation and the fact that David is new in the Cyberpunk life. About Lucy not telling David what was happening and keeping things in secret will be explained in future episodes until episode 9.

Cyberpsychosis affects people differently. Sometimes you replace too much of your body with chrome and it forces your nervous system into overdrive; causing it. The other way is extremely corrupt hardware or software you take in leading to cyberpsychosis sometimes in an instant. Most cases you see with this is the victim acting upon their greatest fears, anxieties, or emotional traumas. At worst you break to the point you are no different than an animal like the one that killed Pilar. Yeah, cyberpsychosis is no joke.

Anyone giving David shit really needs to cut this literal kid some slack. He's still a baby in this gang life and has never been in situations like this ever. He cannot get it together when shit goes wrong and he will do the wrong thing most of the time. All he can do is fuck up and learn and hope he and the people he loves make it. Luck is pretty much how dummies like David get by and learn in this life. Everyone is a dummy at the early stages of crime life.

I think a few weeks/ months have passed since Lucy and David are now living together and David is just part of the team instead of being treated as the rookie who can't do shit. Plus in the last episode to now, Lucy and Maine seem pretty against each other whereas before she was generally okay with all of them. I think a few months were skipped and tensions started to rise in the group as Maine slowly got closer and closer to the edge.

He was just a normal highschool boy right before Gloria died tho. Yeah he pushed some xbds for the ripperdoc to make some money, but that's the most unnormal thing he had done. The time he joined Maine's crew and episode 6 wasn't that long. That plus that the crew especially Maine keep saying he think like a rookie all the time pretty much showed that he's just a kid. A special kid that can tolerate cyberware better than the others but still a kid. At least that's how I see it.

I dont think david was in shock just because things are going crazy, he had to choose whether to stay to help Maine which is his parental figure or flee. He choosed to stay because that is basically his nature. Lucy said he will burn himself trying to help others. Roshii and the gang keep saying David should have just ran and ditch them and that is why I said, he was a 17 year old boy that had to make a difficult choice. But agree to disagree I guess. You can choose to interpret the episode how you want it to be.

i wouldn't say there was tension between Lucy and Maine until he began to show more signs of cyberpsychosis ( it was reasonable for her not to want to be near the same room as him when he punched Kiwi's mask-plate off ), Lucy's just sort of sassy and provocative at times.

ok maine shooting dorio looked possible until the bullet came through her head and that's why roshio was like oh nah its trauma team shooting her she's just taking the bullets for him and waiting for the elevator is hard to catch because the only thing indicating that's what he's waiting for is the buttons on the side of the door but every door in cyberpunk has buttons on or around it
