So, if we're going the dramatic conflict route, then I'm wondering if Mob will wake up in the hospital with a different personality. Just a completely different person. Hit by a car, head injury, wake up with amnesia or as a different person. I can see this happening. With Mob it can be dangerous, given the "beast within."

Fun fact, One Punch Man is a manga series in Mob Psycho 100's universe. It's more played up in the actual manga, including a gag during the world-domination-arc where Suzuki puts a pause on the meeting due to One Punch Man's anime announcement. That aside, I've been awaiting this part of the arc with baited breath~! From Mob awkwardly trying to get himself mentally prepared to ask Tsubomi out before she moves, to all the support from his friend group... It's a very sweet build up for what's to come.

The kid does have to focus to some extent. When the kid was about to be hit I think it showed his judgement was not as fast as his heart. He made such a big call to put his life on the line protecting another without thinking of how he could best do it.
