So what y'all took as salty with Morticia tearing the rose off the stem wasn't salty at all. That's just what Morticia does with roses, she cuts off the flower and keeps the stems with the thorns. She did it in the 90's movies too.

I've always loved The Addams Family and am really enjoying this show but my only problem is the super unnecessary romance (all of it not just for Wednesday) it comes off like "UGH I guess we need some romance" so it feels forced.

Why are all the Parents trash in this show like let your child be themselves except for Gomez that man is cool. Also her mother and father remind me of Superboy and Megan those two couldn't keep their hands off of each other.

Gomez is top-tier one of the best fathers and husbands of all fiction. He does nothing but give love to everyone.

If you'd like to know the reason why Morticia rips the heads off of roses 🌹, she's a gardner and spends her time in the greenhouse at home. She cuts the heads off of roses to make bouquets of the stems or puts the stems in vases. She likes wicked stuff and sees the positive side of things we see as dark, ugly, or creepy. She finds them beautiful. In the old black and white TV show, she did this all the time and it would be a funny running gag where visitors would come to their house and she would hand them a stem or they would just look at a vase of stems and be weirded out by it.

Yeah, she always did that with roses, though looking at her face when she did it and her body language, she was salty when she did it so I doubt she was doing that out of respect for him at the time. That looked like a big fuck you with how she tossed the pedals and threw them over her shoulder.

I gotta say, one character I'm really into is Weems. I love a character that will do ANYTHING to protect what they love and I believe her when she says she's protecting the school from controversy. I don't think she has anything to do with this monster killing people. All she's trying to do is make it so the town doesn't point fingers at any students. She'll cover it up to keep the school going, it's basically her life's mission. But that's her weakness too because all she's doing is reacting to what this monster is doing. I doubt she has any idea what/who it is and if it is. If it's a student, she must not know who because if she did, she woulda been done something about them because this monster is causing her problems. Also her petty jealousy against 'Tish is funny. Props to her actress too. I read that she was very happy to land this role because her acting career consists of her being type casted to play the tall, ugly undesirable females which sucks. So good on her for getting this role and working it. Really, good on all the actors. They do really good "face acting" in this show if you pay attention.

N'ah, I know 'Tish has a running gag with that rose thing, but look at how she did it. The other time she's done it was as a hobby. Her at this guy's grave, her body language, the way she tossed the rose petals and walked off, the look on her face. That looked like a big "fuck you." Remember, the old sitcom and the 90s Addams movies were comedy. Wednesday has a serious tone so they probably did that rose scene as a nod and made it serious for the drama plot.

Well my point isn’t much about the character it’s about the look and in my opinion she is easily taking that 100% Idk much about the Addams family but from all her scenes she maintains beauty and elegance even while wearing full black I think that’s nice

You could absolutely be right. I interpreted it as an honest gesture because of the story she told Wednesday. Yeah he was basically stalking her, he and gomez were fighting, and in the moment she was scared and raised the sword but she didn't mean to kill the guy and regretted that things played out that way. She called it a terrible accident. So I saw that more as a "I'm sorry that things happened this way." Like I said, I could be totally wrong as your interpretation makes just as much sense, those are just the vibes I got.

can anyone read that scribble on the report at the end that the mayor is reading? i feel that its important but they couldnt just print it so everyone would be able to read it........sigh. hollyweird and their love of cursive. comics do this do and i dont know why
