Hi Dr susie , do you do therapy sessions with the wand at your clinic to patients who are newbie ?

Danny Hendrie

You mentioned, early in the video, about inserting the wand, that there's a natural tendency to tense up... the "turtle effect" or whatever you called it. Is it normal, during internal assessments, when she's applying and holding pressure against muscles to, tense up or squeeze as if I'm trying to push her finger back out? It happens a couple of times, every time she's doing internal work. I just say "Sorry" and she replies, "It's OK"... and continues. Is simple breathing in and out, and maybe that toe trick you mentioned, something that can help avoid doing that squeeze?

Dr. Susie Gronski - Doctor of Physical Therapy

This sounds like an unconscious bodily reflex— does it bother you in some way or change your treatment? If not, I would not put too much effort or thought in trying to avoid a natural reflex that sometimes occurs during treatment. If it's a reflexive push because of discomfort/pain, I would suggest asking your therapist to change their pressure so it reduces the muscle guarding and push.

Danny Hendrie

It's not due to pain. There is definitely some sensitivity when she presses on certain areas, but that's not what causes the reflex. It's usually when she's rotating her finger to a new area. Just a totally involuntary squeeze like I'm trying to push it out or... at the risk of being gross... like I'm trying to "pinch" off the poop during a bowel movement... but like I said, I'm not "trying" to do it. It just happens. 🫤

That is great 👍, but at least for the first time where newbies don't know how to use it safely and correctly , you do more effort with them

Danny Hendrie

I'll give it a try. Thanks! I do appreciate you!

May I ask please , if you could do us a tutorial and / or live demo on how to make enema step by step .. different solution components .. different positions ... etc

Thanks Doc., just what I needed to know. Like the suspenseful tease at the end, Dun..Dunn...Dunnn!

I have the Crescendo- it’s a great tool and my current favorite for both external and internal use. I like the fact that it maintains whatever shape you bend it in.

Steve J

Agreed. Its width can indeed be intimidating. I find that inserting it sideways and then slowly rotating it can help with the size issue. You certainly need to be relaxed to use it internally. Probably best for someone that isn’t experiencing anal pain and has some experience with anal play.
