In this educational demo, I’m using a synthetic penis model to walk through gentle penile mobilization manual therapy and stretching techniques used in pelvic rehabilitation for men dealing with penile scarring, fibrosis, tension, or pain.

This isn't about aggressive stretching or “fixes.” It’s about gradually reducing tissue sensitivity, improving mobility, comfort, and how penile rehabilitation approaches may help support function over time.

These techniques may not be appropriate for everyone, especially in cases of active injury, significant curvature progression, severe pain, or underlying medical conditions. Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before attempting manual therapy or stretching techniques on yourself.

Will these techniques be effective in preventing or reversing penile shrinkage from age. I see the tags for penile shortening. Thanks in advance.

Dr. Susie Gronski - Doctor of Physical Therapy

The technique will not prevent penile shrinkage but it may help to improve penile tissue mobility, flexibility and circulation to the penile tissues. A penis pump will better address regaining penile length related to loss from scarring, surgery, or deconditioning.

I can do these exercises myself, right? Is it better for the penis to be flaccid or erect? The synthetic model in the video is confusing me.

Dr. Susie Gronski - Doctor of Physical Therapy

I'm unable to determine whether or not this technique would be appropriate in your specific case. Please consult with your medical provider for individualized treatment and guidance. As for the synthetic model, it is demonstrated in a way that one could theoretically be able to perform on themselves.

Susie, would this type of manual therapy be beneficial for penises that utilize regular IC injections? Would it be a preventive measure to maintain tissue health at the injection sites or is it contraindicated?

Dr. Susie Gronski - Doctor of Physical Therapy

It may be beneficial. Unfortunately, I don’t have any literature or evidence to support those potential benefits, but in general, you can’t go wrong with keeping the tissue mobile and flexible. It’s not contraindicated with injection use. However, I’m unable to say whether it’s appropriate in your specific case. You’ll need to consult with your own provider for individualized guidance and advice.

Hello. Should this stretch be performed on the specific body part shown in the video, or should I perform it in that manner on whichever area feels tight?
