BTS_ARMY NOONA EVENTS & MEETUPS SEATTLE

Nah...he wasn't going into trap at 21:27, but this is where she started getting on my nerves! She was being impulsive when she snatched the crazy highness out of the cave and self centered during a war! Thankfully it all worked out for their good but that was some bs, because it only brought short term gains and not the long term ones the Marquis and strategist where planning for all the future and all the realm, using him as a prisoner. Her decision and others had a domino effect...both good and bad as y'all will see.

You're spitting facts here, she got lucky this time, she may not be next time. Also, you can't have the rest of the army thinking doing this is encouraged and rewarded. They may not have Changyu's skill or luck. On her side, I wonder if this kind of manipulation adds to like him being liar LOL

Her methods are reckless, bold, and lacking in finesse BUT not without brain (she has always been a street smart girl). Her way of dealing with things is very brute-force and straightforward without layers of elaborate planning, and that's precisely what caught the enemy off guard. They never expected Marquis Wu'an to respond with such an unconventional strategy.. Like Gongsun said, it hit the mark. Whether it's a short term or long term, a win is still a win. She secure the salt, meat, and other much-needed supplies, which genuinely benefited the army. It's also easy for us to judge her because we already know Xie Zheng and Gongsun has a larger plan in motion. She didn't have that information. From her perspective, she acted based on what she knew at the time. That said, it doesn't mean she was entirely in the right. She ABSOLUTELY 💯 crossed the line by disrupting the chain of command and taking an important hostage out from prison without Marquis Wu'an's authorization. Those actions deserved criticism. That's exactly why Marquis Wu'an had to punish her at the end of the episode. If he had simply overlooked it because she is his woman or the outcome happened to be favorable, it would have sent the wrong message to the rest of the army—that it's acceptable to ignore orders and break the chain of command as long as you achieve a good result. An army can't function that way. The punishment wasn't just about her; it was about maintaining discipline and ensuring everyone understood that military orders aren't optional. At the same time, this was also her first time in army. She wasn't a seasoned soldier who understood military protocol inside and out. She approached the situation with the instincts that had kept her alive before—solve the immediate problem first. She made a serious mistake, and she was held accountable for it. That's exactly how people learn. So yes, criticize her for violating military discipline. But I think she deserves a little grace too. She wasn't acting out of arrogance or malice.. She genuinely believed she was helping, based on the limited information she had. Her judgment was flawed, not her intentions. her action in next episode? that's entirely different thing and needed another long discourse loll She is the kind of person who act first and think later. is it bad? mehh, for me not really

I paused midway to reply a comment and Lee actually already said everything I just commented in their discussion.. loll xD I really like how you both understand every characters' reason and why they did something. It might be uncomfortable to watch like Lee said but it work out. Great reaction as always ;D

A.

Changyu defied military law, but in terms of their relationship the little performance Zheng put on the in the Marquis tent at the end is far worse. I agree with Lee that if he sentenced her to be beat it might have destroyed their relationship, but putting her in a position to watch him get beaten for what she did is also terrible. On his own orders, while he's lying about who he is!

Hyuna

Far worse?! Only if you want to take it as a love story but human lives are more important, the military law is there for a reason, she could have ended bad.

Hyuna

Love how you understand the situation, she was lucky and he was her backup but it could have ended so badly, if she wasn't his wife, he would have punished her harshly. Hope you guys moved on over the milk situation by now😂

Putonghua is what the language is called in their language just like China is called China in China. Mandarin isn't called Mandarin in China. I had to look it up i was so curious.

chaosdreamer

Yes, putonghua is what Mandarin is called in today's (Communist/Mainland) China (pu tong = regular and hua = speech) as the official dialect.
