just for the record...I said Armond was not easy on the eyes....basically i called him unattractive lol... I take back the comment...I saw the post interviews and the actor is just fine...lol...but he plays a character that I just don't like...and I see him as not suitable for Louie or Le Stat...I realize...hes actually just a great actor lol. and if i dont like someone, i will think less of their appearance...and the opposite can be true too...if i like someone, they are now prettier or handsomer...that being said...there are people who are just objectively hot..Period... lol...but anyways...i dont make a habit of watching Interviews...TIME..but this episode compelled me and I'm glad i did lol...now i can stop being mad at David...erm i mean Daniel lol( i wont call a woman uneasy on the eyes...cuz of my respect for women...but i think as a man...all other men are open season....)

i agree lol, cant stand Armond and it makes me look at him differently. was surprised when i saw him in interviews out of character (which i probably shouldn't have been suprised because i know he's just playing a character). great actor like almost all the cast here

It might be worth watching the after Dark episodes for the last few episodes. I think they might go into the detail a bit better than the interviews at the end of the episodes. Apparently that end scene was just badly portrayed and it's actually twilight not daylight and that's why he wasn't burning. Hopefully that's the case. Vampirism without one of its major drawback just turns them to weird superheroes.

I already had a crashout over the leaked episode so my feelings have faded by now. In short, I do feel like the season was a bit of a disappointment by the end. The scene at the long table would have been meaningful if Lestat's past and character had really been explored all season, but I think it fell short. The only depth they added to his character was to portray him as a victim, which doesn't feel true to the books or reflect the fascinating layered character he felt like in the first 2 seasons, even as his depiction shifted. It's odd to see a table full of people who hurt Lestat, or Lestat doesn't care about (other than Nicky) breaking him down in his own head, and still the most ire is reserved for Louis being a pimp back in 1910s. Does Lestat have a problem with pimps? He paid for sex in season 1 and murdered Miss Lily because Louis liked to talk to her. Louis gets reduced to that here, earlier in the season, and in his conversation with Armand. I'm going to get dogpiled for this if anyone reads this whole thing, but the treatment of Louis in the narrative does feel racialised. He gets racist abuse from the mouth of Claudia's spirit, he's labelled nothing but a pimp, he gets branded with Armand's initial, and he gets his head on a spike (like he described happening to runaway slaves in season 1)?? It's too much, we need to wind it back. The long torture scene was hard to watch even if the actors were doing great work with what they had. This is the second week in a row when someone who has good reason to have beef with Lestat decides to take it all out on Louis. And what did Louis do to Armand other than not be a perfect husband to the man who lied to and abused him? It also continues the trend of the season of making Armand an empty villain. They introduce pathos into the scene by introducing Armand's childhood abuse and linking it to Louis. Both of these themes could have been explored in a satisfying way but as a footnote to the gory torture, it doesn't land like it should. No real exploration of Armand's trauma and how it informs his character, just an apology, essentially at gunpoint. And I don't think Louis is perfect. Like I said, I appreciated that Louis faced himself and the ways he contributed to everything that happened in the first 2 seasons. We're getting nothing on that level of character depth this season. Lestat as Louis described him is one of my favourite characters! I think their chemistry is unreal! I did and do love this show and Istill have hope for Lestat to actually address himself or maybe be more interesting in part 2 of the Vampire Lestat in 2 years time.
