Gran is the real problem here lol, It's like a "school shooter" that wants to take everyone out that didn't do that person wrong and everyone else kids who are innocent suffer for it. i think leon and chloe were just transported to that world at different times(or at least arrived at different times). its not that he 'aged', hes just been there longer than she has and has aged naturally. maybe its time shenanigans or the time flows differently in the world they are from and slime world.

I think I bought Maribel's argument more than Granville even though Maribel was shown to be a cruel person in her previous life too. Her argument was that this guy Rimuru is immortal and he is saying he wants to coexist now but what if he changes his mind later. Humanity will be fucked. Granville just seems mentally unstable, man.

Anime Only; No Spoilers 19:00 There seems to be some timey-wimey bullshit at play. Ramiris said the spirit that fused with Chloe to save her back in the 'save the kids' arc was some kind of Great Spirit of Time, and we know that Veldora senses Luminus's Hero who sealed him from Chloe when they first met. Rimuru also said he felt almost compelled to give her the Hero's Mask he inherited from Shizu, the same mask with time lock enchantments the hero seems to have worn in the past. My best guess right now is that Chloe is the Hero in Luminus's bathroom and she gets sent to the past somehow and is now some kind of Ouroboros. Not sure where she got separated from Leon though but he and Rami 'Fell from Grace' around 300 years ago if I remember correctly. A Space-Time clusterfuck of some kind definitely went down.

EDIT: "Vary" had some good input and i had to read up on it ,since i mixed up some details. True hero is the same as a True demon lord. Saint is more the spiritual and physical evolution of humanity. I love that Lee paused and paid attention at all the right times :) So much important lore. So just some basic info Demon lord (Not evolved) the human equivalent is a "Sage" True demon lord (Evolved) the human equivalent is a "Saint" and as this episode said humans don't get that instant super human physiology. The whole Granbell scenes in the past is NEW CONTENT so slime is getting the love it deserves You know what i'm gonna say. Come on you know it. She DIDN'T say (unless there's a difference in subs?) that the spirit body was Great Spirit of Time, but under the PROTECTION of the Great Spirit of Time (so a subordinate to Great Spirit of Time, essentially, like how X element also has Lesser Spirit of X etc (but somewhere closer to Great Spirit of X in the hiearchy ofc)), which was her logical deduction since you can't actually time travel under normal circumstances, so you'd have to be consented to doing so by the Great Spirit of Time who oversees Time-related elemental magic etc. Then she motormouth spits out something about the spiritual body by doing this "it laid out the foundation for its own rebirth" after the "protection of the Great Spirit of Time" line, since she's a bit panicked given the rapid unstable energy fluctuations this type of time travel as a spiritual body probably would take, for obvious spatio-temporal structural integrity reasons you can probably see in any given fantasy or sci-fi franchise with similar trope-y time travel etc mechanics baked in-universe. I'll try to see if cronchy's youtube page has a clip about the scene, which I think they could considering they have other epic scenes there as well Edit: well fuck, the only clip I could find with simple youtube search skipped that part of the scene...

that's not entirely accurate Demon Lord Seed (not evolved) human equivalent is Hero's Egg True Demon Lord (evolved) human equivalent is True Hero Saint is like a separate status from the two, and they are typically on par with an unevolved demon lord in terms of strength. The subtitles failed to add the word Seed when Luminous explained "Think of it how a Demon Lord Seed becomes a True Demon Lord when they awaken."

18:10 When Luminous says that she thinks she knows what Granville is after, I recall her telling Rimiru that she can't tell him what it is before moving on, yet the anime has her bring up Yuuki. Maybe I'm nuts, but with the mamga and novels, and how much the anime has teased "naked yuri self-harm therapy time" with Luminous I wanna say they changed it a little. Maybe? Also, the anime has her say something in the beginning of the episode, but I recall her saying, @ 18:40, that Granville knows the "ins and outs" of Lubelius better than anyone in this scene, which would be most relevant, considering she is discussing security.

I find it interesting how ultimately his wife was killed by a human who wanted him to just not show up to the party. Just someone envious of him.. yet that same person is the one who winds up stabbing his wife but it's not humanities fault? How many times has this man concocted a plan and the others involved had other ideas instead? Like luminous said.. his ideal is unrealistic because it is those same humans who despite everything he had get envious and seek to harm him but he is ultimately taking it out on the demon lords while under the umbrella of peace.. it won't happen.. it can't because he is too greedy. Co-existence can still happen if done rightly.. but he's lost his way since his wife was killed. He's been on a vendetta since and he cannot even fathom someone else accomplishing his goal other than him. A man blindsided by hate often doesn't realize the knife being pushed into his back.
