this show man, it's the little details that just give it heart. The slight ear movement on Sylphie, the fishing lines moving with the current. Both are completely unnecessary but each add just that little bit to the show. Just like in ep 3 with Rudy trying to get up with his missing hand and having to readjust mid motion. They are so easy to miss but makes the characters and world feel real.

mushoku is basically a slice of life show with occasional action. its what made reading the light novels so good. the author really does the interpersonal stuff well. when you think, it would be cool if this person and that person meet, well i guess the author thought so to and the DO meet. and directors right about rudy being a terror with his magic. most mages dont actually make thier own magic, they just use existing magic. because rudy doesnt need the incantation(which is basically like a program), rudy is free to manipulate and combine different spells to his hearts content. sylphie can do this too, but rudy is ALWAYS workign on magic. i think the ONE exception to this is the magic on paper in the form of seals. that seems to be magic that more mages use, but its not as popular. i mean between slowly drawing as seal on paper to make something happen or shooting a fireball, i can see why most people would rather just say some words and chuck a fireball.

No spoilers here: From the middle of the episode when Lee & Director were talking about which wife is the "lead" wife, my thoughts are like this. From Rudy's perspective, there is not a doubt in my mind that he doesnt love his wives equally. They get his love and attention on an even playing field. However, Rudy himself mentions that he would not have this happy life if it wasnt for Sylphy. In reality I believe 100% Sylphy runs that house. She is the matriarch, the queen, etc. Roxy is a wife, sure, but she doesnt appear to be a decision maker (so far that I can see). Rudy could bring home 1, 2, 3, 100 more women and they arent joining the family unless Sylphy approves it. In my mind at least, that makes her the "Lead" wife. As for the Aisha stuff, so far, I havent seen anything super concerning between Rudy and her. I see some concerning behavior from Aisha for sure lol but not from Rudy. I think a lot of people are seeing things that arent there because they're worried Rudy is going to do something disgusting, which is fair lol Even the tickle thing didnt stand-out to me. One thing that DOES stand out to me though, is Rudy mentioned in the last episode that Aisha can call Zenith Mom as well. Aisha politely declines and explains why. I think Rudy thought it to himself, but he mentions that Zenith treated them both equally as daughters. What stands out to me about that, is Rudy doesnt refer to Lilia as Mom when Lilia also treated Rudy as a son (in her own way). At least, from whats shown in the anime, Lilia treated Rudy the same way Zenith treated Aisha. This isnt a big deal or gripe or anything, I just found it a bit interesting that Rudy wants Aisha to feel less like a maid while Rudy himself treats Lilia as a maid and not his mother figure (that she totally is, and I will die on that hill). Final thought: Imagine if Rudy just went murder hobo. He'd be one scary dude to fight against lol the stuff he does with magic in this world should be considered insane. Even if he didnt want to be a murder hobo, he could easily make a living writing research papers or something similar. Honestly, he could probably drop out of university one day and start the next day as a teacher, I'm sure the dean or w/e would be more than happy to have him as faculty.

ya thats i thought that a bit wierd too(about calling zenith mom). rudy doesnt even refer to her has mom. just zenith. and shes physically his ACTUAL mother. and rudy would be able to do a lot of damage if he went full psycho, but i think hed still be killable. the sword fighers of this world tend to have the upper hand in fights. especially someone whos like a sword king and above. if rudy could use a suprise attack and do attacks from a distance he'd be able to hold his own, maybe win, but if they close the distance, hes toast. basically ki > magic in this world for the most part. at this point rudy is probably in the top 100 or top 50 of people in this world.
