The books go on and on about how bows suck because bows can't use magic. Sword men use magic as aura to fight instead of skill or technique with the weapon. Aura skill matters way more than anything else, and without it the sword kings, emperors and god all can be beat to death with a golf club. So a Bowman who can't use aura or spells has a huge handicap, which means an adventurer with a bow is working several times harder than a Swordsman or mage of equal rank. Sara, who is rank A, is probably one of the hardest working adventures is the series.

heres a question. what exactly is the moral of the story for mushoku? did rudy become a better person simply because he tried to, or did he become a better person because he was born into a very attractive body that had a lot of power and was part of a nobel family and everyone treated him better because of it? it kinda reminds me a how naruto tried to push the whole, hard work vs genius angle, but in the end neji was actually right. naruto was born a genius. he was the son of the fourth hokage and his mother was like the most powerful person in uzumaki clan. he had like the best bloodline, the best teachers, the best village AND the most powerful taled beast inside him. by the end of the story, he totally proved neji right. and neji died protecting hinata if im right., exactly what he was cursed to do in the first place :D

moral of the story is live your life and things will happen. good and bad. Rudy was not living his life before, now he does. Also Rudeus was not really ugly, he was fat. Big difference imo. Agree about Naruto though. there is a reason they ditched the hard work vs genius plotline

I'm gonna be honest, if ur paying money to watch reactors, wouldn't the last thing you'd wanna do is type out the plot to the reactors? I mean, I've read the LNs, but I'm here for your takes and reactions to the show. Not to mention, it kinda spoils the potential for Lee and Nasty to watch missed LN content from other creators after the fact. It's like rushing to the finish line and throwing away the trophy.

Yea, bows can act more as support with a frontliner tanking, same with mages who have to cast I like this part wrapping up an old storyline but also like a stepping stone to charmander eventually returning. theres not being ugly, and then theres being attractive. theres a big difference there. dating app data supports this. and its part nature vs nurture. paul and zenith were both very positive people. the culture of this worlds seems more like a western type culture with people being more open with thier feelings rather than the more supressed japanese type culture. my question is is the total positive interactions that rudy gets in this world because of all his advantages the main factor for his growth, like a positive feedback loop, or would rudy have been just as good if he had say been born as pax.

Allegedly, Jigoro Kano (founder of Judo) said: Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard. I think it's pretty obvious that the work that Rudy's doing to improve himself is mental and is not related to his looks or magic strength. Dude is good looking and maybe the strongest magic user on the planet but he still tried to off himself when a girl rejected him. And good things never came to him until he put the work in.

I do think for Rudeus, is not exactly that a woman saves him. Is the deep connection he has with them. With Roxy and Sylphy, they already have a deep bond from before they met again. And both of them saved and helped him when he was in a bad moment for sure, but is the previous connection, bond that they have that make them want to help him, AND also Rudeus allowed them to help him because he trusted them as well. It goes both ways. With Sara I think it could eventually turn out that way, it had the potential, but Rudeus was in a very bad place, he liked her, is not that he didn't care or didn't like her at all, I don't buy him saying he wasn't into her. Not the same way as with Eris for sure, he wasn't in love and there wasnt a deep bonding, but he did like her. But since all was more superficial still, he was very cautious back then, and was very tough for him to open up and trust someone. That needed time an be slow pace. that is why it worked so well with Sylphy, cos it took time even after they reunited. Was good for rudeus he thought she was a man first, built that foundation that he lost with Eris. Eventually I do think she could also have loved rudeus as much as his wives does, and she would have done same things for him as well. But things take time, creating a bond and deep trust is not instant. Sara yeah, she is cool, and sad for her cos I think she still have feeling for him. I mean not that she is in love or anything, but he was important to her, he saved her so that emotional impact was huge for her, but things just didnt pay out in the way they needed to create that deep bond, especially for rudeus as he was in such a bad bad place. But it was a good closure though for her. To be fair, Eris did really destroyed him at that moment, but in a weird way I think in the long run it turn out for the better, but who knows hehe.

Interesting question. I think a story like this is not as strigthforward, and it will be different for different people. Like some songs, people think a song means something, and another thinks it means something else. For me MT is about life. That things might change very fast, sometimes things can hit hard and feel there is no hope, is about people, connections, bonds, family, friends, day to day things, and also situations that look very tough but have to deal with them, people that are not perfect and either good or evil. I think this is why MT even for all the controversy, people that like it there is some elemnt of the story you can relate, because it coversy so much. The story in itself is interesting, but there are so many characters, so many plot lines going on, the world building is interesting, family, friends, love, but also cool fights and action. I mean so much going on, and all is so well done, thats the things too, is not like it tries to cover a lot but it ends up not being good. Very tough to do, and thats why is so so hard something similar as MT to show up again. My wife cares nothing about action stories or fantasy worlds, i mean is not something she looks for on a series, but she is likes MT very much.

However, I’ve found that expecting every single need to be fulfilled by one person to be mad unlikely. So, no matter who or how many, EVERYTHING better be out, open, honest, and enthusiastic. Cheating and lying never evolve into a better, nicer form, especially not for “intent.” I expect open mouths and flowing words, and yes, you can take that however you want.

You sound like a typical "MT is bad because its icky troll" but I'll humor you. Go. Read. The. Books. (not the manga, not the anime, the actual books) If you get to a part that genuinely makes you uncomfortable, skim past it and move on. The answer to your question can only be answered from within yourself. I could easily tell you what I thought the message/moral of the story was, but that would be based on how I interpreted it. (and posting it here would be huge spoilers) Finding that answer is only going to be possible if you approach it in good faith (as in, if you go to read it with the preconception thats its icky terrible, you're not going to get anything out of it). If you dont, then you might as well pack up and leave the rest of us alone.
