Yeah, people try to spoil everything. I can't tell if it's just people too excited and can't control themselves or just doing it to purposefully spoil people, but I'm sure it does get annoying while you guys try to interact with the community but constantly getting spoiled.

Yup, Lee got it right. Veldora got released after Great Sage got upgraded to Raphael due to Rimuru becoming a Demon Lord.

So Slime is now Blazblue! I kid, but the time loop shenanigans completely changes the tone of what kind of show this is. Also they clearly explained Hinata's past rather that just alluding to it back in Season 2. This feels so different than when other shows like Tokyo Revengers or even Undead Unluck do this. ReZero and Slime going band for band every week at this rate...

I honestly disagree with this explaining away the argument of Rimuru being op. Those other timelines mean nothing to use since we didn't go through those. If it were like Rezero that I would agree with since we go through those. Who knows if he even had Raphael in those other timelines.

This is stuff from season 2 so it is a spoiler free. Basically, Lee remembered it right. But, just to add to the discussion at the end: Tempest got attacked while Rimuru was busy fighting Hinata, he came back and found that some folks had died and the only way to bring them back was to gobble 20k souls and become a demon lord. When he became a demon lord, he underwent evolution and his skills also evolved so Great Sage evolved into Raphael. Raphael, as Lee said, has more processing power which meant she could undo Veldora's seal quicker. Now, related to this episode (still anime safe): in the other timeline Chloe talked about, Rimuru died without becoming a demon lord which means presumably he didn't have Raphael so he couldn't get Veldora out in time. You guys pretty much nailed this in your discussion, just wanted to add some context.

Last episode Luminus said "I couldnt save you eventhough i was right here", and a few episodes ago she said something about Rimuru dieing again, so i guess one can asume our Luminus always knew about the entire story and just kept quiet to keep things from changing . Also Chloe dissapeared before Chronoa and Yuuki showed up to reveal what happened in our time, so neither her in the past or Luminus would know in the future either.

i wonder if the difference in this timeline was that rapheal actively manipulated the situation so that rimuru would become a demon lord. Remember that great sage requested the gift for itself. i wonder if rapheal was directing great sage to ask for the gift so she could come into this world to help rimuru. I expect the first thing chorona does when she wakes up is punch grandville in the face. it might be as hilarous as 'i will assemble the knights'. then i think she'll put hinata back into her body and hinata will become a true hero and beat grandville.

You're forgetting great sage , does not turn into Raphfael until Rimuru becomes a demon lord Then great sage turns into Raphael and then Voldor is released this part I know is true because it's right after tempest got attacked and he took out the 20,000 soldiers

He did not as Raphael came from him becoming a true demon lord and chloe said that the current timeline is the first time that happened but he still has great sage

Yeah that is how I took it too, seems like what we know of as plot armor in some shows, and it how felt like Rimuru had it in spades, was basically this timeline threading the needle to make his strength grow and put him on a trajectory to have a shot at what is to come. Man, I love slime so much lol. I love the action, has a ton of great, funny, and op side characters, has cool world building, and the MC personality is awesome IMO.

Oooh, this is almost like watching Re: Zero, but never seeing any of the episodes or parts of the show where he failed. Would still be a fun adventure, but with a lot less OP MC/characters, but it would make Subaru seem super lucky lol.

Love the post discussion this episode. All I'll say about Raphael is, the nature of Raphael may go beyond your expectations. Also, you guys came to the right conclusion about when Veldora was released in our main timeline. It happened after Rimuru became a demon lord and Great Sage became Raphael. So in the timeline we see in this episode of Rimuru dying and Veldora then going on a rampage, it's definitely a Veldora that had never been fully released and given a body because Rimuru never became a true demon lord and Great Sage did not become Raphael.

You guys really do be forgetting stuff quickly lmao. At the end of episode 15 this season Luminous said "Will Rimuru really be killed? Everything has changed." Chloe actually only told Luminous about the future of the previous loop, not the current one where he becomes a demon lord, in order to avoid her changing things about the current one.

Lee got it there at the end. Before Ultimate skill Raphael, it was the Unique skill Great Sage.

How is Chloe able to go back in time if her "future authority self" is needed to grant her the power to do so? From my understanding, there are two conditions: first, she has to visit the dwelling of spirits, and second, Hinata has to die. However, for the cycle to begin, the first condition cannot be required, because there wouldn't be a future self in the dwelling to grant her that ability. This means she shouldn't be able to gain the power to travel back in time unless she already possesses it. So, the real question is: how does the cycle start?

Lee was right at the end discussion, Veldora was released after Rimuru became a demon lord and great sage upgraded to the ultimate skill Raphael, also Chloe said in the episode that Hinata has traveled with her to the past multiple times but Hinata doesn't remember it. Chloe also calls Luminous a friend which I think means she has told Luminous about her time travel ability in the previous time loops.

The reason Beni and all them lost was because he didn’t become a demon lord so they all didn’t get upgrades from his harvest festival (season 2 stuff) and were significantly weaker

I'm shocked folks would say that there was no stakes in Slime Isekai. There have always been stakes, and with this season past halfway thru the series, there are BIG ASS STAKES ahead!!!! Maybe I'm just seeing something differently, but even if I haven't finished the whole LN series, I am still pissed and upset at moments that I do know about. That's the point of fiction! Roll with it! I'm damn glad Rock and D Nasty care enough to believe in the worst outcomes!

NO SPOILER- Funny enough, I have read thru volume 19, so most of that world's history, I've already caught on to, mostly. So, last night, I stumbled onto a hella detailed Reddit post that did a fiiiiine job of explaining damn near everything that took place before the series begins. I went ahead and grokked it nearly to fill, and watching this reaction is so damn unique now, since I have a bunch of info I didn't have yesterday. Veldora's "fun time at Nightrose" means so much more to me, and....I thought I loved Luminus before..... well, me and that subreddit thinkg she's just the bee's knees, damn it! The series better get a full anime adaptation. There is way way way way too much left to be exposed, pondered on, and wept over.

31:30 Rock, I get the impression that you forgot that Chloe went all 88 mph @ 1.21 gigawatts before Chronoa and Yuuki turned up. So, Chloe can't warn anyone about anything except Hinata dying, so Luminus won't prepare for Yuuki's bullshite. That's also why Chloe hadn't heard the name "Chronoa."

We already know why Veldora attacks, IIRC he explained it in S1 when he meets Rimuru in E2 (I think?); he literally said he accidentally burned a city to ash because he was "bored". I mean consider how much fun Milim was having disintegrating Carion's kingdom in S2, for the lulz while acting to be mind controlled by Clayman, basically the same type of thing w/ Veldora ig. Actually did anyone else notice how it was always the Hero (and even in past seasons when she's mentioned, it's always been THE Hero. Not even Shizue uses her name, despite her having a foster mother role temporarily for Shizue, until she disappears at some point & Shizue is on her own from then on), but after the ark cube thingie is stolen & the Hero crashes into the building, suddenly Luminous uses Chronoa instead? 🤨

You know im amazed but I actually have to say this episode changed my perspective of this whole series. My biggest complaint has always been that it feels to easy. Everything rimuru tries just works almost without fail. I love the show but its always been hindered from reaching the great tier for me because I have felt the stakes just are not there. This episode showing that this is the only timeline where he actually gets this strong and it works makes this way less of a issue for me. Now it all feels intentional and less of just random OP bullshit or political ease
