Sorry, but there’s no fetish content in this update.
There isn’t much I can show publicly this time, but I wanted to share a progress update anyway.
1. Line-kun Debugging & Bug Fixes
Once again, I asked our dedicated beta testers to help with debugging, and they found several bugs.
I’ve now fixed all of the reported issues for the time being.
(I fixed around 20 bugs this time. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to programming...)
2. Boss Gallery Mode
In response to everyone’s requests, you can finally challenge the bosses directly from the title screen!
Additional actions and maximum HP will be set to ideal values depending on the boss.
You can also freely select your fast food by pressing the C key.(There is only one option at the moment, but I plan to make it possible to select up to three.)
Difficulty settings and a fetish-lock setting are also planned to be added by the end of this month, so please look forward to them!
3. Writing the Text
I’m sorry that I can’t show you anything yet, but I’m currently working on the settings and text for the Boss Gallery Mode, as well as Line-kun’s introductory story.(It’s about 80% complete.)
Line-kun can be challenged immediately once you enter the battle area, but I designed the story so that it connects very slightly to Chapter 2.
Please wait just a little longer!
4. Creating Icons & Other Assets
I’ve finished creating characters and objects related to the story, as well as Line-kun’s boss icon.
I’ll only show a few of them for now to avoid spoilers.
I’ll deliberately leave it unexplained what these were created for.
5. Next Update
Complete the Boss Gallery Mode (including the detailed settings)
Finish the text and send it out for translation
Create Line-kun’s area
Fix the bugs that have been reported
It looks like we’re finally getting close to completion.
Once I have a clear idea of the release date, I’ll make another announcement with the details, so please wait just a little longer.
I’m sorry that I don’t have much to show you in this update.
I’m not slacking off—the development is still progressing steadily. I apologize, but I hope you can understand.
6. Bonus: Studying Godot
Because of my work, I’ve had an opportunity to learn Godot, and I’ve been comparing it with Action Game Maker.
Honestly, I feel like Godot gives me a lot more freedom as long as I can understand Python...
For now, I’m going to stay focused on Junk of Knight.
However, once it’s finished, I’m thinking of putting Junk of Knight aside for a while and working on several smaller projects before starting development on Chapter 2.
I already have a good idea of the systems I want to implement in Chapter 2, so I’d like to make some titles that will let me study and experiment with those systems beforehand.
If there’s a type of game you’d like to see, or a spin-off you’d be interested in, feel free to leave a comment!
I can’t promise that I’ll be able to use your ideas, but I’ll definitely keep them in mind when planning future titles.
