Pushing the Limits for Chapter 05 (Patreon)

Hey my dudes! All good? I'll start by apologizing right away. 7 days without posting, what's that about, DTZ? 😥🤯

But relax, it's for a good reason! These past few days I've been really focused on my tasks and on some new things I'm planning, and I needed to finish them before making a post. In short, these new things I've been practicing greatly improve my image production and open up even more possibilities for scenes, scenarios, and environments.

I confess this was, and to some extent still is, my main concern for this chapter. The AI I use can't properly generate images of the two main environments where the characters will be. Just to give you an idea, this is the result when I use prompts like "anime convention interior, anime convention, convention, manga, otaku..."

As you can see, the result looks more like a convenience store than anything else. But I can solve this issue, I just need to invest waaaay more time than I wanted to produce these environments. 😅

On top of that, one of the biggest challenges I have so far is creating scenes where the background stays consistent, or at least feels like it makes sense, while keeping a good aesthetic.

Many games that use AI get around this by creating completely empty or monochromatic backgrounds, which in my opinion, in most cases it makes the game more boring, so I avoid doing that as much as possible, even though it takes a lot more work.

And lastly, speaking specifically about chapter production, despite these difficulties things are flowing well! I'm already finishing some artworks and I have several scene drafts. I'm choosing to focus more on this creative part before moving on to dialogue and code. ❤️‍🔥

For the next update, you can expect scenes that are a bit different from what you're used to. But in a good way.
