Things are really starting to heat up! All the deep sea monsters are getting close to the surface . . .

Where do you see this going? How bad do you want it to get? (And feel free to expound in the comments—I already know, but what if I'm off the mark, ha ha?)

The next Devil chapter will be live on Saturday at 8PM EST

Hmmm, don't recall KT ever doing a "bad End" before, would be interesting to see if it can be done well. it's easier to have a satisfying light ending rather than a dark satisfying ending. It's rare hotwife authors do it, at least the very popular ones.

DavidnDaria

Voted to see josh become some sort of cuckold seeking revenge. We thought about it and decided on this because we want to see the story go on. Any other fate leaves it open for you to end it quickly. Yeah, we're evil, too. :)

Donkatsu

Kirsten McCurran managed something of the sort in her Carol series. Carol hit a dead end in her marriage and in her extracurriculars and had to face the cost of her decisions. There was a low key HEA ending but it was bittersweet for the couple and especially our gal, Carol.

Tim ziegler

Looks like I’m going to hate the rest of this book! I would vote for burn the house down Devlin in the hospital revenge.I’m more along the line of Just Plain Bob.

JL23

This is a really tough one. I typically prefer something of a soft landing for our cuckolds. But I’m not sure I see Josh as either a totally happy or even reluctant cuckold...as much as it turns him on, I don’t think he could ever handle being a permanent cuck to Devlin. To me, that kind of leaves 3 or 4, but both of those are kind of dark endings and not sure I want to read those either. My heart wants him to be 4, to dump Kimmy, figure out a way to bankrupt Devlin, and marry Karina and have 4 kids with her to stick it to Kimmy..but I don’t see that being the fate of our Josh. He loves Kimmy, and he also loves the idea of being a cuckold, so I suspect we’re heading to 3, where he’s totally humiliated but can’t let go of Kimmy or his lust.

Tracey52

I agree with DnD but for different reasons. Both Devlin and Kimmy deserve some sort of retribution for their actions although Josh may at some level like what is going. I could live with the other scenarios other than Josh becoming a happy cuckold and this becoming a HEA Hotwife story. I think this story deserves better more like LHW 1 and 2. By the way, thanks for asking our opinion KT but I expect you have already decided where this will go and of course we’ll love it. Glad you’re doing well.

BNR

This is so freaking complicated to try to explain to somebody outside the process. I wanted to ask a friend because we're in book, what? six or whatever and we are ONLY NOW about to dip into a bit of the cuckold waters. (almost literally!) I feel like Josh has been more of a side character in "Kimmy his too slur town" and only servers to make Kimmy's adventures all the sweeter. Or am I that far off? 🤔

Donkatsu

Want to change my vote. Josh need to close the book on Devlin and HS. The only way to do this is to channel his inner Jason, or, as suggested above, dump Kimmy and marry Karina [not gonna happen- ed]. Glad yo are feeling better, KT.

Bwood

I picked 3&4. It should get really dark as Kimmy gives him 'what he really wants.' But maybe with some catharsis at the end when Kimmy's deception and hypocrisy gets brought to light in a way that she can't lawyer her way out of. Whatever Josh's subconscious drives and kinks, he has been gas-lit and manipulated by Devil and/or Kimmy from the very first chapter. He deserves a chance to see things clearly eventually. You've also done such a good job at subtly showing how fragile Devlin's ego is, and how the lift he gets from fucking with his high-school punching bag is actually kind of sad. I don't even think Josh needs to get literal revenge on either of them at the day's end -- sometimes living well really is the best revenge.

TF

I voted revenge...Josh thinks he loves her but he doesn't actually know her...Kimmy says she loves him but manipulates him from book one onward using his feelings for her against him to hide and then further her self-centered aims. Given the choices I don't see what other option is realistic...well this is fiction of a particular genre so I realize the other choices are very possible.

Glaucon

This is interesting. Any of these scenarios could be written naturally in the established story. Personally, I’m always in favour of it getting as bad it can be because I’m a monster, so I went with option 3. I am curious about what exactly the distinction between 3 and 5 would be. I suppose 5 implies more active participation by Josh with both Kimmy and Devlin.

CSH

I agree most authors lack the courage to take their stories into the dark endings. Initially I said option three - a thoroughly humiliated cuckold. But on reflection that’s because the last option sounded a bit over the top. Most authors can’t carry it off without it becoming an unintentional parody. But I think you can actually do it, KT and when you do, it will make this an all time classic. So, what the hell, take it all the way, and let’s see Kimmy profoundly humiliate Josh. She can introduce Josh to the ecstasy of the martyr. It’s what he’s always wanted.

Sitri

I feel like I'll have to reread the entire series up to the previous post to refresh my memory on all that has happened. In my opinion, nothing really "bad" "humiliating" or "degrading" has happened to Josh. He ate Kimmy out and I think that's probably the closest (I can't remember what else may have happened). But KT's question is where do I see this going and how bad do I want things to get? Along the way, I think Josh's fantasy should be realized by watching Kimmy get sexually fulfilled by Devlin, not just once but multiple times (maybe even see them both emotionally connect fueling his angst?). I also see Kimmy and Devlin flirt and sexually act in front of oblivious Josh. I foresee an increase in angst and taunts to Josh from Kimmy as well (cuckold humiliation). But I also foresee Josh encouraging Kimmy's naughtiness since right now they're playing a "game." Just like what Tracy52 said, this could end like the Losing His Wife series. Though I don't want the series to end yet, in my opinion, the cuckold theme of the series along with the book cover titles match a dark story and a cuckold ending. I think a hot wife ending wouldn't match but that's my opinion. I personally feel a darker ending is appropriate. :) I think an ending like Pool Party would be appropriate too. Keep it up KT. I like that you posted this and gave us the opportunity to share our opinion. I look forward to reading everyone's comment.

I am in the same line as you. The darker the better especially if it's a cuckold story. However, a happy ending is always welcomed as long as the story supports the ending.

Sitri

After reading a few of the comments, I agree that maybe 3 and 5 are the same/similar. Five is an expansion of three which can all happen throughout the story. ;)

Sitri
>>45463642

I agree. You don't see many dark endings but I feel most authors in this genre write hotwife stories over cuckold and that's because I think most people don't like cuckold stories. In my opinion, hotwife is vanilla so it's safer to write and read over cuckold stories where there's cheating and humiliation involved. At least it's emphasized more than hotwife stories. I would hate to see this book have low ratings because of a darker ending. That just wouldn't be right.

BNR

In response to CSH and Sitri about a bad ending getting bad reviews: VERY LIKELY to get review bombed ! I don't see the average reader giving a DARK DARK ending a good review. But that is the risk in going for a "Hamlet."

Chinookfan72

i voted #3. I’m not really into where this story ends as I am the journey to get there. The parts aI really like are the cheating and Josh being unwittingly humiliated by Kimmy along the way. As soon as Josh knows for sure what’s happening this story it’s about time to wrap it up. So I went with three as I hope the cheating and the humiliation continue for a long time. There are so many scenarios Kimmy Josh and Devlin can get into where Kimmy can be fucking Devlin without Josh knowing, and at the same time Kimmy can be humiliating Josh by making him think something is going on, but always being one step ahead so he can’t know for sure. To me #3 also seems somewhat more open ended, so if I’m voting for a more finite ending then I’d go #5.. That’s a tight needle to thread, but I really want to see Josh’s humiliation ramp up, as Josh remains unsure if the humiliation is true or just Kimmy feeding into his kink. So #5 could work as the once it’s revealed to Josh he gets the full picture of how much fuckery has gone on behind his back that he is left with nothing but to stay with Kimmy while she openly fucks a Devlin and maybe more (Josh’s friends, his ex-sister-in-law, Josh’s boss etc.)

BNR

I see/hope for an ending where Josh likes the humiliation, at first. But as they step up the things that Kimmy and Devlin do together "for Josh," we/they find that it was never really "for Josh." That is the truth. Nothing Kimmy had already done if for anyone but Kimmy. And certainly Devlin had been honest, at least about what he wants from Kimmy. Josh is a victim of TWO BULLIES currently. And I want the bullies to suffer before the end. Otherwise, this is a series about torturing Josh. If the bad guys are going to win, they could have put Voldemort and Dolores Umbridge on the cover of Harry Potter books. 🤓

Grrrbah

I want Josh to never know --or at least never be totally confident--that this is happening. Cheating isn't cheating if everyone is in on it. I also think that Kimmy should reign in Dev's taunting. Josh's issues with Dev are very serious, and Kimmy kind of stops being a sympathetic character for me if she would let this asshole just straight up torture her husband in front of her. It sounds weird, but cheating is one thing, letting someone you love be openly disrespected and crushed in front of you is another.

CSH

Look for Audrey Bocklin Cuckold Erotica on Amazon - four star review average. You won’t find much darker than that. Maybe mascarasnake stories among the free ones. Extreme for sure. But they haven’t been bombed. There are a (very) few others there. I don’t think there is that much review bombing for these stories on Amazon as opposed to some of the free sites. Not sure why exactly. I guess my point is the fear of taking it to extremes is perhaps worse than the reality. On the other hand I’m good with wherever this goes and support whatever decision KT makes with it. It’s great just to be asked our opinion.

Wess

Agree with BNR. I want some retribution. Maybe it's just the guy in me but want him to grow a pair. I'm also fine with some extended humiliation leading up to that. Makes for a more intense reprisal. Love me some justified emotional violence.

BNR

SWEET! I was afraid that no one would see it like i was... I love the series so far, but you get to a point where this isn't the sexy series I was enjoying. It's HOT! Kimmy throws a party for Josh because she feels guilty about her violation of trust, but then goes out and ABSOLUTELY violates that trust again. So while I'm loving her sexy transformation, she is also transforming into a villain. And if that is the point, then so be it. But I'm losing respect and/or compassion for Kimmy. I loved the Maggie Series but I wouldn't want this to just follow that formula either. I like dark but it can't all be Empire, the ending could be more Jedi somehow.

BNR

Agreed! I like to support the writers I enjoy. Whether I just buy their books, review them, or support their Patreons too

Danny Engel

I don't like really bad ends, but different kind of happy ends. Jaycuck aka J.C. Wittol had husband and wife in The road less travelles end up with different partners in the end. But that would have needed a setup to go that rout, which this story doesn'nt have.

Danny Engel

I voted for #3 and #5. There are so many happy cuckold\hotwife stories out there, it's almost boring. The revenge thing isn't for me I think. While I would like to see humiliation and all kind of kinky cuckold stuff, one thing I prefer too: In some way the couple should find a happy end. Both should get from the relationship, what they want and need. Their love has still to be there, otherwise it wouldn't matter, if they stay together.

TF

On Sept 23rd KT wrote "There will be more of Kimmy and Devlin tomorrow." A freudian slip? If so Josh is just a foil, a pawn in the thrilling (to her) game Kimmy is playing with Devlin. So although I voted for #4, I think it will be #3 coming down the pike. Just can't see #5 unless Josh is the ultimate spineless wet rag who never matured beyond high school.

Mike Monroe

I vote for 2 and 4 ..Cheating as a whole sucks...but in this context it is hot ...but I do agree Kimmy is doing for herself...Right now there is no proof Josh Asked Devilin for any of this ..Kimmy and Devil in are 2 bullies...she in it fully with Devil in..she is Humiliating Josh behind his back and really in front of him..Josh is living Love makes you blind...Things will get worst for him whether this continues to happen behind his back or in front of him ...but I want some sort of revenge against Devil in and in some measure Kimmy as well..Bullies can't win ever! Everything is all fun in games until aomeone gets hurt..Josh doesnt deserve this ..his crime loving and trusting his wife..Is Hotwifing or being a cuckold his thing.? I am not sure completely.

Sitri

I've never thought of Kimmy being a bully but that analysis makes sense. Interesting. Now I have a different perspective of how things could play out. Let the story continue!!!!!

Sitri

Relating this to Happy Endings. I don't think Josh will be man enough like Tommy. Tommy wanted and enjoyed his wife with another man but he was not a cuckold. He was in charge. Suki didn't "cheat" (intercourse), though she did mess around. There were some angst but he approved of everything. Josh, on the other hand, might man up a little (per recent chapters) but he is a cuckold. He enjoys the humiliation and the thoughts of Kimmy cheating on him with Devlin. Everything that has happened in the series, I believe, has been planned out to reveal Kimmy's betrayal and Josh's humiliation. The cheating, the angst, the lies/manipulations from Kimmy, Josh's suspicions. Like BNR mentioned, they are both bullies to Josh. Kimmy a present indirect bully and Devlin a past bully. Honestly, I think the ultimate humiliation is for Devlin to impregnate Kimmy (there's been mentions of Kimmy/Josh trying to start a family). I don't think there will be any "revenge" per se, but instead an agreement between all three. Right now, Josh is a closet cuckold and everything might be revealed soon. I don't believe KT has foreshadowed what would happen and I think that's the "shock" and "surprise" for us readers right now. We don't know what to expect and the current events is making us squirm and angst (LOL). "WOW! Was not expecting that." "Oh my gosh, oh my gosh! What's going to happen?!" There hasn't really been a "climax" and I think we're about to get to it. So maybe we're about 50-75% in the novel. I think whatever KT has planned will be masterful. This also makes me wonder how the Landlord series will play out and end.

Tim ziegler

Jonny and Josh are different,Jonny was ready to go after Reza with a bat! And I think in his own sick demented way Reza is trying to help Jonny. “Save the Penis”.

Sitri

I know the series isn't finished yet but l'll have to reread the series. It's honestly been a long time since I've read it. Lol.

BNR

My reasoning in that Kimmy has become a "bully" is because she has not just become Devlin's co-conspirator, but the worst or most damaging of the two bullies. She, if revealed, will hurt Josh much deeper and more permanently than Devlin EVER could. Especially if some thirty or fourth party made the discovery/reveal.

CSH

If you remember the story of Josh’s being beaten up it was done by Devlin’s friend not directly by Devlin. That is where Kimmy is at right now. She’s bullying Josh in association with Devlin even though she’s telling herself she’s saving Josh from Devlin. There’s both manipulation and self deception going on.

Wess

OK KT. Looks like all you have to do is have Kimmy continue to tease and cheat on Josh while professing her undying love for him and Devlin screws her in increasingly dangerous situations, possibly getting her prego, while Josh suffers extreme humiliation which he apparently really wants until his alter ego rises from the ashes and wreaks havoc on the heartless bullies! Piece of cake.

Donkatsu

The most important relationship in this story is the Josh-Devlin one. Forget about Josh and Kimmy. She has left him emotionally and looks forward to devising new ways to manipulate, demean, and humiliate him in front of his worst nightmare, Devlin. She is no better towards him in that regard in private moments with Devlin. Whether Josh and Kimmy can be fixed depends entirely on whether Josh can make things right with Devlin. Josh’s only hope for a decent life is to reverse the flow of power (the Soviets called it “the correlation of forces”) and wreak total, unrestrained, sadistic, and gleeful havoc upon Devlin. Devlin delenda est. Josh doesn’t know it now, but he is starring as the husband in yet another remake of Straw Dogs. Devlin will never take his foot off Josh’s neck; that’s the way those guys are. For all her protestations of love, Kimmy revels in the cruelty and deceit. A marriage to Karina is no out for Josh. Devlin will come after him to ruin that as well, and Josh’s demons, not slain or at least diminished, will come back and make Josh help Devlin in the destruction of his own life. There will be a big price to pay for Josh to set his life right; he waited too long and all the easy paths are blocked. Maybe that price will be Kimmy or maybe it will be something else. Only our fearless leader knows.

BNR

Totally agree! If ANY of the sexual encounters between Dev&Kim were to show up on social media or even just be sent to Josh anonymously and he might just eat a gun.

CSH

On this revenge thing, I guess we each read the story in our own way. Do people stop being sadistic and masochistic? (That’s meant as a real question.) What does revenge even look like for Josh? Living a good life? So Josh gets Devlin jailed, divorces Kimmy, marries Karina to live happily ever after. Then one night he asks his sweet new wife if she remembers when he got his ass kicked in front of her, and to please tell him he has a small dick......

CSH

As for Harry Potter - This is more like a literotica version of Harry Potter where Voldemort fucks all the good out of Hermione and turns her evil.

CSH

As we discussed earlier on this point, despite all of Devlin’s protestations to Kimmy, I think Devlin is as obsessed with Josh as Josh is with Devlin. Kimmy isn’t really in control, she is like the wire connecting the positive and negative terminals of two batteries. (In this case a big D cell and a little AA!) She gets a thrill transmitting the power so she likes it. Once she starts the flow of power in the cuckolding thing, Devlin is going to show her who is really in control.

BNR

YEAH, and poor Josh is poor Ron Weasley! TOTALLY FITS!

BNR

I only say Umbridge because she is more evil than Voldemort!

BNR

Me too... complete drop after the first two books. I would rather see more Chelsea hates Libby/Scream Queens!!

BNR

LoL! CSH, I dub thee "Radio Shack!" Love it!!!

BNR

Ouch... Tough question. And everyone might have a different answer. My response: Revenge doesn't cure old wounds. BUT! Soul-crushing, career-ending, heart-rending, public humiliation, and destruction can be such a nice and cathodic salve to make one feel as though the past can stay the past. That is not to say that Josh finding love again (with whomever) wouldn't make him want to risk some future hotwife/cuckold games to get the blood flowing!

CSH

The engineer of love. LoL!

Donkatsu

All good points, CSR, and despite improvements in battery technology, AA is still smaller than D. As noted in that great work, "The Deteriorata," while two wrongs don't make a "right," three do. Most of this battle is in Josh's head. But as long as Devlin can take his woman, humiliate him at parties or on the job, have Josh's boss conveniently send him out of town so that Devlin can have a week alone with the little woman, etc., Josh will have no peace within as well as in his marriage. Josh probably needs to think Jiu Jitsu, not Marquis of Queensbury boxing. He shouldn't be above using Kimmy, wittingly or not, as a weapon in this battle.

CSH

Addiction might be a good metaphor for the relationship here. Josh isn’t an innocent victim, he’s an addict. Josh and Kimmy have both just had little tastes of this cuckolding drug. As they start openly mainlining the drug they are going to rapidly change. Both will likely need to hit bottom before they realize that the addiction is stripping away all self respect. Might Josh’s low point also be Kimmy’s? Letting a guy jerk off in your panties while your friends eat dinner upstairs isn’t the peak of self control after all. I can see things escalating to a point where Devlin uses Kimmy to so utterly humiliate Josh that the next day she can’t even look at herself in the mirror for remembering what she did. So either Devlin breaks them both or they begin to recover. That’s when those wanting some payback might get it because it may be the only way for Josh and Kimmy to escape. But, even if they escape, they will continue to want the thrill.

CSH

Fall not in love therefore. It will stick to your face. - or your wife’s face.

CSH

If we remove option 4 as a separate issue (revenge can happen in combination with any of the other options) then the poll seems to form a pretty clear bell curve of preference.

Glaucon

Boooooooo happiness!

CSH

To paraphrase Tolstoy... All happy cuckolds are alike...
