All great films, but Schindler's List is the best reaction-movie.

Crimson Ace

For what it’s worth, Spielberg has said he’d like to be remembered for two films… Schindler’s List (1993) and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982).

Cameron Kerby

I hope you’ll do Schindlers List. I haven’t seen that one.

Robert Durant

I feel like E.T. has been fading away over the years.

Robert Durant

Just be prepared if you do Schindler’s List. It’s far from the Spielberg of Indiana Jones, Jaws, and Jurassic Park.

richard wilkinson

I'm sorry "Close Encounters" didn't make the list.

I voted Schindler's List. Empire of the Sun (1987) and Minority Report (2002) are good movies, but Schindler's List (1993) is one of the best movies of all time. Hook (1991) is a distant last for me.

Alan Jones

Schindler's List is an important film, a serious film, a film about one of the most disturbing periods in world history. It deals with subject matter we must learn about and remember as a cautionary warning for the future. But it is intense, and heartbreaking at times. If you watch it, you'll want to schedule another frivolous comedy soon after for a palate cleanser.

Saw ET in the theater as a kid. Bored me. Tried watching again as an adult..only slightly better.

Depressing history stays undefeated with the Patrons. That's not a shot, I voted Schindler's List too.

Schindler’s List was always going to win on that list... I just feel bad that the movies that win are the heavy hitters. Maybe go for something lighter in between? My Dad taught me about the consequences of WW2 at age 7 by making me watch Schindler’s List. It's a learning experience, but it's not fun...

Crimson Ace

Nice list. One good turn deserves another, so here's my Top 20. 1. Schindler's List (1993) 2. Saving Private Ryan (1998) 3. Jaws (1975) 4. Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981) 5. Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977) 6. E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) 7. Jurassic Park (1993) 8. Catch Me If You Can (2002) 9. Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) 10. Bridge of Spies (2015) 11. The Fabelmans (2022) 12. West Side Story (2021) 13. Lincoln (2012) 14. Minority Report (2002) 15. The Terminal (2004) 16. The Color Purple (1985) 17. Clay F

Thanks for the reply. Nice list.

Clay F

Respectfully, that almost seems like child abuse making a kid watch Schindler's List at age 7. Spielberg asked the girl not to watch the film until she was 18.

Clay F

Agree, hard watch. But every citizen of the world should watch.

James O'connor

odd list incredibly subjective I know raiders should be much higher and Jaws is a phenomenon

James O'connor

Could have stuck with Robin Williams and gone for Hook as an outsider, it was never going to beat Schinders list

Bill W

Wow...totally not an apples to apples list. More like apples to oranges to bananas to Schindler's List.
