"They are making up the rules as they go. There is no precedent for this." You nailed that. The dogs (innocent) being killed is tough. The younger guy killing dogs is also in "Masters of the Air" (2024) (9 episodes). There were 3 areas of the roof having different radiation levels, respectively, that needed to be cleared of the radioactive debris. Two were cleared with lunar rovers. The third (the highest radiation level at 12,000 roentgens) (characterized as the most dangerous place on Earth) was cleared by the men because the rovers wouldn't work in that roof area.

Looking forward to Schindler's List (1993) and Jackie Brown (1997). Thanks for reacting to Chernobyl. For the next miniseries, please consider: --"True Detective" S1 (2014) (8 episodes) [IMDb 8.9, RT=92%, RT Audience = 92%]. S1 nominated for 11 Emmys and 4 Golden Globes. Matthew McConaughey. Woody Harrelson. --"The Pacific" (2010) (10 episodes). As you may know, the same producers Tom Hanks/Spielberg as Band of Brothers. A companion series to Band of Brothers. --"The Queen's Gambit" (2020) (7 episodes) [RT=96%, IMDb=8.5] if you haven't seen it. Won 11 Emmys including Outstanding Limited Series.
