Let's give Camilla a round of applause for officially completing her Quentin Tarantino movie quest! 👏👏 Happy Saturday. Once Upon A Time in Hollywood (2019) is one of my favorite Quentin Tarantino movies and was the first one that I've seen in theaters, I saw it with my mom and dad. Man, that ending was wild and I loved it. It even gave me a good laugh. I also own this movie on Blu-ray.

This is the only Tarantino movie I haven't seen. I have been looking forward to watching it with you.

Concluded? Did you do Four Rooms?

It’s an anthology film. It’s a group effort but it’s still an important part of his oeuvre

Love this movie!

Thanks, Camilla, for your fun watchalong! I purposely avoided reading articles or watching pre-release interviews with the actors once I found out that the Manson Family and Sharon Tate were part of the plot. The true story of the events surrounding the Manson Family after he was apprehended was truly horrific. "Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood" is the way I wish history had been written. That said, I got a kick out of Rick and Cliff's friendship, which at first seemed like more of a boss/employee relationship until we see Cliff consoling Rick during his darker times. Dakota Fanning as 'Squeaky' Fromme was both super creepy (that closeup of her face during the confrontation at Spahn Ranch) and funny. In real life, Squeaky was so dedicated to Manson and his teachings that I'm surprised that she ever got paroled out of prison. In my unprofessional opinion based on all that of which she was involved relegates her to eternal nutjob status. It was great seeing Tim Olyphant in a quick draw gunslinging duel with Scoot NcNairy, which may have been a nod to his pistol prowess in his "Justified" TV series. I don't think I've seen so many pairs of dirty feet as appeared in this movie. Note to Quentin: a little goes a long way, fella.

I think this is my favorite movie of his, though I do acknowledge that Pulp Fiction is most likely his masterpiece. There is just such a warm and laidback feel to this one.

Camilla's Corner

definitely laid back, it sort of feels like he's completely comfortable in his filmmaking abilities and like he's not trying to prove anything in this one

Camilla's Corner

I won't be watching that anytime soon, but I likely will eventually!
