Peanut was demanding something for much of this reaction. Either food or attention is my guess, but sometimes you just never know with cats. Maybe Peanut just wanted to talk. Peter lost his power when Ego’s planet died. His power came from being connected to the core. Baby Groot stole this movie for me. Mantis helped make the movie better too.

While I like this one, I kinda prefer the first one better. Similar to Spider-Man 3 I feel like they put too many villains. While they fit in the overall story ok, I feel like they all weren’t necessarily needed. Also I feel like the movie suffers from tonal problems at times, especially in the third act. While comedy is subjective I feel like some of the jokes kind of undercut the darker tone of the third act. It’s still a solid movie that delivers a good emotional end, but those things drag it down a bit for me. Quill lost his celestial powers when he destroyed/killed Ego, so he wouldn’t have been able to save Yondu.

There is a clue for the Vol 3 with that last scene of Rockets face. Didn't clock that until I rewatched this recently.

I don't think this is a spoiler to say that Guardians are not going to be "roped into" Avengers. Avengers deal with earth issues primarily, while guardians have usually bigger concerns. Both groups are separate with distinct purpose. Now whether they will meet or not, is a separate question. You will have to wait to find out.
