draft one included for completenessWhaddya think? Anything need to change to make it more awesome?I personally think his face should be tilted down a bit. He's not screaming at the sky, he's screaming at the prawn.I also think the swords should be bigger. just grab the assets he made and dial them up about 400%Whaddya think? We'll go for one more round of suggestions then hold our peace.

Bookwyrm

so glad you didnt go with the doom looking one

Oth

First one is better right now. Second one has way too much face and skin in it.

DeeSharkman

I like the second a bit more, the only thing is that the face and the helmet should be aligned. Right now Perry is looking/screaming upwards while the helmet seems to be oriented as if he's looking forward Although I do agree with Oth as well, a bit less skin and a bit more armor would be nice. Perry is a Tinker/Wizard, not a brute after all

Ford-Thomas Frank Loveland

I love how stupid the cardboard looks, although I do agree that too much of thr armor is removed

Littleme02

I feel the new one is much better, espessialy the tone from the colouring. Not sure if I'm fan of the screaming, and the mouth visible. Also logically there should also be a open wound running along where the armor was torn apart/cut not just in the center of his chest, not sure of that would look thou

Crownfall

#2 looking wayyyy better

Throngler In Chief

2nd one is better as far as color palate and body-shape. Swords are still wrong, thought they were supposed to look like they had some kind of tech to fly around. Maybe make them look like they're mounted on cans of soda with LED's taped/glued onto them? Helmet needs to go, just doesn't look right, needs slightly more armor too. Maybe cover the shoulder and upper arm back up (but leave off the pauldron/jet pod to show damage) and have the head uncovered, neck/collar covered, and chest and torso armor cut/ripped open? Or cover some of the skin with a t-shirt or underarmor? Add that layer and have the chest of the cloth ripped away to show the mark and wound? Also, it'd be funny if he was missing a boot and had like a brick on his foot or if he was stepping on a board with nails sticking up. Little change like that, or anything similar, would make it seem less "Angsty Hero" more "Amateur Hero"

Carl Mason

You are absolutely right that the face needs work. And I prefer the damage to the suit in the first one over the second one. The second is an absolute improvement on the whole though. Many of these other suggestions are good. Especially the shirt one.

RepossessedSoul

the color palate of #2 looks way more in line with what his early suits were, at least the early ones. The pose is weird. The current arms down, head thrown back, pose is either like a victory scream or a loss scene where someone has died and he's just venting after a hard fight. Since the only prawn scene in the book is neither of those it is kind of off. But of the two I like the second better. Looks more like a teenager in a cardboard suit than another knock-off super soldier power fantasy. As an alternative pose that is close to the one here, maybe change it so that he is holding the jaws from crushing him while the blades are angled to come at the POV of the reader? So it looks like he is struggling to hold back the prawn from the people in the background and is trying to line up these glowing swords to skewer whatever is attempting to wrap its pincers around him. Just a thought. Good job though to the artist on capturing all those little details in the background though.

Deinos

Where are the naked women?

SunderGoldmane

I agree with someone else’s interpretation of the pose as a victory scream or loss scream. This pose would make more sense to me if he was making it on top of a prawn corpse. The color pallete of number two is nice and seeing other supers in the back is nice contrast of showing Perry is a different hero in a certain hero setting. I’m really stuck on want Ming to actually see a prawn on the cover. Maybe instead of civilians running there were instead one, two, or three civil security with a prawn gun? Those suggestions kind of require the cover to undergo a bit of a change in direction but between the two I like number two the best and think the background additions are a step in the right direction.

The second one is better, but like others have said, the head doesn't look great. Also, I can't help but feel that it looks like he's wearing a big diaper (which is funny, but I'm not sure whether that's what you're going for). And maybe add some more blood leaking from the wound on the chest or something. Love the cardboard symbols though!

Batts

Much prefer the lighter one, does not feel as angsty. Also seems to be less bulky? I think that since we're talking about a teenager whose body is still developing (remember the daily workouts to gain strength), he should be a little more slender.

Jeff Wells

This one is dope as hell! As others mentioned the helmet seems to be looking forward while Perry is looking upward, but the diaper thing I'm not seeing. That's basically what armor in the crotch region would have to look like, no? Maybe it's a little bulky I guess? Either way, I love that you can tell it's cardboard now, that's so great.

Gavriel

I like it better, except that the lack of armor in some places greatly emphasizes certain unfortunate body parts.... I like it better even so.... But.... I can't get the image out of my head. I'm just gonna say it! He looks like he's wearing a diaper basically; the armor in that area is shaped EXACTLY like a diaper, it even protrudes to emphasize that.

The Human

Just a thought if this isn't too late: would be a harder than necessary place to try and have a printed accurate mark, way more contours than needed. He'd probably have it on one of his pecs instead of centered. Or just somewhere with smoother/more consistent surface. Presumably why he likes his back for big symbols
