Deathburn

Perry's business turning a profit, while his newfound attunement makes him something of a prophet

Crownfall

All 3 tied together

Eclaire_de_Luune

Bit of B to start, then A, then a bit more B before moving into C

Darune Albane

Agreed but c a then b .. and C can help solidify the 3

Ford-Thomas Frank Loveland

A and C, I love the idea about a surge of new supers coming out of the woodwork after hightide. I'd love for him to recruit some, not just for his team but for his business. Extra points if their powers seem useless but Perry can figure out a way to use it creatively

Ike5421

You should have new supers coming out of wood work and causing problems. Perry figures out how to turn into business opportunity and turns a profit

DrBubblez

All of the above, but mainly B. Also I feel like Perry would see all the new supers popping up as an opportunity to make some bank somehow.

Kabir Kumar

Mix of a and b. More A, with B going to be used towards A

Kabir Kumar

what?? how would attunement make him a prophet?

Osiris

Open plot points as far as I am concerned: His ancestral world(history, magic, native races and family), the origin of powers, replicators, racial subcultures, fighting rings, various bases in different forms(see star wars elephants, orbital station, underwater base), super sports(golf in 4D etc.) and fighting villains. I am too tired to think of more but just the existence of versatile powers makes basically any plot possible.

Deathburn

It was mostly a joke

sata

New superhero takes inspiration from paradox and finds their own way to use their own tinker powers with magic. Threatening perry's control of that market and potentially causing issues for all.

Enzo Elacqua

I’d love more b and c. Personally I love reading about cool magic systems and I feel it’s been a bit unexplored recently

Joe ?

I think c, threatens by a, while b is going on in the background. Also I want perry to start researching a defense against when gerome tried to erase him. That feeling of being cut off from existence and his attunement being cut off. That plus the weird God like tinkering he did with the air and explosions and the wooden wings should be where he starts to peek behind the screen at real power.

Nechochwen

I really want to see Paradox continue to come at free-casting obliquely.

Oth

B and C. I think there has been enough new characters and it might be better to flesh out the ones that have already been introduced.

Kote's chronicles

We have had a few plot lines so far with no huge progression for the MC, I'd like some upgrades weather it be levels, spells, or mimic abilities?

Flogoyog

B and C feel like they should be what perry tries to do while A is what everyone keeps having to deal with.

Kote's chronicles

I'd also like to see our MC solidify his new abilities like the make aerosol and what not. He got them awhile ago and both its ability and gaining of it have kinda been like brief side notes.

FishFace

All his buildings got wrecked the God child, so obviously he has fix that. High tide clean up seems like a big deal as well. Plus I want to see perry countering chemestros growing influence.

Gaunt

Business direction and him getting squeezed by other tinkers for hurting the market

Heedless

Maybe newbie hero? One of the big themes of the work is the corruption inherent in having a group of people who are more powerful than the rest and whose power is indispensable for society’s survival. Having an overzealous or corrupt hero as an antagonist (turning the power of the city against perry, causing excessive collateral damage, highlighting the hypocrisy of the system) wold be an interesting way of exploring that theme.

Metool

Time for some slice of life to consolidate the gains. Maybe some mini adventures of plagius.

Connor Alexander

C, A and B can run in the background but C should be happening with all he’s done.

Erinn M

B and C. Need to flesh out existing characters and Perry needs to grow, not keep getting distracted and running from crisis to crisis

arnumart

I want C because when he starts to make money his family will start to pressure him into getting married and having kids. I demand more drama.

Notcreepycreeper

C, but instead of just making a profit id like to see it be an actual struggle for a bit. Bc even the whole Locust arc just ended with his OP magic industrial construction/industrial constructs taking care of most of the actual economic pains. But this is a city filled with established tinkers, i think seeing more businessy problems/solutions could be interesting. B i feel like is a given bc thats how he’s going to grow more powerful. Nut Id also like to see more ‘plot relevant’ bits through exploration of Attunment on him. But mostly id like to see the plot move forward. Especially as this whole D&D of gods arc has already felt a bit filler-like. We have Chemistro/his dad, Grandma, and solaris in the wings. I feel like im waiting for the other shoe to drop on all of it.

Bradley C

B or C are solid choices. B for crafting fun, C for setting development. A seems like ADHD at this point. Perry needs a break. I’m thinking C with a dash of B over time, an interlude of A followed by the completion of B. A then interferes with C and Perry uses his new soul mods to stomp the noob. Edit: Perry should experiment more with carbon allotropes as it’s the 4th most common element in the universe. Mixing fullerenes and nanotubes into a common resin should cure into a very strong and tough material.

Findell

C, Where he makes Franklin city no longer dependant on Washington for Food. Verical Farms, Daves Poop Grow spell, etc.

Tate Browder

B let’s get the soul going

Josiah Elliott

I hope for B and C, they feel close enough and independent enough that you could make progress on both easily enough.

SunderGoldmane

Sounds like all three make a good story threading. It’s probably more about which one takes the most screen time and which one comes first. If soul magic takes the most screen time and you front load it then you will probably get bored writing the other stuff kinda quick, you will have new magic to play with after all. Readers will probably be chomping at the bit to see it in action as well. How about him turning a profit being the primary grind and in the process of that he has to deal with one or two new amateur villains. Let’s you apply current magic to create wealth and solve one or two temporary problems while building up soul magic in the background for an end of arc fight or some kind of culminating event?

CaptainK-19

Sounds like you’re getting recommendations for everything! What I really enjoy is the Perry/Chemestro contrast, and how they both seem to be pulled from hero/cowl into a middle ground. (Potential team-up, anyone?) New supers in town seem like a great way to explore how each grow and adapt, so A is my vote. (Though I’m impressed with your writing, so I don’t doubt I’ll enjoy diving into any direction.)

Phantom

Perry's business turns a profit and a newbie villain comes to collect what they feel will be an easy score and causes problems for everyone.

Articbezercer

A and C would be nice progression

LucasTheLost

Chemicawhoosis would immediately pounce on someone like that to recruit them.

Earnest

I'd like to see some of C plus him finding a real way to use a ton of money to get stronger (Maybe offer his whole team the minor super strength drug or hire a few people to venture out with plagius and help him on a prawn killing spree or something better.) It also feels like the conflict with chemestro was a highlight that we've been missing for a long time. Maybe Perry can take a bunch of his new money and mass produce cheap suits to sell to the wall in order to gain enough political goodwill to push back against the now anchor chemestro. I mention again that using his attunement to make super coffee seems fun.

LucasTheLost

When Perry first gets back, I would think there'd be a bunch of cleanup from new supers, plus whoever was leaning on his employees. Knock a few of the newbies around, recruit a few of 'em (possible overlap). So a chapter or two of that... then with everything in full swing he realizes just how much money he's making. When he's done being the Emperor of All Salt (that's a grrlpower reference), he gets hit by whoever has been leaning on his employees. Big brouhaha as there's a other big battle with a bunch of disgruntled tinkers that Perry has taken all his profits from. The consortium of disgruntled tinkers just happens to have been heavily Influenced by Chemistro. War by proxy. This settles out with Perry selling his parts to them "at cost" (it's not, but it is 1/10th the price on Tinkers Market). This allows the other tinkers to either straight up under price him, or use those parts to build higher end pieces that sell for a lot more. Force field emitters that Just Won't Melt(rated to 1.21 gigawatts) He can then start pouring his time into research. ANNOUNCER VOICE: But will Perry get far when... Well now, that would be telling! Tune in to our next exciting arc to find out!

Thomas Issa

I would have expect him to have levelled up a lot because he helped get rid of the possibilities of an entire reality, being powerful enough to make solaris concerned would be interesting, also I would expect everyone who did not interact with the sword to lose most if not all memories which would prevent things like his dad being suddenly good at death magic, also Natalie would be able to add soul crafting to tinkering allowing her to vastly differentiate herself from the average tinker, this would culminate (with Natalie’s help) with Perry becoming much more powerful, which would affect his fame wealth and chemistro in very interesting ways

Bradley C

His Tinker specialization would also cause fertilizers he makes to be super effective just like his hamburgers became ambrosia.

SunderGoldmane

I’d love to see chemestro start his own business and become an alchemist of some kind. Maybe he can purify trash product really well because of his super powers. If he started doing that for cash and on a decent scale he could REALLY interfere with Perry’s supply line of power. As far as I know chemestro doesn’t know about the garage perk for trash products so this could be unexpected. Maybe chemestro starts extorting Perry because of it? Or maybe Perry needs to go to chemestro to turn pristine product back into trashy stuff. What if chemestro figured out how to create stuff like aeronite?

SunderGoldmane

It’s been hinted at multiple times now that drainers become highly unstable when they gain large amounts of power very quickly. How about Perry hiring the same counselor/therapist that chemestro uses (completely on accident) for plagius and set him up on a mandatory scheduled visit after every few prawn kills. Could see chemestro crash one of the meetings.

Benjamin Walsh

It’s been fun, but a bit directionless. Would like to see Perry increase his business empire, make some professional inroads and/or work towards advancing his hero ranking.

Tock Blue

B, progress as a hero, and/or Chemestro and other Franklin characters built out with more interactions with Perry. More from the "adults", established supers and the broader world.

STORRM

N, perry and nat work to build better mecha! and they fund it from C .... so C.

JJB4345_80_815

I would like to see Perry using his skills to improve his businesses, or really anything since I love this so far!
