*FINAL BOSS HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

Please Watch the Discussion to the Very End! ^^

Okay, okay, so I was MOST DEFINITELY feeling some type of way this week with the chapter set! On the one hand, we get to the "final boss" battle, full of revelations and some questions FINALLY getting answers! Man, two steps forward and one step back, right?

I have some issues with our poor SQQ being put at fault for all of LBH's issues, but I know Xin Mo is involved and we still have two more chapters for Volume 3 and an ENTIRE volume left to go - so a LOT can happen! Be gentle with me, haha!

Thank you for watching with me and for all the support!

Love the reaction. You don't need to apologize for being harsh with Luo Binghe. I'm pretty sure everyone is when they first read the book. I was honestly terrified of him on this moment when I first read it. To be fair with Luo Binghe though right now. While the story of his parents could be interpreted as "things are not always what they look like" and "there's always another side of the story", if we take into account that Xin Mo was already corrupting him, the only thing he probably took from the story is that his mother chose to take a poison that could kill him to see his father. And yes, we know that she probably wanted to save both of them, but with Binghe's mentality of "nobody ever chooses me", this is just another example of it. In his eyes, his mother chose his father over him. His father wants nothing to do with him. His adoptive mother died. All his life, he feels that he has always been the last choice. Except for Shen Qingqiu, of course. So with all those dark thoughts and all the trauma, it makes sense that Xinmo can control him so easily. What I'm trying to say is that Luo Binghe (and many other characters) need therapy. It makes sense that the system sent Shen Yuan since, from what we know of his past life, he had a pretty good life, all things considered. He is a good choice to help all these people through their issues. He has changed the story so much by just being himself Also, I know that I'm always defending Luo Binghe, but hearing you say he needs to "man the f**k up" is the greatest thing ever. Because it is true. Right now in the story, Luo Bingue does not have any friends (Mobei Jun and the others seem to be there mostly as allies because he is strong); besides Shen Qingqio, I don't think he cares about anyone else. He is a violent, isolated, traumatized man. And I am not blaming Shen Qingqiu for any of that because I think the original was also like that, but instead of isolating himself, the original Luo Binghe surrounded himself with wives and subjects to not be alone. You add an evil sword controlling him and you have the reddest flag of a love interest. He has gone to the point that he does not even care if his shizun is happy. From mxtx other works for example, Hua Cheng may have been jealous, but he would never do anything that hurts Xielian. But Luo Binghe does not care at this point anymore. I see him in this part of the story as being completely in self-destructive and destructive mode. It feels like a regression from the progress of both him and Shen Qingqiu. If anything, I think Mxtx did an amazing job in this book because it shows so well the levels of what trauma can do to a person.

Can't believe we're a week away from finishing book 3! Time flew by! Oh my God, the Shen and Binghe as Ken and Barbie fanart is so good, they completely fit :') For a moment there in Chapter 78, when Tianlang-Jun and Yue Qingyuan "greeted" each other before the latter tried to struck the former, the shipper part of my brain started tingling and the next few lines they exchanged only accentuated the feeling so glad to know I wasn't the only one feeling some kind of tension between those two. Also, I didn't cry the previous times I read the part where TLJ repeats "Truly?" helplessly after learning the truth but this time I did haha had to pause the video to go get a tissue... it's probably hearing it being said outloud (through your narration) that did it for me. Can I say, I loved the second you took to fangirl over Shang Qinghua going to save Mobei-Jun amidst the absolute turmoil you were going through while reading Chapter 79 :') SVSSS really has the power to make one go through a rollercoaster of emotions in a very short time span!

Totally unrelated to the chapter and no spoilers Luo Binghe really is the brattiest of the main characters, and I like him, like despite this side of him he also has a very caring side and is definitely the housewife in this relationship, his relationship with Shen Yuan is like a tsundere x yandere, they are definitely not fit to have children and I say this because of how needy Binghe is... with this in mind on x/twitter we were discussing that if they want to have children like mpreg, Binghe has to be the one who gets pregnant. It was a discussion we talked about the pros and cons between Binghe or Shen Yuan getting pregnant and this would be the best scenario.

I think lbh was listening to the story of his parents but what he took away is his mother would’ve chose his father over having him. Instead of drawing parallels to his own relationship. You’re allow to Feel how you feel about LBH dwell on it and process it. I know my first read through of SV I wasn’t sure is SQQ even loved LBH and I had many negative feelings towards him. Now a days I can appreciate his character although it took me almost two years because I read it by myself. You’re allowing him more grace than I did. I think the narrative knows this isn’t all SQQ’s fault and we the readers know it’s not all his fault. In times of crisis however we can’t help but blame ourselves and wish we’d down things differently. My distant friend committed S* I often reflect on our last conversation or other times before that and wish I had told her something different or done something different so that she might still be here but I have come to accept she was unwell for a long and may but was inevitable. All this to say I don’t think MXTX blames SQQ I think SQQ blames himself. SQH and Mobei-Jun really are interesting characters in their own right. And this is roughly when I started shipping them. Ahh yes Yue Qingyuan’s death we finally have the full cause of LBH chopping up SJ’s legs and using him to lure YQY to come save him. I love how the original goods haunts the narrative. We can’t go a few chapters with out mentioning him because of the impact he left on this world only to die early to a qi deviation. I haven’t touched on SXY and TLJ I love how sad it is. At the truth he can only go up to every to confirm what he’s been told. That child LBH is just like both of his parents and his cousin without even being raised by them. He has his father’s maiden heart. His cousins desire to repay people back. As for his mother it seems to me with the information we have so far their lives parallel each other. So in the original work LBH conquered his “inner demons” (Xin Mo) and was able to use it to rise in the world. In this world LBH has been lost to his inner demons. But then again what sane man cleaves two dimensions together because he was annoyed. (This is a joke) could we have conflict if everyone acted their age? Also yes LBH is the brattiest of the MXTX six.

LBH really embodied the “you know other men?” Meme in this chapter. :P Also the use of the word Hard rather than Difficult, I’m pretty sure the translators knew exactly what they were doing there XD Your frustration with LBH here is valid. We’ve been seeing just how much SQQ cares for him throughout the story after all, and especially so in recent chapters. I can kinda get why LBH feels this way though. From his perspective, SQQ’s behavior is very contradictory. He was such a kind teacher to him, but then threw him into the abyss (an action that SQQ has never properly explained to him). He seemed to fear/hate LBH when they met in Jinlan city, but was then willing to die for him. He was so angry at LBH for taking him away from the sect and isolating him, but then still carried him through the mausoleum. Granted, some of this ‘hot and cold’ behavior is absolutely LBH’s fault due to how he treats SQQ. But I also can’t really blame LBH for being worried that SQQ’s current affections will be taken back at some point. A lot of the stuff that happened between SQQ and LBH really exacerbated LBH’s abandonment issues, I think. (All unintentional on SQQ’s part of course, but it still happened) And I’m sure that makes it easy for Xin Mo to get in there and stoke LBH’s darkest impulses. Sorry that bit of lore was kinda spoiled for you btw. It probably would have had a much bigger impact if you’d only learned about the full extent of Xin Mo’s powers in these chapters.

Mobei-jun protecting Shang Qinghua always makes me smile, especially because he just launches him back at Shen Qingqiu to keep him safe 😆 The first of Mo Xiang Tong Xiu's sexual swordplay! 😅 The sword jumping inch by inch out of its sheath brings to mind Pei Ming pressing E'Ming to Xie Lian's lips in order to make it grow 🤣 Zhuzhi-lang's struggle after Luo Binghe asks if they should kill Tianlang-jun always breaks my heart 🥺 He just wants to protect his uncle. And you can fully understand why he follows Tianlang-jun and wants to protect him when you learn his backstory. Yet again Mo Xiang Tong Xiu makes the villains understandable through providing a glimpse into the kind of life they led. And we get more heartbreak with the truth surrounding Tianlang-jun, Su Xiyuan, and Luo Binghe 💔 I'd say that the Old Palace Master's lies and deception that led to the sealing of Tianlang-jun is almost on par with the careless and wanton acts of Jin Guangshan in Mo Dao Zu Shi. Which, in my mind, also makes it quite fitting for the Old Palace Master to have appeared in those golden robes in the donghua (back when he appeared to be a kindly grandfather of a Cultivator). Romania: Why are we doing this?? Because Mo Xiang Tong Xiu said we can't have nice things 😢 But hey, for once it's Luo Binghe who makes us want to grab him and shake instead of Shen Qingqiu 😅 Definitely not how I predicted Yue Qingyuan's sword would be fully revealed. But I do enjoy it because it gave me Shang Qinghua going off to rescue Mobei-jun 🥺 Luo Binghe and Shen Qingqiu in that moment just cause me too much pain so I will happily ignore them in favour of Shang Qinghua and Mobei-jun 😆 Your reaction to the reveal of Qi-ge was so good 😁 Now I feel safe in saying the "ge" part of Qi-ge I believe is not like the 'ge' in Liu Qingge's name. Instead I believe it is a shortened form of "gege" and therefore denoting that Qi-ge is Shen Jiu's "older brother" as it were (in this case brotherly bond rather than familial relation). I can't remember if we've been told the age of Liu Qingge and Shen Qingqiu to know if the latter calls the former 'shidi' because Liu Qingge is younger than him, or just calls him that because he entered the sect after Shen Qingqiu. When reading I assumed Liu Qingge being younger than Shen Qingqiu and therefore crossed him off the potential list of 2Who is Qi-ge?" but your reasoning for Liu Qingge potentially being Qi-ge seemed pretty sound and plausible too. But it's heart-breaking to think that the one Yue Qingyuan's words are actually for (Shen Jiu) is no longer present to hear them 😭 For just two chapters they're definitely both a doozy! Don't blame you needing a moment after reading all that. Also with the 100% completion of so many stories it definitely seems like the System feels a number of parts have been completely fulfilled. I did laugh at you saying you didn't think this will be like Return of the King 😂 I really do blame the other two Mo Xiang Tong Xiu works for making you so suspicious of Yue Qingyuan's deeds and words. She taught you with MDZS and TGCF to be untrusting of the quiet, seemingly kind, and powerful character 🤣 Thank you Romania!!! I no longer feel bad that Shang Qinghua, when talking about Tianlang-jun, saying "He is hard" made my NSFW brain go 😏 Also laughed so hard at your inner Shen Qingqiu coming into play with that mini rant about Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky 🤣 Can easily picture Shen Qingqiu having the same outburst if Shang Qinghua didn't disappear to go save Mobei-jun. The difference I find with the times Lan Wangji was jealous about Wei Wuxian's attention being on someone else (be that the ghost girls, or that time with Wen Ning when Lan Wangji is drunk), is that he doesn't want to destroy the things that capture Wei Wuxian's attention so that the only thing he can focus on is Lan Wangji. I personally think jealousy doesn't have to be red flag behaviour, its when that jealousy turns into a partner wanting to use controlling behaviour on their partner (which is what Luo Binghe basically says he wants to do) that raises the red flag. The only issue I'd have with comparing Luo Binghe with Lan Wangji is that their upbringings were very different. Lan Wangji was cared for and supported by his Clan during his formative years, though there was the brushing off of not giving him any answers regarding his mother and father's past/not speaking about his mother after her death. Luo Binghe did not get the same kind of care and support during his formative years, until Shen Yuan transmigrated. But given the whole Abyss situation, it's understandable that it would be hard for anyone to focus only on the good parts Luo Binghe had with Shen Qingqiu. Lan Wangji also, through the Lan Clan's teachings and many, many rules, was taught restraint. He was taught to restrain his emotions, his thoughts, and his actions. Luo Binghe was never taught anything like that and so I can understand why he'd then have more difficulty fighting off the effects of Xin Mo's control, and fighting off the impulse to carry out the dark thoughts in his head regarding Shen Qingqiu. I'm with you on hating couples where one partner controls who the other can see/spend time with. Several of my friends dated people like that, and each time I told them what was happening and they needed to tell their partner they didn't have the right to dictate that aspect of their life. And if they were too timid or scared to speak up to their partner then I offered to do it for them as I can be okay with those kinds of confrontations, just I'd prefer they be able to work out between themselves, than a third party getting involved.

Thank you for the comment and kind words - yeah, I feel I’m going to be harsh with LBH but that’s just from my experience and tastes in romantic characters, haha! I just don’t like the idea that “The reason LBH is the way he is these chapters is Xin Mo” - that comes across as lazy writing to me, and doesn’t do MXTX justice as a writer, in my opinion. Or at least, that is my view of when SQQ tries to calmly and rationally explain to LBH and he completely disregards his Shizun; again, I get that Xin Mo is clouding a lot of his judgment, but considering MXTX hasn’t really developed a lot of Xin Mo until this very moment, it feels a bit of a plot convenience for me as the reader. And yes, I am FULLY aware LBH needs therapy, haha! And I talk about that in the discussion, but I know that there’s no “therapy” in this world - still, SY is not his therapist, and that’s unfair to put that burden on him as a partner. It’s not a healthy message for relationships to the reader, in my personal opinion. I cringed when I edited and heard my “man up” spiel, because I knew people would come for me with that line, but seriously, LBH needs to be more considerate of those around him, especially ones offering him help, like SQQ. And THAT line “He’s gone to the point he does not even care if his Shizun is happy’ is my main thing. THAT. Trauma does not mean you get to pass that trauma onto others - that’s the WHOLE message of the story MXTX is telling us, and we should not be happy with LBH’s choices in this moment. I agree, he’s self-destructive and it’s a regression, but I don’t think we should go, “Aww, LBH is just traumatized, it’s not his fault.” No, MXTX is telling us the problem with trauma, but I also think it’s a statement that LBH has a long ways to go. Thanks for the comment and support!

Time has honestly flew by with this third volume! Oohhh, you know, TLJ and YQY is a ship I never considered, but I kind of get it! Haha! Definitely some tension! I really did feel for TLJ and his realization in these chapters; I’m glad my reading helped with that, so thank you so much for the compliment! SQH will never fail to get me riled up as a fangirl, that’s for sure! 😀Thank you so much for the comment, kind words, and support!

Oh yes, I agree that LBH is the brattiest of the MC’s - and he is caring - maybe I’m just not a yandere-enjoyer in my romances. DEFINITELY NOT FIT FOR CHILDREN - LBH is a child in himself at times, and I just cannot - I need him to be an adult for his Shizun in a relationship. Otherwise, it comes across as SQQ taking care of him like a child, which is a little ick for me. Right now, I would not support kids until LBH becomes more of an adult role. Thanks for the comment!!

I can totally see that’s what LBH did, too; it’s just very frustrating, when you can see the message of the story so clearly from the viewer’s side but the character can’t “get it.” I honestly am a little tired of everyone telling me to “process LBH and I’ll like him more.” It almost makes me want to cry, because - why can’t it be that I get it with him, but I just don’t like him? It does feel invalidating of my opinion because people are saying that “I’ll change my mind” - what if I don’t? And I get the “times of crisis,” But that does not excuse LBH for taking everything out on SQQ, and if he *learned* from this experience and grew from it, I would be accepting of that, but I’ve yet to see it. I am so sorry that your friend did that and you were involved with it - I can definitely see that SQQ blames himself. But he shouldn’t HAVE TO - trauma - in LBH’s case - does not mean you get to put that burden on others. That is selfish and unhealthy - I guess, if it were real life, I wouldn’t recommend they be in a relationship, but instead take steps back and communicate through it first, but this story amps up everything to an extreme and there’s no time for that. I definitely want to know more about SQH and MBJ because I would love to ship them as well! YQY’s death is TRAUMATIC, especially knowing how he was “lured” there. 🙁 And yeah, LBH’s parents, all the tragic backstories! But yes, LBH is a brat, and maybe that’s why he’s my least favorite. I’m in my mid-30s and I just don’t have room in my fantasy romances for brats, especially when they’re adults. But we’ll see where it goes! Thanks for the comment!

HA! That meme definitely feels appropriate for these chapters! Ah, that translation could have been intentional, hahaha! I can understand how SQQ seems contradictory, but knowing that he premeditated a lot of this, that makes sense but is also really heartbreaking - you supposedly love this man, but you didn’t trust him so you let a sword take you over? That’s…a really dumb idea, LBH! I agree, SQQ needed to explain the abyss, but how could he? Now, to SQQ’s credit, Ning YingYing explained the whole JinLan city thing to LBH, so if our boy was too dense to get it then, that’s on LBH. And actions speak louder than words, but…LBH seems to not get that in the mausoleum scene. AND YES, I think people forget that LBH is not an “innocent lamb” - he’s the cause of a lot of this behavior and SQQ HAS told him so on occasion! WILL SAY though, the jealousy that SQQ’s affections are going to be “taken away” - regardless of his abandonment issues (YES unintentional on SQQ’s part) - I HATE when partners are so jealous they can’t trust their partner around other people. I’ve seen it in real life; it’s toxic, it’s not healthy, and you should not be in a relationship with someone that is like that. SO, when LBH started doing that, granted Xin Mo has taken over a lot, but those impulses were always there, and that was a sign these two need to separate a while and figure things out. But this story isn’t going to give them that chance and it’s frustrating. I think in MXTX’s future works, especially MDZS, she lets her characters have those breathing moments, and it makes for a better relationship - here, instead of doing the smart thing and letting these characters get some distance and talk it out, she forces them into a padded room - which…while I originally said I wanted them to do that, I now realize that’s not the best course of action. Anyway, thank you for the comment and kind words! I really like how you explained a lot in this comment and agree with a lot of it!

I really do like the relationship we CAN see so far with MBJ and SQH - it definitely makes me want to know more about it, which I’m hoping we get in Volume 4! Man, MXTX “teased us” with that swordplay of YQY - it ALL started here! XD I thought the use of YQY’s sword and the way his identity as Qi-ge was revealed worked really well and was heartbreaking! Ahhh, that also makes MUCH more sense with the “Ge” part of it now; thanks for telling me that! I’m also glad that YQY wasn’t the villain, but YES! MXTX decided to go full on in on that in her later works! Haha! And yes, poor ZZL just wanted to protect TLJ - I always appreciate gray villains and this series…has a lot of them! Hahaha! Well, except maybe the OPM, but they got their just desserts. I did feel for the story of LBH’s family - SQH, why you writing the most tragic family EVER!? HA! MXTX won’t let us have nice things, for SURE! I should have known the “quick ending” sounded too good to be true! What a last set of chapters, though! I DEFINITELY feel I channeled SQQ these chapters, so I’m glad you appreciated that. YES – that is so true about LWJ and how he can be jealous but doesn’t want to destroy or hurt WWX because of it. But yes, when jealousy turns controlling, I have a problem with it! Obviously, the upbringing plays a role, but I don’t believe that trauma gives you a “greenlight” to be a bad person and it be “accepted.” I get why LBH would be that way and it’s understandable, but I still don’t like it. But I’m also glad you understand and have seen couples where the partner controls who they see and what they do - it’s gross and I hate it. It's not healthy and I just hope that LBH can get to a point where he understands SQQ can HAVE FRIENDS - dear lord - and that he doesn’t have to spend every waking second with LBH if he doesn't want to. Thanks for the comment!

When I say dwell and process your emotions, thoughts, feelings, etc. on LBH I don’t mean you’ll change your mind. My intent was different but I can definitely see why it came across as you’ll eventually like him. Rather you may after going through it you might come out still disliking LBH and that’s still valid. I like LBH as a character but not as a person. It’s taken me two years to come to terms with that and hey sometimes there’s days where I really don’t like the dynamic and some days where I love them. I think my intent was these last chapters leave such a big impact emotionally on people that you should take time for yourself. Oh I was talking about LBH at all when I was talking about reactions during “times of crisis” LBH is the crisis. I was talking about SQQ’s reaction to LBH, the crisis(lol just came back to add this). SQQ doesn’t have to blame himself he could say it’s not my responsibility and cut lbh off. LBH is definitely a selfish and unhealthy person to be around. I’ll come back to the take steps back in the next video when it’s relevant and I can talk about the end of book 3.

Thank you for clarifying and for your kind words - I can definitely understand you liking him as a character but not a person - right now, it's hard for me to separate that distinction, I suppose - and you are correct, maybe time will grant me that ability. I find this story, because I love it so much, it has me emotional and really puts me through the wringer -- I know that this next week and at least one other chapter set I've read so far, have REALLY tested me in terms of my anger, sadness, and frustration - and they are very "in the moment" so I hope to get some time to reflect in between them and I'm sorry if I'm very emotional in the weeks to come; it's because I love this story that it drives me that way! And ahh, that makes sense with the time of crisis as well -- I wish SQQ could just tell LBH that it's not his responsibility, too. But he loves LBH and it pains me to see LBH not realize what SQQ is doing for him. But yeah, onward and upward to the next set! Thank you so much!
