LMAOOO- listen I went from liking our main leads to loving themmm. 💕 There's so much to talk about and it felt right to have brunch with this discussion. I was only 5 minutes in when the notification hit. 😆 Dropped everything and ran to it! There's a number of points I'm glad we touched on. Like you said Kurosawa is not perfect. Even an ace has his days. I like that the show addressed that as soon as it did. It leads to more moments where they can rely (Adachi & him) on one another. Kudos for Adachi for using his power for good! He could easily abuse it & yet he never does nor does so for any malicious intentions. It was soo cool to see him save Kurosawa from a pinch. I will say I wish the company would appreciate Adachi more 😭 Side note: Magenta Glasses is such a hoot & I'm glad to see a man be all for that kiss too. 😂 Is this my rep?? AHDJFJFJF- I'll take it. ❤️ So going back to the beginning.. yeah I didn't think Tsuge's advice was too sound haha. I took it as something he'd do in Adachi's place and wasn't exactly taken account of both of their history/dynamic. For a romance novelist his apartment is niceeee. I would definitely like to know more of his works. We see him work on something later in the episode. In that regard, he reminds me of Nozaki-kun. 😆 The rooftop scene was beautifully animated and they went all out with the hair flowing in the wind. It's so extra I can't. 🤭 Bonus point I wanna make... hey! That old man might be onto something when it comes to sales. We cannot talk about a deal without some cake/sweets right? 😊 I can't imagine being served Madeleines over a shortcake either. 🤣 No but seriously, what a handsome man! I hope to see him again. Alas, we didn’t get a name. 😔 Plsss show please. 🙏 Was this just the show sending me an angel from heaven just for me? Eeee- *cough* *cough* moving on. Okay the last two points is the whole "power" of a 30 year old virgin. You might not come across many who fit that description (idk I'll reach that demographic in 5 years LOL. No experience club is open absjfjfjf) So yeah, I wonder if Adachi's friend was given a power as well we just don't know yet. Orrr is this just something Adachi could acquire because of his family? Lots of theories to ponder. Now the last thing is the implications that Kurosawa might also be able to read minds? Maybe that moment where he holds his hand & "answers" Adachi is meant to throw us off..? I can't really tell. I guess we'll get answers as we go lol. It's been awesome tagging along each ep with you & I can't wait to see what next week will have in store!

I just adore the idea of Adachi going to Tsuge for advice because he's a romance novelist. It's another character trait I love in this BL that we have a romance novelist like Tsuge who doesn't have any personal experience with sexual relationships. Definitely made me think of some AO3 authors too 😂 It also helps explain somewhat on why his advice to Adachi is so bad. Like a lot of the actions characters take in romance novels are definitely not ones you'd want to take in real life, and a lot of Tsuge's advice are things that might pop up in said novels. But I love that out of all the bits of advice Tsuge gave him, the one Adachi thought about most was also the one piece of advice that was actually good of Tsuge to impart. Gotta love Adachi's thoughts go from considering his feelings about Kurosawa to full on going into fantasy mode of how the breakfast scene could have ended if they'd been dating 🤣 Poor CEO just needed the sugar rush 😂 It definitely adds hilarity to the situation for this grumpy old man to be craving cake. Yay! You love Magenta Glasses Guy as much as me 😆 Damn Kurosawa turning a moment like a forced kiss into such a sweet action with the forehead kiss instead 🥺 He's not only increasing my standards for men in real life, but also heightening my expectation of other characters in other BLs 😆 The shock on your face at the progress we got on just Episode 2 did make me giggle. But woohoo for communication about the near-kiss! 🥳 The water bottle dropping also gave me such Doukyuusei vibes too! 🥰 Eeeep. The cost of that bookshelf? 😵 Honestly this is why I'm glad to have family members who can make things. I just have to pay for the cost of the materials and something towards labour costs for getting handmade shelving units and things. Though my Granda did also gift me a cabinet for my tenth birthday that has glass shelves, and glass and oak doors. I still have it and it has managed to stay in one piece through six moves, which I feel further highlights how good in quality and craftmanship it is. I did not expect the Psycho-Pass madeleines to get brought up in Cherry Magic 🤣 There are a couple of good apps for translating signs and things from hiragana/kanji into English. Google Translate is honestly not too bad. But you definitely need to take a picture in order to translate it as the live translate tool is not the greatest, especially when it comes to katakana. For visiting Japan though it would really just be outside of Tokyo you might need it for the signs, as pretty much everywhere I went in Tokyo had the signs in English too. Kurosawa's hand over Adachi's was so incredibly intimate. Especially with his voice deepening as he thought about taking his time with Adachi 😍 So so glad you're enjoying this series so far! Looking forward to more fantastic reactions 😁

It’s nice to ramble about this show every week. 😊 Ah, about the bookcase. A good bookshelf here in the states must be super pricey nationwide. Even where I’m at. (East Coast) I definitely looked into custom with some craft peeps and they easily go over 1200. They’re definitely worth it but I’m no millionaire 😭 I definitely wish I had family or friends who could make stuff like that with a lot of care in their craft. Definitely gonna set some money aside over time. And I’m glad to see someone else mention the CEO!! Isn’t he the cutest? 😆 Why would anyone assume he didn’t like sweets? 🥹 I wonder if he’s already spoken for. 🤔 No, but seriously this was a great episode

Loved the reaction and discussion! I think on the channel maybe the 'main series' of Sasaki & Miyano was the most recent (3 whole years ago! 😭). And hey, there’s always BL that’s BL! 😂 The progressive dissection of Tsuge’s nonsense was so funny: “Tsuge is terrible! Don’t take advice from him!” 😂 The main thing I really loved in this episode was Adachi’s treatment of Kurosawa even though internally Adachi was Going Through It. Adachi was feeling really uncertain and trying to figure things out, he’d been advised by his friend to do various nonsense so those things were in his head, as well, etcetc. But in the first moment where he felt like he could help Kurosawa, he did not hesitate. Sweet (struggling) bean. 🥰 And madeleines always catching strays – as is deserved. 🤣 Cannot wait for next week! 🍒

Tsuge is very "questionable" but I'm curious about their character in this series! And yesssss, not only the madeleines catching strays, but I love that Adachi cannot resist being a SWEET BEAN - I love him! Thank you and I cannot wait to see how episode 3 turns out!! :D

Hahahaha, fill the coffee mug, because YES! 😛I’m here for it! I love them both already, too! I’m glad the show addressed Kurosawa’s flaws this early as well! And Adachi is the sweetest bean! I love how kind-hearted he truly is! Yes, the company needs to appreciate him more! Magenta Glasses is my favorite side character now! Hahah I would take it! And ooh that’s a great point about Tsuge’s advice showing what HE would do and how he’s so different from Adachi. But yeah, what kind of smut is he writing to get that apartment?! Are we talking 50 Shades of Gray worthy?! I could see that tie to Nozaki-kun - that’s a cool comparison! That rooftop scene was breathtaking! So extra and ALREADY! It’s only episode 2, show! I love on Discord into the CEO you were! Get that! XD I wonder too if Adachi’s “family” just has this power, like the Turning Red movie or if anyone who gets to that point has the potential for a power as well…I guess we’ll see! I do see that it could be with Kurosawa that the moment is to throw us off as well - I’m not sure either, but I’m excited to see what the show gives us in the future! Yessss, the romance novels don’t always match the reality of romance, right? And yes, at least ONE piece of Tsuge’s advice was good for Adachi! Adachi already fantasizing what his dating life could be like with Kurosawa? SIR. I love that “needing cake” was a plot point - at least it helped Adachi score points and win favor back with Kurosawa! YES! Magenta Glasses is my favorite side character so far! Kurosawa is working his way up for me to with the expectations and the standards he’s setting! 100% agree! And yes, leave it to a BL or yaoi to give us ACTUAL relationship progression! Glad someone else gets the Doukyuusei vibes! Ooohh right?! The bookshelf cost SHOCKED me when he told me it. I made my parents a bookshelf as a final project in my shop class - so I could maaaaybe do another now, but that shelf took a whole semester to make, haha! I love your Grandfather gifted you a cabinet! That’s really nice! That’s amazing it’s held together! MADE WITH LOVE! I will not turn down the chance to reference Psycho Pass! ;) That is great to note about the signs as well! Thank GOODNESS in the major cities there are at least English signs as well!
