This episode is so cool. I loved seeing Okabe actually reaching out to Mr. Braun, even though he is terrified, and the way he handled it was so good. He has all this trauma from the original Steins Gate, yes, but he also grew as a character and he carries that with him into this show as well, which I appreciate a lot. Seeing Okabe have flashbacks and panic attacks because of the recent attack, though, is not so fun. I'm glad Daru was there to help him and for Okabe to lean in. Actually, Daru has been a great shoulder to lean in for Okabe through this whole show so far. He's been helping him with Suzuha and then Kaguri, and now he even helped Okabe explain to everyone about why they couldn't tell the police about the attack. He's a great friend, and I feel like I appreciate him more with every episode. The higlight of the episode is, of course, Okabe seeing Kurisu again, because he didn't have enough trauma already xD I'm sure that seein actually-alive Kurisu again won't mess him up psychologically at all, surely not. Poor Ruka, though, you're right. I understand how it's a comfort for Okabe to keep him outside of the whole madness and keep a point of stability in his life, and it might even be a little safer for Ruka this way. But I also think that Ruka has a right to wonder and even demand answers, if he wasn't so selfless. Because this is something that does concern him, and while it's sweet of him to help Okabe this way, he would also not be wrong in demanding some answers and to be a part of it all. It's a complicated situation, for sure, and one that Suzuha, as you pointed out, is not helping at all to. Next episode is sure to live up to the standards of the rule of 8, though, and I'm super excited about that.

The way that we tied back in Okabe and Mr. Braun’s conversation with what we know from the OG SG is WILD. I love that Okabe grew in that moment to have that dialogue. But yeah, this show is out to torture him, for SURE. At least Daru was a support in that moment, indeed. And yeah, Daru proves his friend status in this show! I feel for Ruka, too. They deserve so much better overall! *hugs them* And yeah, I like Suzuha, but she does a good job of creating issues on her own, as well! WHAT A CLIFFHANGER - I was so thrown off by her just…BEING THERE. Questioning reality for sure! The Rule of 8 has not let me down yet, so we shall see! Thank you for the comment!
