That was absolutely a blast of a reaction and discussion Episodes 9-10 were absolutely AMAZING.. The shock that I felt when the reveal of Unahana true identity were shown in the manga is indescribable Her, the soft spoken healer, the reassuring presence filled with gentleness and safety, turns out to be the most notorious criminal in a previous chapter of her life And not only that . But Zaraki Kenpachi’s idol Just how crazy is that?? At first they seem to be like day and night, too different to mesh… But in reality, they are just the same but with a different layer each.. the core is identical The fact that she felt that she is on borrowed time since she met as a kid is just heartbreaking and heartwarming for me for different reasons Heartwarming because she found someone she could pass the torch too willingly, to fulfill what she thinks is her duty and wish , to nurture him and makes him the stronger version of kenpachi he could be Heartbreaking, because there can’t be 2 Kenpachis at the same time … and for all this time, they were the kenpachi, but also weren’t at the same time. Because a half kenpachi is not a real kenpachi… And she lived with the guilt and burden of knowing that her weakness made Zaraki the weaker version of what he could be .. that he should have killed her in their first encounter and enherit the title of kenpachi … for a fighter like Unohana that lived by the sword law .. that is a deep cut that could not heal.. you cruel man Kubo And God how terrifying was Unohana is this fight, she showed us why she was the 1st kenpachi.. her stance, her voice, her demeanor, her eyes … everything changed in Yachiro mode.. I ship Zaraki and unohana, but in my eyes, Zaraki has a one sided crush on her and she is indulging his crush like a junior with a tantrum 😂 he is the only man that brought her joy and fulfilled her desire of fight someone equal or even stronger… and she is the only one that put him in his place … kinky stuff 😂 But that fondness in her eyes while looking at him and his anguished screams and begging for her not to die, definitely makes me think there was something akin to feelings at some point in their time in the Seireitei as captains Ok you needn’t put the knife deeper reminding me Kon arrived at the real palace before Aizen … my poor king lost to a stuffed animal 😭😭😭😂😂😂 Not a fan of Kon either.. the jokes aren’t always my cup of tea and sometimes give me the ick.. Next week is THE WEEK. Same to you, my favorite arc of TYBW in the manga .. can’t wait to watch your reaction next Wednesday 🥳🥳🥳 Studio Pierrot thank you for animating the hell out of that fight.. you did it justice as Unohana deserved Again thank you for the live anime/manga analysis … it’s great idea..

Thank you so much for the kind words and comment!! Unohana’s reveal and the chapters that followed were SUCH a shock to the fandom, even if people had suspected something was “up” with her! XD And her being Kenpachi’s idol? Icing on the cake! Yes, the core being “identical!” 😀 Heartbreaking and Heartwarming describe this battle so well! I felt for her, so this anime adaptation helped me to see how she wanted to move on much better, but yeah, Kubo is CRUEL. The animation lived up to my expectations and THEN SOME for this fight - her voice acting?! INCREDIBLE. I definitely agree Zaraki has a one-sided crush and she’s indulging him; not that it’s a bad thing! ;) Kinky potential INDEED and the reverse age gap; rejoice, fandom! XD I agree; at the very least, she cared for him. Yes, the King of Shinigami, Aizen, lost to a stuffed animal…Kubo really is wild for some of these twists! XD And yes, Kon is not my cup of tea, either. The audacity! Oohhhh, I have to gear up for what’s to come!! SO EXCITED! You all probably have an idea of how much hahaha!!
