*TRAINING DAY HEADPHONE WARNINGS*

Rudo learns the "Ground Rules" from Enjin this episode, and is assigned a "trainer" to help him learn how to control his newly awakened "powers," but will he and his "trainer" see eye-to-eye, or immediately butt heads? This episode was WILD and I'm hooked on this series, already!

The fanfics for this show are great. Lots of 'soul sex' and 'vital instruments resonating/sharing' If you binged the show, I would completely understand. ZanZan is definitely green. He's also my fav. Ep 3 is when I finally 'got into it' as far as the show goes. Zanka definitely needs a more age-appropriate crush.

ZANKAAAA I love you you big dumbasssss. He is my favorite character, I think. There is a lot of characters I like, but If I would have to choose one, then I think I would choose Zanka or at least he would be in the top3. One thing I really love about Gachiakuta's worldbuiling is that that I think the author (miss Kei Urana) is trying to mirror how our world works, especially currently in the era of consumptionism. At least that is my own observation. We have a Sphere, where people lives, that is basically above the ground. In the Sphere people live in prosperous city (tho there are also sulms) and they do not value things and instead of repairing old ones they throw them away and buy new ones constantly. And they do not care about what happens to those "trash". And this trash is thrown away into a place where other people lives, who had to deal with it and with the consequences of it pilling up and polluting the whole environment. And that happens in real world, too. We have whole "trash islands" out there, progressing pollution of the whole environment, including still and running water, food and air. And its mostly poor people that have to deal with these things, because people who are more wealthy and/or lives in a more "civilised" places/countries have a privilage to not caring about anything that happens (mostly). A lot of places in a world are starting to drown in trash, especially third world countries, have to deal with polluted rivers, deal with forest/field fires, no access to propel healthcare that could help with diseases caused by it etc. I think Gachiakute does a good work with showing it through unaware, priveliged people living in a Sphere, and Ground people building their own culture and civilisation over dealing with a consequences of it. And as I mentioned before, there is big anti consumptionism/anti capitalism message in it about reusing, repairing and recycling things instead of throwing and buying new ones. I also love the symbolicism of thrash beasts and vital instuments when it comes to it. The style in manga remainds be both of Atsushi Ohkubo and a little bit of Kouhei Horikoshi. I think in anime its less visible but when I was reading the manga now it reminded me not only of Soul Eater but Boku no Hero Academia, too! I really love its artstyle, its so good in showing both action and emotions. The moment when Rudo tried to deescalate situation with Zanka and his talk with Regto reminded me a little bit of one of my favourite quotes from HunterxHunter from literally the first episode. Itw as something like "If you really want to understand someone/connect with someone, firstly you have to understand their anger" I think it works wonderfully in every part of life and we could also see it there. In the manga volumes there are short bios of characters with their ages. I do not really think its a spoiler if its from the bio and not the actual manga panel (because I think if the age would be spoiler or plot/revelant it wouldnt just put in bio but instead we would get to know about it from manga panels itself). Would you like to know the ages of the main four we know now or not really? I really like how usage of power is showns in Gachiakuta, where both the vital instrument and eyes of a character glows in the same color. I love that concept in fiction for real! It also makes the characters kind of color coded which is cute. Cant wait for the next episode!

Oh ho ho, I had not considered all of those “elements” of the fan fiction, but that sounds…interesting! And Zanka is such a cool character, though, and I can’t wait to see more of him! Thank you for the comment!! Let’s hope he gets over his crush on Enjin and finds someone for him!

Zanka is so much fun so far!! I can’t wait to get more into his character in this series! And yes, world building is a lot of fun so far – I definitely have talked a LOT about overconsumption and go into detail with what you talk about here in my discussions with all three episodes so far, so I hope you get a chance to listen to them and my observations as we go through the series. 🙂 I think I’ll hold off on the character ages for now, but at the end of the season I might ask the mods to let me know them, or as we get closer! Thanks so much for the comment and I hope you enjoy the future reactions and discussions!
