The mangaka gives us anything BUT, as Sawamura and Miyuki's relationship hits new Shojo-levels of angst and the cards are all stacking up for QUITE the final match with our boys! I may need a break to catch my breath before this next cour!

Okay im finally feeling strong enough to make this last comment for the cour lol As far as doing the final in 13 episodes, I think the game itself is possible but the extras wouldnt be. And especially if theyre also going to animate the Ugumori/Teitou game. I dont think all of that would fit in 13 and though I guess they could put that one in an OVA, theyve never really put a game in an OVA for this series so I dont know. I think the shitty thing about this whole miscommunication is the timing of it mixed with Sawamuras insecurity already. Like I feel like he was feeling so good coming off the semi finals, feeling confident, but then his natural insecurity hit and thats why Miyukis conversation with Furuya was really able to get in and do some damage to him mentally. Its heartbreaking but they did animate the staircase scene soooo well. His dead eyes as he sits there broke my heart. Im so glad its the first years that found him. They were sooo worried but I think them not knowing Sawamura had the yips is actually super helpful because while they were worried, they werent YIPS worried like the third or second years wouldve been. I love how endlessly sunshine Sawamura is compared to Mei. I feel like we could talk for days about their core differences and why theyre so different but the same as well lol. You can absolutely tell that Mei is the youngest child of 2 older sisters lmao i wouldve believed he was an only child as well but youngest child makes so much sense. Youngest child and only boy. I love how endlessly amused by Mei Carlos is lol. Like hes so chill he doesnt care at all that his ace is such a brat. Carlos joined a team of divas and loves it. I always kind of wonder if Mei STILL wishes Miyuki had gone to Inashiro or if hes happy he didnt. Cuz if Miyuki had gone to Inashiro, he wouldnt have been the main catcher right away like he was at Seidou. He only became main catcher so fast because Chris hurt himself but if he went to Inashiro, Harada wouldve been main catcher for 2 years. Itsuki wouldnt have been main catcher until Miyuki and Mei both graduated. Mochis genuine concern for Sawamura always hurts me so much. Like he wants to fix it but doesnt know how and Sawamura refuses to just say whats happening. And he never does! Its so annoying lol. I feel like giving us that special PTSD ending with the original Seidou/Inasiro game ending was cruel lmao. I didnt need to see them all heartbroken again. With Miyukis thoughts about going pro, I think hes always been determined to go pro, always knew he would go pro, but didnt want to distract anyone else on the team. Thats why he refused to say anything when they asked him before if he had a team he wanted to go to. He knew that if he talked about what team he was hoping for, it would distract everyone else AND make it seem like he wasnt focused on the current team. But after Noris bombshell, he was genuinely just curious if anyone else wasnt thinking about the pros. Furuya just happened to be with him when he thought about it. Also, the scene with Asou and Zono, its basically just that Kataoka heard there was something going on with Zono and Asou so he called them to his office to ask if there were going to be any issues during the final. The subtitles for that scene were kinda weird. Theres no big mystery of how they talked about it that comes up later or anything lol. Other than the subtitles, that scene plays exactly as it does in the manga. He just wanted to know if they were good to play in the finals or if their issues (Zonos foot and Asous breakup) were going to cause problems later. Both of them said no, and that theyd be fine by the finals so they left. Everything was just worded weirdly lol Man i cant wait for the next cour for so many reasons but im also really nervous. October here we come!

Yay! I’m glad you’re ready for the comment! Yeah, that makes sense with the extras – maybe they’ll make some OVA’s for the extra game? They’ve at least done OVA’s before so if they did one or two, that would be cool! And yessss, mixing the miscommunication with Sawamura’s insecurity and timing is so true – it’s so sad to see! That said, the staircase scene is SO WELL DONE! And yessss, the first years not having knowledge of Yips!Sawamura (we NEVER need to return there) is very important to how they react to him. I do agree, Mei and Sawamura are similar but SO SO different! I really agree, there’s so much to say about them! And Mei SO gives off youngest sibling vibes! Carlos is so chill and fun, especially when he gets to soak it in around a bunch of divas! :3 I think Mei is resentful still that Miyuki didn’t choose his team, but may have jumped on board with being excited to “beat” Miyuki. And yeah, what a competition it would have been against Harada and Miyuki and then Poor Itsuki…definitely better Miyuki didn’t go there so Itsuki could shine, haha! “It all works out for a reason.” Mochi is such a big brother to Sawamura! Ugh…I wish Sawamura would just speak his mind, though! It was very frustrating and then showing us that PTSD Ending? Nooooooo…show, that was cruel. I agree with you on Miyuki and him going pro and when he asked Furuya about it. Okay, that’s good to know about Asou and Zono - YES, 100% agree that the subtitles made that scene a little confusing when watching – but thank you for clarifying! I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE FINALE but YES, VERY NERVOUS TOO! October will be there before we know it! Thank you so much for the comment and watching along with me!
