Dear lord…I remembered the apes but I forgot about the spiders. How could I have forgotten about the spiders?! 😫😖 YW’s condition it certainly making him into a wild card here, huh? When he first started throwing away the jade stuff I thought maybe A-Yan was trying to sabotage his own recovery, because of he recovered then he would disappear and get replaced by Yan Wushi. But that ending bit makes me think he has something else in mind. Thank you for the video!

The Spiders and Apes were equally SCARY in this book – seriously, Meng Xi Shi makes them SUCH a threat! And yesssss, YWS is such a wild card, now! And yes, it makes it hard to see if he’s throwing the jade antidote to possibly make it a bargaining piece for Chen Gong but sabotaging his own recovery? I hadn’t thought about that, but I can see it, now! Thank you for the comment and kind words!!

The apes scared me so much the first time. I remember thinking, when you first started this series, that even if everything was spoiled there is no way anyone would believe the story.
