The Trust Value numbers are pretty unique looking, almost TOO unique looking, it makes it hard to distinguish the numbers but the other number on Dragon Boy was 5, so his Trust Value was 15 Luo/Calamity had 18

Another thing, Hero Conflict isn’t exactly the correct translation, it’s actually “Fēnliè” aka Split. So Hero Split Oh also, Dragon Boys Chinese/Real name is Liang Long

On the point you mentioned that different ceo's attract different heroes based on their personalities, I was just thinking that about Zach the other day. Like you said he is very 'whatever' just goes with the flow and is kind of an odd ball who stands out. No suit, playing videogames during meetings etc. The heroes he signed all are kind of oddballs who don't fit a typical hero mould. Big Johnny/Little Johnny are firstly a duo which is different and also Little Johnny is literally an alien creature. Then you got Lou Li who stands out because she didn't have trust value she became a hero through her special armour. She gains trust value later but we know her armour material isnt affected by trust or fear so I'm not even sure trust value impacts Lou Li at all. For her it may be just a number on her wrist. and finally Dj Shinding who is an odd ball cause he wasn't a hero that did something heroic like Firm Man or New E-soul to get started, he was just a popular dj and also kind of flamboyant. So I feel like FOMO and Zach attracts heroes that are oddities or 'exotic'

I've told her in my previous comment about the actual meaning of the name Conflict in English is closer to Split, (Redacted), but it might be better for her to know the name of the character as Split instead of Conflict to avoid confusion.

True, okay I’ll delete that part

Well if you go back to Luo Li introduction trust value did affect her like the guys believing she was cute at the gym made her trust value drop and she couldn't lift the weights anymore but I think with the armor trust and fear don't affect her but she probably will still need trust value in case the armor is destroyed like what happened with her fight with Nice. I totally agree tho that each CEO has their type with Mickey its females and not just any female figure clearly he wants to be able to control them and have them be a celebrity figure to the people which is why he wouldn't take someone like Luo Li. Zac wants heroes who won't fit in normally under other hero organizations. Rock wants impressionable trauma filled young boys that he can nurture to do his dirty work and you would think Shand doesn't have a type but oh he definitely does because all his heroes are perfectly packaged to not show weakness Firm Man not only couldn't physically lie down but he wasn't allowed to cry or be anything other than manly and solid as a rock. I forgot the hero name but the cleanup that came to wipe Moons memories also was perfectly packaged and all his scandals of using metal plates in boxing were swept under the rug. Shand takes on people who want to be heroes whether they have scandals or not and packages them flawlessly so the public accepts them as heroes. With Rock he rules MG with an iron fist and eliminates anything that could lead to a scandal.

I really love how this show starts a bit slow, but it ramps up and gains speed with every episode in such a fun way. It definitely gains momentum with every new episode. Being on this fandom while the episode were airing was such a fun time to be alive. I remember when the Ruins Incident happened and everyone was so flabbergasted that Nice had done... all of that; and then, we have this episode come around and show us what Mr. Shan was doing to Nice all along and the tune changed quickly lol. I mean, Mr. Shan is awful, but that was almost comical. All of Nice's backstory really sheds a light as to how he got to the point we met him at - how everything go to that point, to be honest. Nice dying with a smile he purposely gave Lin Ling is DIABOLICAL after learning that Smile is his idol. It breaks my heart that his joy and dream of wanting to be like Smile was twisted in such a way by Mr. Shan. Speaking of, Rock is still the worse of them all, but Mr. Shan is probably just a little behind in terms of awfulness. I can't believe Mikey is lagging at third place now for me. This new guy saying that he doesn't like to work overtime... is he the reincarnation of Nanami Kento? xD And he even seems to have the more serious undertone to his temperament and all. Smile is such a great hero, but it really hurts to see what this society does to its heroes. I don't believe that the public is aware of how they bind their heroes to certain things with their belief - considering how surprised Lin Ling, someone who had worked with heroes somewhat closely, was when he found out with Moon and Firm Man... which only makes it worse. Smile having to live with a smile permanently on his face for decades is excruciating to imagine, specially considering he mentions that he can't even shed tears. Also, I just have to mention it, but Smile not wanting to be recognized while wearing what seems to be his own merch is freaking hilarious to me, in a very adorable way as well. Now I'm a firm believer that those close to Rock are just as awful as him. Ghostblade was a part of his company but didn't seem to really know what was going on and that he was being manipulated by Rock, and one he figured out some of what was going on he left. So those who stay close to Rock really don't care about any of what he does.

What a heartbreaking episode 🥺 Seeing everything that Nice went through, and as it isn’t enough , then they show him as a lively child looking up to Smile, to end being tasked to eliminate him is absolutely wild and tragic Like how can you be this twisted Li Hualin? 😭😭 Also i absolutely loved you epiphany moment, it was amazing and made the discussion even better 😁 The ship was just too blinding 😛😛 If you look close, there are Xs on X pajamas when he was drinking with Smile 😁 Thank you for a great reaction and discussion.

Ooohhhh, thank you for pointing that out with the difference! That helps a lot! :D

Oohhh, okay! Thank you for noting that for me and for the comment!

The populace in the TBHX world isn't exactly "civilized" like ours today. There are lots of heroes who come and go for years already, yet the typical criminals are still popping up like the robbers who were stopped by E-Soul in EP6. With the power of Trust Value and the concern of the Commission, it's possible that the TBHX world is under a state of corporatocracy. The Commission and the hero agencies join forces to prevent another Dawnfall event. While the people are the Commission's concern, many of them are ignored at the same time, and those who are ignored sometimes do things less civilized. Even though the Commission acts out of fear of losing control over the Trust Value, using corporate systems to suppress the public makes the government and corporations partners in ruling society, kinda similar to the Fallout world before the bombs fell but with the bombs not going off afterward. The smile faces on Smile's outfits are changing slightly based off his mood during his fight against Bowa in EP11 and his fight against Dragon Boy in this episode.

You know, I never felt this show started “slow” but this arc perhaps did, but it’s REALLY ramped up to this point! And yes, to see OG!Nice being so horrifying was a TRIP! And yes, to see Mr. Shang being AWFUL and abusive - what a roller coaster! You immediately want to know more about OG!Nice and immediately know you’re going to regret that decision when we DO learn more. And yes, the fact that SMILE is his idol is so messed up! But yeah, Rock is still really bad and the worst of them all – and it’s WILD that they both make Mickey almost look WHOLESOME by comparison. Okay, I was literally thinking that “X” was like Nanami Kento; they’d be besties in real life! Smile really was a tragic figure, reminding me in a way of OG!E-Soul and how the system has broken him down over time. It’s really terrifying that he HAD to smile and couldn’t show sad emotions…definitely NOT healthy at all. OOohh, Rock having a “Type” with choosing Ghostblade and E-Soul is really interesting! I wouldn’t be surprised if there was something to that! Thank you so much for the comment!

romaniablack

That is a fair point about Zac and signing the oddballs that don’t fit another agency! I’m glad you noted that! And man….DJ Shindig – he could have had it all! Thanks for the comment!

romaniablack

Good note – Mickey’s just trying to mask or sell a persona of a ladies man, when we know he’s - ahem - more of a lady for the men – ahem.

romaniablack

The HEARTBREAK THIS WEEK! Seriously! Nice having Smile as his hero is so sad, especially with Mr. Shang tasking him to kill him – Li Haolin, WHEN I FIND YOU (and Gege)! My shipper goggles BLINDED me this week, to be sure! Thank you all for being so forgiving of me – we’ll see how YouTube behaves, haha!! But I’m glad that I know, now! AND – – OHHH, I thought those were STARS instead of “X’s” on his pajamas! XD I thought I saw a moon, too, so that led me to think that! AHAHAHA! Thank you for the comment and kind words!

romaniablack

The worldbuilding is definitely interesting, here! And I can see the Fallout comparisons for sure! That’s actually hilarious about Smile’s outfits changing based on the fight with Bowa and Dragon Boy! Thank you for the comment!
