Amos VAs both went crazy. They're awesome. My first watch, she really freaked me out. I actually think your complaint about Amo saying 'Take your masks off' is handled a bit better in the English version. Which is disappointing. She was much more casual about it. More of: "You can take your mask off if you want, it's safe here" It was way less pushy. Neither was great writing though, it's pretty on the nose

Oohhhhh, interesting about the mask note; yeah, that would have at least had more of a casual air about it - and maybe it's just the translation by CR here that makes it seem more extreme! Thank you for pointing that out, though, and YES! Amo's VA went off for this episode and it's really effective!! Thank you so much for the comment!

Caught up with your reactions on this series! It was fun to watch and hear the discussions thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying it, and the criticisms from a writing perspective are totally fair! I'd throw in too that Chiwa's disrespectfulness of her gift from Rudo, right after she defended him earlier when he was getting picked on by bullies, still feels a bit too much of a plot convenience, and we kinda see why in this episode. They didn't really give us any other side to her if she was a jerk and threw people away just like property to feel like that whole interaction really fits. But just a minor nitpick that didn't sit right with me the first time I watched! Looks like we got ourselves a Miss Goldenweek here! Who knew, not sure who I would prefer to be the target of haha, now that is a tough choice!

YAY! Thank you so much for the comment and I’m glad you’re caught up, right as we’re almost to the halfway point! I appreciate you being okay with my critiques with the writing – I also agree, it did feel “too sudden” for Chiwa to throw away the toy that Rudo gave her and might have worked to Amo’s benefit if she had held onto it. I agree, a minor nitpick that doesn’t sit right with me either; not enough to throw off the whole series, but I agree with you. And yessss, Miss Goldenweek! I hadn’t thought of it that way but that’s so true! But agree; I would NOT want to be the target of that power, either!
